Title: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <11-21-14/0028:42>
It’s a Thursday, yet another evening in our headquarters in Fort Lewis. The youngest member, bnc, hast just joined the runner group a month ago and we finished our first mutual run just last weekend. We’re sitting around in the living room, drinking a bit and listineng to movies, when the party’s teenager comes up with an idea.
„Let’s get to know each other a bit,“ she says and grabs a bottle. „Let’s play a game of Truth or Dare.“ She smirks provocatively. „Who’s in?“

"You do know that with shadowrunners it's always dare and never truth, right?"
Torrent was actually watching the movie playing in trideo but the rest of the team knew that he'd probably watched it half a dozen times already.

"That depends on the Truth, the Dare and the runner. And on how long this runner wants to stay alive. I don't know much about shadowrunning, but I know a lot about psychology. And both say: A team that can't trust each other is not going to stay a live team very long."

Now Torrent  turned away from the trid, all boredom gone from his voice.

"And what does trust have to do with truth my beautiful one?You only trust what you think you know. You can trust that a fellow teammate will cover your lovely  buttocks, that he will stick with the plan once the bullets and the wild  mojo start flying... what use is there for stories of favorite childhood pets and memories of family tragedies in our line of profession?"

"Who said I was goi..." bnc than decided to drop her oh-so-clever answer and takes up that kinky smile of hers.

"Well, even if it's not saving my ass, I guess it might be fun to know at which age you had your first oral. And I don't mean exam. If you're shy, there's still a whole lot of Dare that might be fun, sweetheart.

Who else is in for a game?"

Kresto was busying himself at a table near the back of the room, idly watching the trid, a bottle of what humans call beer on the table while his hands were at work, his Ares Crusader field-stripped before him.  He almost didn't hear bnc pipe up as he was cleaning the gun barrel, perking up when Torrent gave a response.  "Hm..." he muttered quietly to himself, a small smirk crossing his features.  What are you up to....  He shook his head, clearly amused as he set down the Crusader barrel, cracking his neck.

"I am unfamiliar with this game, but you two suggest it to be simple enough.  Like a game of, how do you say...cracking the ice?  Very well, if this is how we will be spending this evening, then how can I refuse?  I am in"

Slobbertooth wandered into the trid room from the kitchen with the sandwich he had spent the last 15 minutes preparing. It wasn't a very complicated or ornate sandwich, he just wasn't particularly skilled at food prep. He was still wearing his armor jacket. It'd kept him warm those first few weeks out on the streets after he left the Armstrong home, and it helped him feel safe and not that far from his adoptive family. He told people he wore it because he was always looking for a fight. Orks aren't supposed to have soft sides.

"Eh, whatever, I'm in. Just don't expect me to not speak with my mouth full."

bnc grins. "That's the spirit, guys. By the way - am I the only girl who's in? I decidedly protest against that!"
She looks for Jane, but can't find her, then sighs.
"Um, anyway. Okay, let's make the rules more runner adapted. You get the truth and the dare before you choose. That way you don't have to tell us your favourite pet and we'll get an interesting impression on which questions you deny to answer." She smirks. You don't know her well, but she mentioned on one place or another that she loved psychology and everything associated with it.
"Let's get started, boys"

She takes the beer bottle and gives it a twist.
After three or four rounds the bottle neck finally points in Torrent (http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=18771.msg333457#new)'s direction. "Ooh, Torrent.
Okay, pick: Truth is "Have you ever failed to finish a run?", Dare is "Try to kiss Krestov". Your choice."

As bnc was explaining the rules and setting up the game, Krestov decided to quickly finish his cleaning work, and began to reassemble his Crusader.  He blinked a few times, working his head around the rules with a curt nod.  So basically, you either share something about yourself, or do something the asker thinks you will find uncomfortable.  Sounds easy..

As bnc gave Torrent the truth and dare options, as if he timed it, he was finished reassembling his firearm, racking the slide with a loud "click, CLICK"  just as she finished the part about Torrent kissing him.   He paused, glancing around silently, as if the air was thick with suspense.

