"Overflow =Body + Augmentation bonuses"
What does "Augmentation bonuses" refer to?
Also, why would anyone want to increase their overflow boxes
if you auto die when your overflow damage exceeds your Body?
-
The Will to Live Quality adds Damage Overflow Boxes, and those extra Overflow boxes represent being able to take more Overflow damage without dying: so instead of dying if your overflow damage exceeds (Body), you die if your overflow damage exceeds (Body + bonus overflow).
-
Okay, but what about Augmentation bonuses?
Is this a +1 for every Augmentation you have, or only if a specific augmentation says it adds overflow boxes?
-
I suspect it's a mistake, and that +Augmentation Bonuses line should be in the Physical Monitor line, where cyberlimbs actually add boxes.
-
How do cyber limbs add Physical boxes?
Only if they add Body?
-
For each cyberlimb you get 1 extra physical box. Cyberlimbs, and cyberware for that matter, never adds Body. Only 1 permanent augmentation increasing Body exists, namely Suprathyroid Gland.
-
But this is only for Overflow boxes right?
-
No, each cyberlimbs (with partial limbs counting half) gives +1 regular Physical box. That's non-overflow. So someone with Body 5, Will to Live 3 and 2 cyberlimbs will have 8+(5/2, round up = 3) + 2 = 13 Physical Condition Monitor Boxes, and another 5+3 = 8 Physical Condition Overflow Boxes, meaning they'd need to take a total of 13 Physical Damage (or whatever fills the Stun track) to lose consciousness, and 13+8+1 = 22 Physical Damage to die.
-
Which is why I noted it seems like a mistake and it should be in a different line. There are NO augmentations boosting Physical Condition Overflow Boxes. There is 1 kind of augmentation boosting the Physical Condition Monitor Boxes.
