As i get to the place i would like use my knowledge skill to identifie any obvious sign of which gang or syndicate operates in the area and then adjust my garb to be respectful of the group. whether that be to wear there colors symbols or to do nothing at all.

Keep in mind that tImproved Reflexes cannot be combined with any other technological or magical increases to initiative.  If Increase Reflexes is cast on Terrane, he'll get the higher of either the Spell or his Level 1 Improved Reflexes.

That would be Terrane and I then. He's close combat, and I'm heavy weapons. I'm not sure, but i don't think either of us has wired reflexes. Terran might, but I don't think so being an adept. Angus spent all his money on weapons and armor so no augments yet, and he's not magical. So no cross overs there.

Angus wouldn't know weather it was a solo gig or not, plus our people wouldn't have any idea who they were meeting up with. You could i suppose mill about the front and look conspicuous and search for others doing the same, or hide and do that. Angus really would just go in and wait for the contact and catch up on the meal he missed.

Place Holder ( pardon I thought I'd posted here earlier)

"Diesen Stadt ist kotzlangweilig sein."  Gespenst thought to himself staring out the tiny  porthole that constituted the his view of the city. It revealed the flashing arrows that combined to make an advert for cider that blocked his view of anything more interesting. He looked back into the cramped confines of the coffin hotel and took inventory.

One: Ares Predator V with 3 reloads of APS.
Two: Up-armored Leather Storm coat with matching hat and sunglasses. Sure it's expensive, but synth leather was so stiff to the touch.
Three: One Flash-bang grenade. He felt it's slight weight in his hands and decided it was likely a good idea to have a less than lethal option available.
Four (and most importantly): The battered green and blue Renraku Tsurugi that followed him through 3 countries and over an ocean to his new home in the UCAS. It's fan whirred to life as he booted it up and jacked in to it. His cyber eyes projected the various login notices and diagnostics.
"Jetzt ist der richtige Moment zu die Stadt unsicher machen."  Time to paint the town red. He thought as he chambered a round into his Predator, pulled himself out of the hatch, and walked down to pick up a pack of cigarellos and a lighter.

Made more sense from an RP standpoint or a mechanical standpoint?  If you feel that a berserker rage fits him more than 'sticking to a plan', then you have full support!  But, don't let the peanut gallery (http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=20775.0) push your concept around in the name of eking out a couple more dice or maximizing optimization.  Play-by-post's strongest benefit is the depth of role-play you can get out of it's narrative focus!

Most larger groups move their product through the docks, while gangs move their product through the overland routes. You know a place in the sprawl where their might be a shipment later tonight, probably through the Caravan. Your out of the loop on the Families drug operations, they might be moving something, may be wise to check. The triads have been moving a lot of product lately, they might be looking to resupply. The Yakuza have been more conservative, unlikely they'd risk two deal in one night.

I was just looked back and it seem Gespenst has a Gopher which can seat 3 so really, however Calico wishes to go is up to her.

Between the 'Player Guide' and the 'Calendar' wiki posts in the StS Obsidian Portal, you should be able to suss out how much Karma you'll be getting.

The actual runs will net Karma at a rate of 3-6.  As this is an extended campaign, I figure that should be a reasonable amount of karma to get realistic advancement.

The fennec goes to the water raised edge of the pier, sticking out over the edge a little. There's one gate in the center, big enough for three cars at once. The fence is about 10 meters from the buildings which are about fifteen meters apart. About twenty meters in either direction are identical complexes, while across the street are wharehouse sets very simaler.

Terran got 17 for initiative mentioned in OOC post #65. Angus has rolled 10 base as mentioned in OOC post #70 with the stipend that in addition to that there is possibly a bonus from calicos spell in IC post #80 which she wishes you to roll.

So currently we have initiatives at:
Terran  17
Callico  11
Angus  10+spell?

The other member are AWOL so its up to you I believe to decide their fate.

Calico isn't surprised and quickly notes that both of the guards seem to have picked up on the 'something is happening and she's involved'

In other words, one guy beat your seduction role, called for help and his comm getting bricked tipped them both off to an attack.

Div whips a stun spell at the second guy who takes it hard.

Tarace hits the second head down and lands a grazing blow (1 net hit) for a solid bit of hurt, knocking him out but not killing him.

@calico I think he already mentioned that the were few cameras post 100 in IC thread "Your Decker comes out of VR and informs you that the area is light on recording equipment, the only cameras being external and routing to a terminal inside."