" Not that Krestov isn't a cutie but I feel I'm in a confessing mood.So...failed?No.Denied?Yes.Unfortunately the Johnson refused to see the distinction."

As he spoke the words his eyes hardened for a brief moment. But that  expression vanished  quickly and now bnc had the feeling that the color and the shape of his eyes had an uncanny resemblance to  her own. With a smile he catches the bottle and gives it a spin.

Slobbertooth speaks through a bite of sandwich, "Ah'm cheap, so twuff." He takes a  sip of his soy kaf to down the sandwich and answers the question. "Easy, Jane. If only because I would love to tell some elf poser in the club that I, a big & ugly ork, have done some tight interfacing with the real thing. Also, I'm afraid I'd hurt bnc."

Then I guess it's my turn to spin the bottle.

"Well then, it's to you Torrent." Slobbertooth takes a bite of sandwich. "How avout thi, Twuth: Have you eveh twied to find your pawents? Dayre: Twy to sneak up on Jane, an' pull a hair ovv her head widout gettin noticed."

Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <11-24-14/0931:19>
As Torrent says "Easy, Jane" bnc seems to be a little upset, but she catches herself quite quickly. At the "I'm afraid I'd hurt bnc" sentence she suppresses a grin and shoots a short glance to Krestov, then again follows the bottle. She seems to be enjoying herself rather well.

Jeez, I just hope there's nothing too embarassing waiting for me...

"Ah!Let's build some trust! So bnc...Truth:what is your greatest fear? Dare:Hack into a restaurant's delivery list and order us some food for free.Games and friendly chat are fine but they do nothing for my hunger. And please remember:gluten free"
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <11-24-14/2210:36>
bnc looks a little surprised. My greatest fear. He could have started with something less nasty. Luckily, I'm hungry, too.

"Now, that's the spirit." She chews her lip for jsut a second. "Are you fine with pizza? I'll order at ... let me see ... Sissiphus. Italian and Greek food. Here's the menu. All gluten-free."
bnc produces an ARO displaying Sissiphus' menu. "Choose wisely! When the song is finished, our meals should be on the way. If I don't mess up. Ah, and don't enter your choice in the ARO. Tell me. I'll generate an entry in their distribution file and hope they don't double-check it too thouroughly."
With that, our radio system turns on and plays "Whacky Wheels" by The Willow Sisters; and bnc's body goes limp.
After roughly ten seconds her voice appears on the group channel. „Did you make your choice? I take Greek yoghurt and some halvas. From what I heard, the Quattro Stagioni is supposed to be splendid.“

Krestov perked up, a low rumble emanating from his throat as he joined the chat with his reply.

"Two of the largest size for me, whatever passes for meat.  Slobber, do we have any more of that wheat water you guys like to drink?"

"You're too kind" Krestovs smirks wryly, giving a nod.  "Sure, coke works for me.  Maybe I have a Jack here as well, I look..." He took a quick glance to the others, curious about their choice of food before lumbering off, calling back to them.  "From what I know of this game, I believe it is bnc to spin next?"

She collects the orders quickly, and manipulates the file. Within seconds, she's back to her meat body to take up the action. She runs her fingers through her hair before she twists the bottle and waits expectantly for the result.
Slobbertooth. The bottle's neck points almost directly at the Ork.

"Slobbertooth again. Alright. Truth: At which age did you kill for the first time?
Dare: Pick up the pizzas naked, when they arrive."

Slobbertooth takes a sip of his soykaf to wash down his most recent bite of sandwich. "Truth. I don't have any qualms with talking about that, and it's too cold to be out naked.

"I was 15 yeas old. Some Human Supremacists were aggravating my kin because I lived with them. I didn't take to kindly to it. Wolf didn't take to kindly to it. I wanted to protect my family. There are two fewer punks in the world now."

Slobbertooth responds after taking a bite of sandwich, "Yes, Wolf. Haff I nefer told vou 'bout him before?" He continues after a sip of soykaf and with a tusky grin, "Well, I guess you'll just have to spin the bottle and ask me a clever question to get me to tell you all about him." He takes his big meaty paws and grabs the bottle, giving it another spin.

