With stolen souls bringing back DMSO I am fondly reminded of my first character. A rigger whose favorite drone happened to be a rotodrone loaded up with neurostun, DMSO and a sprinkler system. This little combination was pretty effective at dealing with groups of dangerous enemies. With it returning what other cleaver ideas can fellow people come up with this thing? I've consider having my Gun Adept just purchase one of those little Ares Light Fire 70's with the silencer and filling capsule rounds with these two little things. Although in hind sight a squirt gun loaded with neurostun and DMSO might just be enough I just won't get the range of a light fire with a capsule round.

If you've got some money have real fun with it.
Full-auto weapon + capsule rounds + Whatever drugs you can afford + suppressive fire.
Enjoy.

There's also using a full auto weapon and capsule rounds to assassinate some via drug overdose now...

I wonder if I can neurostun someone to the point that just die.

Probably not as effectively as simply shooting them in the head. :P

I'll be sad to see DMSO return, myself: I've seen too many "but DMSO means I can use KE IV and have it deal serious damage to metahumans while being cheap and completely legal even though it normally only deals damage to metahumans if ingested" character sheets on forums.
-
KE IV?
Also, if you want to go cheap, wouldn't gasoline/flamethrower fuel be cheaper? Then, just set them on fire once their skin is nice and flammable?
-
KE IV?
KE IV has a Contact vector, Immediate speed, 8 Power (and dealt acid damage), Availability 8, and was 10¥ per dose - and it only dealt damage to metahumans if ingested, since it was basically a pesticide on steroids, to deal with bug spirits and bug critters. However, plenty of people decided that they could take the 100%-legal-and-not-restricted Super Squirt, and add 100%-legal-and-not-restricted KE IV, and use the combo to kill people.
-
Oh! That sounds handy!
Is that the stuff developed by Telestrial? Or did Telestrial develop something else?
-
You'd have to ask someone who's more familiar with the metaplot, I'm afraid - 4E Arsenal doesn't list a manufacturer.
-
It was developed by Ares for their Firewatch teams. When it touches a bug or bug spirit in flesh form, it makes them go berserk and attack each other. I think the plan was ultimately to make grenades with the stuff and lob it into bug holes.
-
Well there is alot of other nasty thing that you can mix into DMSO. For example DMSO and drain-o or other lethal if ingested house hold chemicals and crap.
-
Yeah, but the problem is that KE IV is cheap as hell and not restricted, so nobody cares if you walk around with a hundred doses. The toxins are all far more expensive per round, and get legal attention. And it's only supposed to be lethal by ingestion, so DMSO shouldn't matter at all there. It'd be simpler if DMSO stated it would let you Inject as Contact instead.

Guys, thank you for the metaplot info ^^
Also, there is some really nasty stuff you can do with DMSO and inhalation-vector gases. You can turn a group of security guards into walking hallucination factories by using spray-and-pray tactics with capsule rounds loaded with DMSO and Bliss. If you're lucky, the guards will also be hallucinating. Even better if you spray-and-pray them, then lead them on a chase through a group of wageslaves.

I'm going to use that.

And I named the wrong drug. It's Zen that causes hallucinations. Oops...
Still, it can be done ^^
