Title: [SR5] Electronic Warfare autosoft use (Resolved)
Post by: Pontoark on <12-23-13/1256:00>
In pg 269, Electronic Warfare is described as a option for a drone autosoft, so I started to when would a Drone use it, and apparently there is no way a Drone would ever use it, unless this drone can make Electron-
ic Warfare + Logic [Data Processing] test as describe in pg 268 instead of the Rigger to reduce the Rigger noise.

Am I missing something? have any of your drones ever used Electronic Warfare?

Edit: I just found out a use for Electronic Warfare Autosoft: The Radio signal scanner Sensor. p 446

if you have a sensor array then you can use electronic warfare instead of perception (or in the case of a drone clear sight?)
but besides that.... nope.
can't really find any reason.

would be cool if the auto pilot could turn the drone into a mobile jamming device but it need an attack rating for that.... heh

Back in 4th, Agents could use autosoft programs as well. In fact, getting Electronic Warfare as an autosoft would really be the only way an Agent could use anything under that skill.

Not sure if they still can or not...

an interesting idea would be to run decryption on your RCC and share it to your drone so they get an attack rating. then have the pilot use electronic warfare to turn the drone into a mobile jamming device with a 100 meter radius.... ;)