Just an FYI I will be down till Sunday. It is my Batcholor party :) nerd games and drinking. But you shouldn't wait on me. I'll enter probably through the door or if its open the loading ramp. Angus would use a Neuro-Stun VIII gas grenade on the highest concentration of enemies not close to teammates first. I could use a frag or HE grenade if you guys prefer, i was just thinking or noise control. But the clip should be switched before we engage. I would use my gun to attack two individuals by splitting the attack and using an edge to re-roll misses, trying to spread the dmg. dont know if that sounds like a good stratagie but its what i thought would work. feel free to suggest a different route. The pertinent info is below. Other wise i shall return.
Initiative 8 +1d6 and calicos boost which is apparently +20 maybe its variable i don't know how your spell works.

Also, all you guys should roll Surprise as well, that's reaction+intuition, looking for three hits or you lose your first turn.

Three hits and up means your not surprised.

Combat sense is a bonus on dodge and allows a perception to see if you get a surprise check, it doesn't actually add to your surprise check, Danger Sense does. Unless they Erreta'd the two together, I might have an older book.

Well caught, Calico is not surprised and running six hits on that Combat Sense. However, you are now sustaining 4 spells at once, so you'll be at minus 8 for any action you take during your turn. I believe dropping a spell is a simple action, but don't quote me on that.

:) ..... I actually have 5 going, but should be only -3. Allow me to break it down:

Psyche* makes it -1 per sustained spell
Combat sense (focused concentration, -0)
Increased reflexes on Angus, sustaining focus. -0
Armor -1
Sound barrier -1
Phantasm -1

Everything I can find on the internet says dropping a spell is a free action, but I can't find it in the rulebook. So I'll defer to your judgment on that one.

*Psyche also gives +1 int, which means my total dodge/surprise dice is 18 at the moment (5+1 int, 5 rea, combat sense 7 (6 spell, 1 adept)). Just so you have that number handy.

Thanks for the breakdown, I'm not used to playing magic characters. Bright side, I'm learning a lot.

So Angus charges forward and hit the guard for two net hits since he's surprised and gets no defense roll. 

Ouch, details in IC thread but he's prone, maybe dead.

Alas, the force 1 sound barrier isn't enough to keep the noise down, everyone hears the gunshots.

A guy does a thing.

Following up, Tarrane rushes forward and finishes the job.

Gespenst swears in german and starts trying to hack the other boat.

One guard down, four still inside. Two of them find cover and whip up their new weapons to fire busts at Tarrane.

Roll to dodge two bursts, so minus two each, and the second minus three.

The second boat was well within earshot and is making it's approach to the building when shots were fired, its mostly a matter of darkness that requires observe in detail. You can change your illusion or move it out behind the other boat.

I'll describe my plan and you can write up what actually happens.
I would like to shoot at the cabin with a grenade launcher ranges 5-50, 50-100, 100-150, 150-500
What i like to do is move to the door, (hopefully i can see around the others if not i would try to move through the door and find a somewhat defensive location running if necessary) I would then take aim at the boat cabin area ( takeing advantage of my image magnification, smart gun, and thermographic vision), fire my grenade launcher at said cabin(gas grenade of nerostun VIII).

Failing that I would look for the highest concentration of enemies. if they are all far apart I'll aim and shoot at one (they should all still be surprise right? or is that just the first initiative pass?) if there is a group of 3 or more in say a ten meter radius of one another ( hopefully a radius that does not include us) I would fire a gas grenade so as to get the most enemies without hitting us... sorry tarren i could not if you so ask it of me and we could just take the punches.

Since i don't know all the mods that would be in place I ask that you roll for me.They are as follows.

grenade launcher, nerostun VIII 11d6 radius of effect 10m                 inhalant/contact toxin pwr 15, effect disorientation, and stun dmg
Possible modifiers range, image magnification, thermographc vision, running, taking aim. I don't know if smart gun would work for it as it is an under-barrel attachment.
If i would fail the test i would use edge to re-roll misses

Normal gun fire
14d6, -5 def, -7 arm
possible mods, running, smart gun, taking aim, concealment
as long as i take aim that counts as a simple action and resets recoil right?

I think that cover's it if i missed anything please tell me other wise i look forward to the results.

So I rolled your perception with modifiers from distance, fog and darkness, the last one mitigated by thermographic. You got two hits, which is enough to see the boat but not enough to pick out anything specific on it. You can try to blind-fire at something specific you suspect to be there based on the other boat in front of you, but that will be at a penalty.

All of the Guards are now alert. They Jump the their feet and take cover near the first boat, out of the way of the second headed into the second docking bay. All open fire.

Angus, dodge three attacks at a minus one each, the first two are minus two for short burst, the last one is minus five for a long burst.

Anyone in the doorway is now suppressed. Either use a free action or 5 init to go prone or try to dodge the attacks

Right now Calico and Tarrane are in cover by the door being suppressed, Div is outside ready to jump in next turn, Gespenst is moving up, Angus is about two meters inside, prone and in partial cover. Three Troll Illusions are marching through carrying crates and drawing some fire from the Gangsters.