1d4 (http://orokos.com/roll/236541): 3

"Welp that's you Krestov. Truth: What was it like to grow up as one of us goblinized metahumans in your home country? Dare: Go make a turban out of toilet paper and wear it around the house during the rest of the game."
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: SgtBoomCloud on <12-05-14/1704:07>
Krestov had a stony look through Slobbertooth's answer to his truth, giving a nod.  Humanists.  That hit home.

Listening up as the bottle pointed at him, he gave a small chuckle, closing his eyes and shaking his head.  "Given what we are about to eat, I would hate to waste precious toilet tissue on my head.  So, truth."

He took a breath, turning in his seat to face the group.  "Truth was, I wouldn't be able to tell you the normal life for 'one of us' in my home.  I was plucked early from my family and stuck in KE's Academy, Russian Division.  Some special project or whatever.  All drills and training."

He gave a grin.  "Still, I would imagine the looks of fear, disgust, and the derision of my size is pretty normal.  Now, let's see here..."

With a ginger flick of the wrist, Krestov Spun the bottle. (http://orokos.com/roll/236555): 1d4 1, nearly flinging it off the table as it twirled, eventually halting in the direction of bnc.  He raised a brow in surprise.

"Very well, malyutka.  Truth: Upon meeting us, how much digging with that little deck of yours did you do, hm?  ...Dare."  he drew his metal flask from his hip, known to have a dark drink strong enough to affect someone his size.  "Take a swig and not gag on it."
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <12-05-14/2256:02>
bnc looks Slobbertooth in the eye. Neither of you knows her very long but you found out about some peculiar interests of her: medicine, chemistry, psychology. And magic. Whatever she's interested in, she eats bookshelves about. Virtual ones, that is. She knows more about magic than any of the team. Chances are, she knows more about magic than anybody you know. Still, she's giddy as a girl when it comes to real-life encounters with Awakened ones. You can see the greedy shimmer in her eyes, yearning to hear more about what she already knows like few ones else.

Upon staring, she missed the spin and got caught off-balance. "What? Oh. Oh, me again?"
She then gives the choices a thought. To be honest, both are tempting in a way. Isn't it part of the game to do something you don't want to? Anyway.

"Truth, but I'll take a small sip anyway, if you don't mind." She blinks at him, knowing what kind of liquor Krestov drinks, and reaches for the flask. "Well, to be honest, I did what research I do on all the people I work with for a longer time. I guess the word that describes it best is: Thouroughly."
Careful now, bnc. Boasting can be dangerous. Krestov may take it easy, but how are guys like Torrent or Slobbertooth going to react? Runners tend to be a bit touchy about their private sphere.
Hoping he would not ask any detail questions about what "thouroughly" is supposed to mean, she quickly grabs the bottle and gives it a spin (http://orokos.com/roll/236652): 1d4 2.
"Torrent," she says with a smile. "Okay, let's learn some stuff. Truth: What would have to happen for you to betray your team? Dare: Empty Krestov's flask within the next 10 minutes."

Torrent flashes a charming smile

"Betray my team? I'd never do such a thing!A bad rep is the second fastest way to an early retirement.Having to become a sarariman for the next couple of  centuries is a terrifying prospect for me!"

Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <12-06-14/0848:35>
bnc raises an eyebrow. "Oh come on, Torrent!"
This is no Truth or Dare answer. It's just an empty phrase.
"Are you telling me that, when a rat is digging through your bowels, you have been deprived of sleep for 72 hours, they threaten to gauge your eyes out and eat your dick, kill your sister and - well, you got my meaning. Are you telling me, that you would under no circumstances whatsoever betray your team?"

bnc leans back, scrutinizing Torrent's expression.
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Sabato Kuroi on <12-06-14/1143:51>
"Oh so you would consider someone a traitor for breaking under  extreme physical and psycological stress while a rat digs through his bowels...that's quite interesting.I never thought I lived with a fanatic."

His expression didn't change.Bnc's eyes seemed so strange upon that smiling elven face.

"The question is, would I leave another member of my team behind, to be tortured like that? Now  that  would classify as betrayal. And I already gave you an answer."
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <12-06-14/2224:04>
"The question was not one of ethical evaluation but about what it would take to break you.
However, let's spin the bottle."

