Title: AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER
Post by: farothel on <03-12-15/1320:05>
Earlier today, one of the greatest writers has sadly passed away.

As someone who has seen him life on various cons, I can say he will be missed not only for his writing, but also for the way he was at cons and such (always having time for his fans, especially at the bar).

Man, it sucks to keep getting older.  I remember digging into his stuff back in high school.  His writing will preserve him, even if his body could not.

Damn, those tweets are both epically awesome and epically sad. Kudos to the family for that, I really think that was a fitting way to announce it.

It's probably Rob, his PA, who did that.

After Leonard Nimoy this is the second of my youth idols who passes away.  :(  :'(

Sad days.  Another of my favorite authors rides into the sunset.

That said, I feel that Sir Terry's Motto is relevant on this sad day:
Noli Timere Messorum
"Don't fear the reaper."

Am I the only one contemplating an Awakened Orangutan talismonger?

Man...  Not going to lie, it hurt to find out he'd passed on.  I haven't read too many of his novels, but I knew people who learned a lot of how they view life from those books.  They are so imaginative and creative and really very insightful.  Someone I know shared this with me, and even for those who wouldn't ever go to 4chan, I think this image is worth seeing:
