Title: Touchlink
Post by: VajraSupremus on <05-31-13/1840:36>
What does a touchlink do exactly? Its descriptor is far too vague.

Do you mean Skinlinks, or am I missing some special item?

Touchlink, under Bodywear in SR4A pg 342. I guess maybe you could use it for cyberlimbs? Not really sure but I hope it has nothing to do with cyber sheep.

Yeah, sounds like a way for your cyberlimbs to be able to send their detailed intel to you.

Matrix nodes can be sculpted with many different sensations (vision, sound, touch, smell etc.).
You experience them all when visiting the node in Virtual Reality...

Most users only interact with Augmented Reality using the most basic senses (vision via imagelink (glasses for example) and sound via soundlink (earbud, headset...)).
Using a touchlink would allow you to experience the tactile information also, but they are relatively uncommon, because you can just use a sim modul for the "full simsense" AR experience.

Don't spring for the smelllink option. It's not worth the trouble.

Unless you find a fully smell-sculpted node, then it pays for itself in digi-nasal rapture.

Hopefully it's not a sculpt of a sewer. ;)