Cheater. But then, did I reveal everything when it was my turn? Well, better not push these things too far. It's a game after all.

She casts again a glance at Torrent and shudders. Remember your place, Bianca. You've been on a single run. Apart from that, you're just some street kid luckily to be picked up by one professional. These are full-blown shadowrunners. Killing you in an instant is the least painful they can do with you when you try to fuck with them. Keep it down - Sis ain't there to protect you anymore.

She averts her eyes from Torrent and anyone who is paying attention to her face closely can read that her confidence is blown away. She directs her glance to Krestov, for just a second, takes his flask and takes a good sip. She coughs like hell, but this is just the distraction she needs before the bottle starts spinning again.

Krestov was sure to leave his flask out for the little human girl, not bothering to return it to his hip for the time being...it might see some more use before the day was through.  He frowned a little at the exchange between bnc and Torrent, but he kept quiet, only speaking up once they were through.

"There's a code among runners that most all hold sacred: with all the Johnsons, gangers, corporates, KE, Lonestar, beasts, and such trying to end us all in every job, all we have in the end is other runners."

He gave a reassuring smile, hand lifting up a little disarmingly, trying to quell any tension before it arose.  Bianca, I know you're new at this, so it is something to learn..not everyone is open to direct analysis like that.  Still, no ham done...  Breathing a sigh, he eased back and awaited the spin...

The big troll sighed a little, shaking his head with a smirk, a heavy palm slapping against his forehead.  "Heh...I know someone in my life that would pay to see that dare through.   That being said, I would hate to accidentally harm the bringer of our dinner, heh."  Cracking his neck, his smile faded as he leaned forward.

"...to answer the Truth..yes.  I did once strike someone out of hate, and they wound up dead before they hit the ground.  It was...regrettable, but the alternative would have been even more so."  He gave a wry smirk as he reached for the bottle.  "It is dark, but we are only metahuman, right?  here..."  He spun the Bottle (http://orokos.com/roll/238066): 1d4 4, seeing it fall upon Slobbertooth.

"Hmm...okay.  Truth: Before the Azzie job, did you have any doubts about our abilities or trustworthiness?   And for Dare: ...open the door for pizza, screaming with a gun out to get the driver to drop our food at the door..."

bnc surpresses a shudder as she imagines Krestov hitting a person to death with a single punch, then grins at the imaginative vision ob Slobbertooth screaming at the pizza man.

Slobbertooth is almost surprised by the question because the answer seems so obvious. "Yes," he continues curtly, "Trust takes time." Slobbertooth's demeanor does not reveal any expectation of a harsh reaction from those in the room.

As I expected.  In the shadows, though, this is common

Krestov gave a small, just as curt nod.  "As is normal.  You only had the Johnon's word that we were capable of the job.  You needed to see us in action first, as is expected."  He gave a reassuring smirk, feeling on fire with his English tonight.

bnc swallows ever so slightly and blushes a tiny little bit. Then, looking at Krestov's face, she fights hard to suppress a grin. She looks at Krestov expectantly, interested in what he now chooses to say or do. While doing so, she says, still grinning: "You're a drekhead, Slobbertooth."
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare

He blinks, eyebrow raised as Slobbertooth posed the question, following immediately by bnc's reaction.   He gives a smile, but looks very puzzled.  Sitting up, he cleared his throat.

"Ah...before I decide, you're going to have to enlighten me...the only raspberry I know is a rare fruit object, which I know we don't have...I assume that you mean something else?"
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <12-13-14/1505:56>
bnc's grin widens even more. "You know, back where I come from raspberries are rather common. But no, you're not s'posed to give me fruit. It's... this"
She puts her lips on her forearm and blows a raspberry on it.
"Jeez, I need a beer..."

The groom's eyes widened a little more at the example, mouth opened slightly as he eased back, eyes closing.  I see...hmmm..".. He took a long drink from his beer, cracking his neck as he set the bottle down.  An almost eternally feeling moment of suspense passed as Krestov stood stock still, until he acted, the troll darting with surprising speed.

