SO, the long-awaited first glimpse at the new Fantastic Four movie is now live:

I swear, I honestly though this was a fan-film attempt but it's apparently the real thing.
After all the stories about this film I so hoped that the trailer would at least make me somewhat excited by for the movie, but unfortunately I'm still not feeling it.

It's a reboot. After only 2 films, I find that a bit fast.

Hulk did it after 1 :P
Was wondering how they were planning to do further F4 movies seeing as they stole Chris Evans for Capt. America.
Though if they did keep him and had a crossover F4/ CA movie that would have been funny. :)

the original Fantastic Four movies were not well received :(
And, like Sendaz says, With Evans as the Captain America now, they have to recast the movie... and hopefully do a better job of it.

This is going to bomb pretty hard...

It looks to be based on the Ultimates story line which is a much better creation story and a better explanation of their powers, including Doom.
They cant reasly do worse than Alba and Chiklis

I'm not going to say the 1st 2 were great films. But they were so-so. I had more issues w/ the writing than the acting. Some of the scenes were just bad. Not sure any amount of acting could have improved them much.
After seeing the faces in the trailer I can't say that unrecognizable kids is an improvement over some pretty established actors.

I think the biggest problem for the original 2 movies was the PG rating.... trying to market it was a kid friendly movie really limited their scripts, dialogue and action to the point that... well... it made the movies worse then if they stuck to the PG13 rating of other marvel movies...
