Title: Mil spec and helmets
Post by: Ishmell on <07-06-14/1759:30>
In the description of the hardened mil spec battle armor they all cover you from head to toe. So that tells me that the armor rating listed includes the helmet so you can't buy the one listed on the same table.

This seems wrong to me, is this just poor reading on my part or is the description a little wonky?

the helmet is separate. If you don't buy the helmet, you have an armor suit that covers you from neck to toe.

Think Warhammer where you can see Space Marines running around in their battle armor, and no helmet.

I particularly liked one story where the Chaos Marine was intentionally head shotting all these guys in a fight seeing as they weren't wearing helmets. :P

I admit the system with +armor may seem odd, just as the same way actually wearing your helmet increases your overall armor which you use to roll against damage, even if it was a normal chest shot.  It's a game mechanic and leave it at that.