"Dare". His hand scooped up the much smaller human by the waist, hoisting her up like some kind of rag doll, spinning her in the air with one rotation and catching her face down.  Taking on breath, his face disappeared behind her as a loud, low snarling raspberry sounded out like some grand trumpet through the house!

Slobbertooth does a spit-take with a soykaf when Krestov blows the raspberry on bnc, bursting with laughter. "That was worth the mess I'll have to clean up." (Orz'et) Slobbertooth goes to grab a towel after he is able to stop laughing.

bnc shrieks as he took her up like a doll. "What the fuck do you think you're - aaaah!" She thrashes at his arms which only makes the sight slightly more comical. "You dick!"
She fights hardly - but not entirely successful - to hide the amusement in her voice.
After he lets her down, she breathes heavily and casts him a half-serious frown. "Jeez, I had it coming, though, had I not?" Still smirking she adds. "Now I really need a beer."

"Huh...well hmm...For Truth: What was your honest opinion of one of us?  I"ll be nice and let you pick.  And for Dare?"  He stepped up, head brushing against the ceiling as he gestured towards himself.  "Try to hit me.  And make me feel it, if you can."

Krestov stood perfectly still, awaiting the incoming attack, having forgotten that this particular one didn't tend to strike with normal attacks as he had intended to receive.  As the finger jabbed him, he felt a shock of sensation reverberate through his body, muscles tightening and locking up.  "nnh..."  Taking only one step back, he slowly righted himself, jaw set and taking in deep breaths to remain calm.  "Heh...well done..."

The troll paused, looking at him quizzically, not unlike a puppy with a tilted head.  His stomach growled after a moment of tentative silence, deciding his fate for him.  He gave a sigh, rubbing his brow.

"Well, it looks like I am going with Truth.  I'll start with you, Torrent.  I've never been sure what to think of you.  You speak as if every word is carefully planned in your head first, and that disarming grin further masks you.  However, skill on the job has been proven twice over to me, and I know to trust you with my back."

He turned to the tiny girl in the room, sighing.  "bnc.  Well, out of everyone here, it's obvious that I've known her the longest, seeing as I brought her on this team.  Her skill is beyond question, and I happen to find talks with her quite stimulating."

Finally, he turned to the ork.  "Slobbertooth...your skill is also good, and I can depend upon in a firefight.  I can admire your attitude and lack of concern for your image...after all, with a handle like that, one can only imagine a certain type of person, heh..."  Satisfied with his answer, he sat back, giving a nod.

Krestov gives a nod, picking up the bottle, tossing it in the air and catching it before giving it a twirl, seeing how the bottle (http://orokos.com/roll/240946): 1d4 2 will land....and seeing it point at Torrent.

Huh..reminds me of an old sport they used to play....Ping or Pang...not quite sure the name.  Okay, Torrent...  Truth: has there ever been a job you had to walk away from, without completion?   And for Dare..."

Krestov remained silent, his eyes fixed downward as he gave a simple, curt nod at all the opinions.  "...Da...of all the things we do...those choices are the hardest, aren't they..."

Reaching onto the table, he picked out a flower from a set in the centerpiece, holding it up to his nose almost poetically with a solemn look on his face.  "I...cannot deny I have done work like that.  I usually forget the next several days after out of guilt.  Heh...this was...enlightening..."  He picked up the bottle, quietly and slowly putting it down in front of Torrent.

Better not tell them what  happened to that politician. They're a decent bunch and Raven's ways aren't popular.

It was so easy for Torrent to slip back to that carefree persona he'd created since he was a street brat.

Smilingly she hands out the pizzas and the gyros. "Gluten-free. Dare fulfilled," she adds with a wink. "Now you know the real worth of a decker. Anyone who can't get you pizza is just an amateur.

bnc raises an eyebrow as she enters and puts the coke on the table, then shrugs. "You're asking what bnc means? That's an easy one: It stands for Bianca, which is my first name.
As you know, I didn't start as a runner. In fact, I never intended to be one, before Krestov showed up. It used to be my hacker alias back in Austria and I kinda kept it in the new biz.
Hope that answers the question?"

