Title: Thread for self-destruct LE
Post by: roal4151 on <09-18-13/2334:17>
Starting this place to see how many of us have issue with the Limited Edition book loosing their pages and to see what will offer Catalyst to fix that issue, if they are responsible and caring of their customers base

If you lose pages from a PDF, then you've got bigger problems. :P

I had nothing to do with it.

Also, that's crappy, sorry to hear that guys. Hope they hook you up with replacements.

My LE hasn't started to fall apart, but I've only opened it a handful of times. Hopefully I'm in the clear. :/

You will not be fine; it take a number of openings and closings ( I am not talking here of thousands of openings,  but more like hundreds, before someone else here find a reason to defend Catalyst stating that with a million, it is normal to break...) before the book begin its process of  pages loosening. You have only to look to the system they have used (a small amount of glue on all pages instead of separate blocks of pages with glue) to understand what is happening. I do understand that it is not Catalyst who print their books, BUT it is them that choose their printer so final responsabillity is Catalyst.

Yup. LE falling apart at first reading. Dammit.

Yup; we call that: MADE IN CHINA. If not made in China, it is simply worse and mean we are not even able to make a properly constructed book in USA... And as we see it in this forum, the silence of Catalyst is eloquent here. They don't know what to do with this hot potato issue since all LE editions fifth edition books will have the problem AND, as stated earlier, the regular edition will have the same issue because, after having looked at it in a store, it has the same construction!!!

Might be they're staying silent due to legal matters.
