So, being based on the west coast of Canada, I wanted to give my players a familiar setting to run in, so in my particular version of Shadowrun, the Seattle and Vancouver sprawls merge into each other, and the whole stretch is part of the UCAS.
For some reason, this got me thinking that the most popular sport in northern north america is now Ork Rules Hockey. It's an extremely violent sport, played with body armour and dual-bladed sticks (one wood, one metal). It resembles Urban Brawl a lot, except on ice.
So far I have the local team as the Seattle-Vancouver Knucks (currently Vancouver Cannucks, nickname is the 'nucks, seemed like a good fit).
Please help contribute to this great sport with additional team names! Violent puns on existing teams are encouraged, or really anything that will make my players groan. SR thematic names are best, of course, including new cities/countries, and corporate-sponsored teams. All cities are good, as the sport should cross national boundaries.
So what's the team from Denver? Chicago? Saskatoon? Tsimshian? Does the CAS have one? Let's have fun with this.

Polar werewolves the aggresive team from awakened siberia. consists entirely of awakened critters. The team has had some up and downs in its history, the most notably were when Yuri Sakha, a centaur, was introduced to the team, it was like watching Bambi ice, not pretty at all. The team took another popularity dive/rise after Misha, the goal keeper, turned into a bear and ate the face of an opponent. Their team captain Grigory, a wolf shapeshifter, has a massive scar from ear to chin, because of a silver edged hockeystaff.

So I imagine the NHL has disbanded and reformed into the ORL (Ork Rules League) or something? I could see an organized, professional sports league sort of crossing national boundaries... it's one of those things that keep the nations sort of on friendly terms with each other. So yeah, I could see the CAS having a few teams.
Not sure about Chicago, though... maybe other teams come down w/ the SR version of the "Philly flu"... back in the '70s, the players on opposing teams would get mysteriously sick because they didn't want to face off against the Flyers who were notorious for their entire bench emptying onto the ice and beating people up at the time.
Only it's worse now, because everyone KNOWS the Chicago team is crawling with Bugs!
My brother just texted me w/ the suggestion of Blood Runners for a possible team name.

How about the Denver Thunderbirds? T-birds for short. Denver Dragons? Maybe the T-birds moved to another city and Denver was w/o a team for a while and only recently got a franchise back... hence the Dragons. Happens IRL from time to time.
Long Island Skull Crackers.
Memphis Mayhem?
New Orleans Vampires? Fangs? Something else vampire related?
New Jersey can prolly stay as the Devils, hunh? ;D
Detroit Predators? Ares MacroTech is based in Detroit, right? Think they'd sponsor (*cough* own *cough*) a Detroit based team?

Halifax Mooseheads. A previously semi-amateur team back in the 20th and early 21st century, the shifting nations and changeover from the former NHL to Ork Rules Hockey League allowed this team to go professional. With the increased violence and brutality that comes with the sport, as well as a need for some east-coast endorsement and additional funding, the Mooseheads established a now-longstanding tradition of recruiting from former members of the UCAS military, particularly from the former Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland. While just as strong a team when dealing out violence, their talent truly lies in their military heritage and exceptional on-ice coordination between players.