She takes the bottle and spins it again.

"Slobbertooth," she proclaims with a smirk.
"Now let's see. I don't intend to take it as easy on you as Torrent did on me.

Slobbertooth starts counting on his fingers for a bit, and then takes off his shoes. He pulls his foot up on his knee and started counting on his toes, his eyes looking up for answers. He nods to himself, and then looks back at the group with his trademark toothy grin. He raises a closed hand and says, "this many," raising only his index finger."

"She was 15 years old." He pauses at the reaction to her age, and then rolls his eyes. "Just like I was."

"Japanese-American."

Slobbertooth spins the bottle. Bottle: (http://orokos.com/roll/244856) 1d4 4.

Slobbertooth sees the bottle facing himself again, and decides to tease his questioner. "Well, it looks like it's me again. Truth, tell bnc where I'm going to hide her cyberdeck for an April Fools Day joke. Dare, I spin the bottle again. I think I'll go with dare."

Slobbertooth spins the bottle again. Bottle: (http://orokos.com/roll/244857) 1d4 2

bnc focusses on the lid of her beer can. "Sounds like a jolly good time." Her face and voice are difficult to read. She's not smiling or showing any other emotion.
"What happened then? It felt like your smile never reached your eyes." Only then does she look up and meet Torrent's eyes. They, too, are difficult to read. She might have shared your experience of totally losing control. Or not.

He reaches for the bottle

bnc breaks into a grin. "Of course I wouldn't sabotage the game. Did I use my impressive karate skills to prevent Krestov from raspberrying me, as of course I could have?" Another wink.
"And if Krestov turns on these manipulative Tailored Pheromones I might actually enjoy going out with someone six times my weight." As if to underline this statement, she pats his lap and flashes him a smile.
"That is, if he doesn't answer the simple yes or no question."

The troll remained silent through the exchange, a smile flitting on his otherwise stony features as they joke and jibe about him.  Slowly, he sat up straight in his seat as bnc patted his lap, sufficiently tempted to activate those same pheromones, if only to prove a point. He cleared his throat before he spoke.

"While it would be a good time, I would be scared that my Pheromones would make such an event end with a DocWagon trip.  So, I will go with truth.  Yes, since my departure from Academy, I have fallen in love.  It's...exhilerating and terrifying to feel, to be sure.

After a few moments of silence, Krestov finally snapped out of his reverie, heaving a little sigh as he remembered where he was.  "Oh, right.  Forgive me.."  Taking a bite of the massively portioned troll gyro, he spun the bottle (http://orokos.com/roll/247933): 1d4 1 , watching it squarely land on the beer-sipping bnc.  The troll allowed himself a small grin.

"Heh...well, this should be interesting....Truth: Name the most insane thing you have ever done in your life.  And Dare..."  He paused, thinking long and hard on it.  "...you will have to sit on Slobbertooth's lap during this meal you provided us, until he stops eating."  ....Probably not the most creative, but you gotta bless the troll for trying.
Title: Re: [IC] Truth or Dare
Post by: Volker on <01-20-15/0044:12>
bnc looks him straight into the face. "Jeez, omae, that's a real good question. Lemme think..."
And think she does.

"I guess running off with a random troll shadowrunner leaving behind everything I ever knew is definitely a candidate. But then, you all know this already, and don't wanna be the party pooper of my own party, do I?"
She again racks her mind, then her expression grows serious, as she nods to herself.

"I was seventeen. I was the most wiz codeslinger I knew, and I knew some codeslingers back then. But I lacked a proper sword. That is, that piece of gear that is as dear to any decker as a sword is to a samurai worth his name. I ran on Renate, as I called my deck. I called her Renate, because it wasn't even an Erika."
As she sees the confused expressions on some of the faces, she adds: "Erika MCD-1 is the name of one of the cheapest decks you get. A blunt Wakizashi, to stick to my metaphor. Renate was hardly worth being called a dagger.
Then came Dan. Dunno why, but many Austrians have a knack for English, French or Spanish names nowadays. He was the gang leader of the gang I was hanging out with at this time. He said, some fellas poked their noses a little too far into their territory. And one of them had a headware cyberdeck. Used to have, that is.
A real mucho grande wiz Novatech Navigator. A proper katana, amigos. But he named a price. A big price.
The fifty kay were not a problem. I mean, they were a problem but fifty grand for a Novatech was nothing.
Then there was the banging part. I was seventeen, remember.
The most insane thing was the Whoom story, though. Dan attempted to join the drug dealing business and attempted to mix that stuff himself. He had no real clue, though, so he needed someone to test it without word being spread and his reputation being ruined before he had a single customer. He wanted me to try his cheap self-brewn stuff."

