Title: I've got Shotgun
Post by: calaen on <08-01-13/1744:27>
Okay, seriously though, I'm eyeing the PJSS model 55 from the SR5 book, and thinking 'that'd be great if you chopped the stock and the barrel down a bit so you could hide it under a lined coat"

So, drop the accuracy on it by one and reduce the range as an exchange for the mod?

You can just buy the Defiance in the Short Barrel version. Drops concealment from +6 to +4, DV becomes 9P, and it uses Heavy Pistol ranges.

Yeah, I really like the concept of the double barreled sawed off though.  Its at least partly for flavor reasons.

Then just make the same changes to the PJSS. 10P DV, Concealability becomes +4, and you get Heavy Pistol ranges.

You could also use SR4:s barrel reduction rules until "Run and Gun" comes out with the SR5 modding rules.
"Reducing the barrel decreases the range categories by 20% and reduces Concealability by 1. Shotguns that have their barrels reduced (sawed off  ) cannot use the narrow spread."
And then maybe another -1 to concealibility for the stock removal.
