Nasty cough you got there, Wak, better have your street doc check it out.

I suggest Sam's Surgery and Deli.  ;D

Is that right next to Dave's Dry Cleaning and Armory?

No, you're thinking of Boris' Boutique and Blades.

OK, I officially want a hoverboard now.

In unrelated news, I suddenly had an idea for a go-gang using hoverboards towed by bikes for fun and games on the freeway...

EDIT: Hmm, and the Nadeshiko looks perfect for an AI I've been wanting to bring to life...

Hands down, best release in 4th Edition.

You know, if the curse holds true, a new Riggers book means that a new edition of Shadowrun is on its way.... just saying is all.

The sad part is how hard some of us worked to make sure the rules for these things actually worked. :)  If I'd have had a little more time, I would have had some folks actually playtest the Warhammer BattleMech.  And I'm tempted to include the Hostile Amish Go-Gang in Season 5. :)

I'll probably allow most of the stuff you guys put in there at my table. No, I totally don't just do it so that my Ork can have a hoverboard and the awesome detector. There are other reasons that are absolutely justified and have nothing to do with me wanting to have that hoverboard. Loads and loads of reasons. Like...uhm...oh, looky there, I have to go and...spray paint my oven. Guess I just don't have enough time to give you that most definitely extensive list of very important reasons why we need that stuff. Too bad, really, I'd have loved to go into such great detail about it...

I don't care what anybody says Kodeshiko MK-4's can definitely find a place in my runs. Usually as overwatch for Mages and Hackers who leave their meat behind. Or as scouts. Or anything really.....

The Amish vehicle and the "Awesome Detector" would be the main things I wouldn't let be used, personally. Just a bit too silly for my tastes. The BattleMech though...I am so tempted to put a platoon of those in the next high security complex I make.

A platoon? You only need 1. 4 Machine guns can pretty much obliterate everything.

Well, I was thinking high security Merc installation for a company that keeps a platoon of them ready for deployment at any given time :P

Do some homework before hand, get the cyberware, ride out in style.

Last night I listened to Ep. 5 of the Critical Glitch podcast w/ Bull as guest. And today I'm reading about the Amish war buggy, which dovetails so nicely into their banter.

And, best of all, I now know exactly what it takes to add more of Bull's vans to the existing pile of Bull's van wreckage littering the sixth world wastelands.

What mercenary company is going to have a platoon of mechs at 50 MILLION nuyen each, not counting the things to go in the mod slots? Now, a merc company that has one, maybe two? I'll buy that, especially if they have Ares ties. Because remember, you have to visit an Ares delta clinic in order to get the cyberware (another 2.75 million nuyen) to control the thing. Otherwise, it is simply a big target that can't even shoot back.

Originally I had a "stock loadout" for this thing, but ultimately decided it wasn't necessary with the MIPS system, so left them out.  My original loadout was:

Arms:
2x Phalanx Rotary Autocannons (Miltech Spec 1)
2x Medusa Point Defense Laser (Miltech SPec 2)

Chest:
2x Ares Heavy Rail Gun (Miltech Spec 1)

Shoulders:
2x Missile Launchers w/ Ares Demonfire Rockets (Miltech Spec 1)

Internal MIPS would include 1 Rotocannon Ammo Bin, 1 Rail Gun Ammo bin, 2 Missile Bins, and 2 extra Heat Sinks.

Kane's probably got one by now ;)

Who you kiddin'? Kane is probably the first man ever to gather a full regiment of them. :P

Very nice product you guys made there. A lot of actually useful stuff in there, thank you. Even stuff that actually adds to the game in general. Too bad it'll all be disallowed in any real products just because it was in the April fools book...

That won't stop me from using that stuff tho. My rigger thanks all the writers for this.

And as for the Mech. I could see the Azzies stealing this for use against Dragons.

By the way, if anything out of the book gets made official in SR5, please make it the Nadeshiko! That baby fills a hole that has been there for far, far too long.

What about the Hoverboard or the Pound-Penny-Farthing?

The April Fools books are quasi-canon. :)

And, yeah, I want to get the MK-5 in when we get an opening in SR-5. We'll be able to get a REAL artist instead of my crappy art for it. (WHich didn't make it in. The MK-4 is based off the normal "Robot Maid" from today's Manga, complete with two metal antennae as "ears", which marks it clearly as non-human, despite the rest of it looking human. Older models look less realistic, of course.

One addition that I planned on for months, but didn't get in due to my art just keeling over and DYING, was Truckasaurus. A Truckasaurus vs Battlemech battle was *begging* to happen, but, sadly, it didn't make it in for now. Maybe in the future. AFter all, it could show up in your town on any given sunday Sunday SUNDAY!!!

Ahem.

Lastly, around midnight on the 31st, Shannon Galvin sent me a more finished form of the Hoverboard art. Shannon was the artist behind Spore, and is the lead of The Witness, which should be out this year on, like, every system as well as PC. You could see a trailer for it at the Playstation 4 reveal. (Shannon was also the art behind most editions of Sim City. And the police chief in one of the cinematics. Talented!) I'm gonna put a link to my Photobucket account here, so y'all can see the final form (Well, until the hits crash my poor account. Have a lil' mercy!) ... MAJOR kudos to Shannon for this one. If you see a place doing a review of the Witness, be sure to drop by there and compliment the art. :)

Feel free to color her in and share your artistic vision! 'Boards are all about being painted all fancy, and I'm curious what you people can come up with in terms of neat designs. (Later, I might post the original, so you can all point and laugh. OMG, are my hands bad! And heads. And feet. And, well, all of it, really!)

I just would've preferred a REAL Rigger 4 rather than an April Fools book for that, complete with comprehensive 'from scratch' vehicle design rules.

Well...vehicle design rules that weren't just modifying existing vehicles are one of the few things that are missing from 4th, but are really needed.

Mod rules would be nice, I agree, but we'll have to sit down and really crank on 'em before they drop out.

Personally, I'd love for RIgger 5 to be, like, the FIRST book out for 5th, if only to watch people panic about 6th edition. :D

Well, for 5th, I'd like the first source book to be something like a combination of Arsenal from 4th and Rigger 3--with CREATION rules rather than only Modification rules (even if it needs to be rather large and cost as much as the core book to compensate).

Out of Rigger 4, I'd probably use the Hoverboard at some point, and I just finished creating an AI Face/Assassin that lives in a Nadeshiko MK-4. Why? Because it was begging to be done. I call her Tamamo-no-Mae.

IMO it was told somewhere that 5th ed would allow and support construction and tunning greatly, using modular gear etc. One of things Im looking 4wd with greatest expectations.