She remains silent for a moment, then adds:

"I rose to the bait. I would have done anything for my dear Nova."

Krestov remained surprisingly silent during and for a few moments after this story, his expression hardening a bit.  He smirked a little, finally, shaking his head.  "Indeed.  Though I have a feeling stealing your deck as and April Fool's joke will be harder to do, knowing this information, eh Slobbertooth?  ...now I know why my bike would drive itself all the time."  He shrugged, trying intentionally to avoid bringing up the conditions of acquiring such a device.  Best to let that one go.

bnc nods. "I'm still not entirely sure this falls under the category insane. After all, it would have been outragiously stupid not to do anything for this amazing pair of wings.

And yeah, I would appreciate if you would not remove my deck from its current location..."

The young decker takes the bottle and puts it on the table. "Okay, let's get going, boys"
Then she spins it (http://orokos.com/roll/248416):  3

"Oh, look now"
She smirks.

Krestov blinked, giving a little sigh and a smirk.  "Speak in rhymes, I do have trouble.  So I must hate to bursting bubble"  He gave a pause, glancing to the others before responding.  "That is not easy question...the person I fearing most has to be myself.  What I do, what I may do wrong.  I have to live with all mistakes made, and cannot change them.  Simple"

He gave a smirk, nodding his head slowly as he took a bite of his gyro.  "Aye...that I do, and at the moment, I call them friends."  He shot each of them a look, ensuring his jest was meant as such before giving a sigh.  "That is best answer I can give.  My past left behind, no enemies for me to know of."  And with that, he picked up the bottle, stretching an arm before giving it a spin (http://orokos.com/roll/253051): 1d4 2, watching it land on Torrent.

"Hmm...this game getting difficult to think of question.  Truth.  What would it take for you to leave shadows..retire, is that word?  And Dare...dance with bnc.  Classic style.  I'm sure can be done"

Torrent moves to stand in front of bnc. With a formal bow he extends his hand , his  palm open. There's not a  hint of sarcasm in his voice:

"My lady!May I have this dance?"

He takes her hand and leads her to the center of the room.

"Well, this is like waltz, but it makes you feel alive. So eventhough it's not classic style, I hope the audience will find it enjoyable."

bnc almost spits out her beer, bursting with laughter.
"Just - no way! I never..."

Quote
"My lady!May I have this dance?"
She falls silent for a second, almost blushing.

"Self-monitor, shut your fucking mouth. I don't even wanna know why the hell I'm schmähstaad!"
Self-monitor: "Honestly, bnc, this time I can't help you anyway. Back in Austria or basically any Western country that is not America this amount of twisting bottle necks, alcohol and time would have led to far, far, far, far, far, far worse than an innocent dance. And you never hesitated before. Guess he caught you off-guard."
bnc: "Shut up"

"Gladly, Sir."
She gets up and follows Torrent. Longing for some Whoom to relax a bit but knowing that it wouldn't work quickly enough she focusses on being drunk at least, then gives her best to let her lead through the room:

Gymnastics 1d6.hits(5)=1 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4791210/)
Performance 1d6.hits(5)=0 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4791212/)

Well, her best obviously isn't terribly good but you can tell she at least tried. She has difficulties to let herself go, to react properly to him leading her, and though he's an amazing dancer it looks somehow awkward.

When the song is finished, bnc makes up for what she missed and attaches a Whoom patch on the back of her neck. Smiling when the drug takes effect she says:
"Boys, are you familiar with the rules of Never Have I Ever?"
