Title: Another Dice KS: Halfsies
Post by: AJCarrington on <02-27-15/1229:46>
Halfsies Dice (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/johnwrot/halfsies-dice?ref=nav_search)

Some really nice color schemes, but seems to be limited to 7-dice sets. I have asked if there might be an option for bricks of D6 dice...will post when I hear back.

Too bright and gaudy for my tastes.

AKO Dice (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1429341405/ako-dice) have successfully funded but have 3 days left to buy in. great looks and reasonable prices. Lots of colors to chose form at this point as well.

Confirmed that they will NOT be doing bricks for this campaign, though should interest remain high, they may do a separate KS. :-\

yeah they seem too bright. They would distract me. I'm still tempted to buy the ako dice for initiative and then add on zen dice for dice pools. Waiting to see how finances shake out to see if i have 50 bucks to spend on new dice when i already have about 100d6 to begin with.

I'm slightly confused by these, mainly because Chessex did dice like these ages ago.  And they were kinda fugly then, and time hasn't improved the concept any.

I mean, if you're gonna Kickstart a dice set, at least do something new and interesting?

I'm looking forward to my Drinking Dice (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bigfootses/drinking-dice-make-any-game-a-drinking-game) myself.  With 6 sides plus two "drink" sides on the D8, I think they'll be perfect for that late night Convention game of Shadowrun ;)
