Just read Gun and Run, so what's up with the Boston Quarantine zone?

Shadowrun Online: Boston Lockdown, some info is teased on https://twitter.com/Jackpoint2075
Short version: An unknown dragon came from the underground, went haywire and attacked the NeoNet towers, blue rain appeared, and after that people seem to have started going haywire and now walls have been erected around Beantown.
-
So that's the campaign for Shadowrun Online!
-
Not suprised that it was implied strongly that any Renraku citizen that got trapped in Boston is subject to revokation of Renraku citizenship and probably physical termiantion on sight.
-
Really hope this didn't happen in the Rox....I've got so many contacts hanging out over there to contain them....
-
This seems like just the excuse the squares would need to wall off the Rox for good.

Apparently Orks and Trolls are far more easily infected, and dwarves and elves also more easily, or at least more likely to die from this stuff. Sounds hard to believe, though maybe it's caused by a clash between Sybil personality (mostly humans) and the body? I wonder...
I googled and found "NEMA/Boston" = North-Eastern Massachusetts as used by the Power Grid companies, so basically NEMA equals Boston and then some I guess?

Northeastern Metroplex Axis (NEMA):
What they call the Northeast Corridor, or the Northeastern Metroplex Axis (NEMA), makes up the heart of UCAS technological and financial resources. It's also the oldest and most densely populated area of the UCAS, basically one giant sprawl stretching from Boston down to Philadelphia, which means that it has a big influence on the nation's politics. In other words, the Northeast is a happening place in the UCAS, especially if you're a shadowrunner.

For some reason, I can imagine Slamm-O! making a comment about it being natural that, in a state full of Massholes, the QZ would have to be the blocked-up (or walled off) sphincter. Then again, have been on a sourcebook reading binge lately. :)
-
There definitely would've been a line like that if I wrote it. But since I didn't, I can't say what if anything has been written on the topic. :-/

Speaking of the NEMA, interestingly enough JackPoint used a different name than Stolen Souls, Patricia Anne vs Penelope Ann. Wonder if it's a communication mistake between the different writer teams, or she's using a different alias now.

Either she's really dumb when it comes to new aliases or there was a slight miscommunication amongst the writers. The fiction writers for L5R (which is largely Asian-inspired names) mess up names all the time.

...looks like my campaign just picked the right time to leave Boston.
Shit. My character's lawyer and kid are still in town.
*sigh* This is gonna get awkward.
-
So your kid might gonna be a head case then? ^_^

And after I just paid my lawyer to start putting out the bribes to get him into a private boarding school too (Carlos's Son Levi, unlike carlos, has a valid UCAS SIN).
Worse, I also gave him a huge pile of money to start a merchandising company to "Che Guevara" one of our deceased player characters, who was arrested by some drakes on national TV after having a surprisingly jaunty fight with Boston's resident vigilante, Revere.
(The prick, Revere, got what was coming to him at least)