The five Gangsters are in cover four meters from the door to the right. Theirs a pane of glass cutting off an office behind them from view, which is where you suspect the mage is hiding.

Alright, I am not exactly sure where everybody is at, I tried to familiarize myself with the situation.

So we're going to start a new initiative round... probably not the best thing to do, but it gets me on track.  If you had any actions left this round, add 10 to your initiative (but not 20 or 30) as a compromise to account for them.

The way we're going to work this:

In the OOC, give me the run down of what you are doing, the crunch, etc.  Give me the rooks dice roll link (or remind me to roll for you.

If you're actions are predicated by what someone ahead of you is doing, feel free to add in 'if-then-else' statements (if you don't know what that means, ask!).

When I get on, I'll adjudicate in the OOC what happens.  As your actions get adjudicated in the OOC, I want you to make an IC post with a narrative of your action, feel free to narrate other responses if it makes sense (i.e., if you shot someone and I say it knocked them down, feel free to describe where the bullets hit, how they fell, etc).

The ICs posts should sort of wait till the OOCs get adjudicated, but if we get to waiting on someone, I will happily post for them so the next person can post.  On enemy turns I will make posts.

Angus stands up moves so he is under the window so if there is a wizard inside he cant see me. This also should move me hopefully out of the range of the foreboding spell. I assume the wizard would try not to effect his comrades. Hopefully that can be done in under 10 meters. Then Angus will fire at one of the individuals still standing. the one that was suppressing fire died. I don't know what happened to the last one I fired at hopefully i hit but probably not. Ill fire at one of the other guys that should now have no cover as i think i'm behind them.

I don't tell you if it's necessary.  Edge is used before knowing the results.  It's pretty beefy spirit, do you want to use a point of edge to reroll your misses?  You can also reroll the misses for your defense test to try to dodge it outright.

If you do get hit, then your Soak, counting off the last dice, you got 3 successes, so you have 11 that did not 'Hit'.  Using a point of Edge will reroll this 11 Dice.

I had annotated that you needed to roll 11 dice.  I didn't necessarily explain 'why', mostly to remove certain metaknowledge from your decision.  That said, glad yo rolled more dice, so I could count those... because it's actually 13.  And it's because of Armor Piercing.  so 6 hits, plus the four from before is ten hits total.

We'd want to just heal stun then physical, then after my turn I'll quickly make the rounds with force 6 heals for everyone who needs it, 17 dice -1 for sustained spells, hopefully not another -1 for my physical damage.

Sorry for the starts and stops and the changeover of GM.  For those of you who want to free-Roleplay in the IC thread,please do so.  Looks like Terrane and Gespenst are out, so don't include them, but if Angus, Calico, and Div want to go get a beer or whatever and build up any sort of IC depth, feel free.  When you guys are doe, I will roll up any RP and grant one or two additional points of Karma.

This run covers the first months of the campaign's PbP run.  You also get a 'Milk Run' that you will earn 5 Karma for, which you can exchange to Nuyen at a 1 for 2000¥ rate (so 5 Karma 0¥, 4 Karma 2000¥, 3 Karma 4000¥, etc).  If you write up the details of that milk run, you can earn up to 3 additional Karma (that should be posted on the Obsidian Portal (https://shaking-the-shadows.obsidianportal.com/adventure-log).

You will also have 14 days for personally finding gear, training skills or attributes, or 'Working for the Man' or 'Working of the People'.  The last two take up 7 days and allow you to exchange Karma to Nuyen or vice versa at the same rateI just posted.

If you have any questions, ask them here.  I'll get in touch with you guys when we're bout to start on month two, expect it to be in a few weeks.

Also, for Divilian and Angus, there is still time to write a short fiction worth up to 3 Karma points for Month 1.  That opportunity will close 1 week prior to starting Month 2.

For Calico:  2 days to find the Formulas you are looking for, 5 days to learn 2 spells, give you 7 days towards your 28 days to Initiate.

Spell Formulas cost you 3000 Nuyen.  I rolled to see if Hank knew either spell, sadly he does not.  However, Hank lets you use his Magic Lodge (Loyalty 6) so you on't have to find and purchase one of those.

For Agleaca/Angus:  What are you wanting to improve in your two weeks of downtime?

Schenn, are you going to spend any karma/money in your two weeks of downtime?  Or perhaps a work for the man/people?

No time for me I'm afraid, one week milk run, plus working for the man, and then of coarse the obligatory mob work equals taped out on time. I will however top of on the ammo i spent, and by three extra clips for Lilith and some gel rounds to fill it. In case the group wishes a non bloody ending. Ill work out the price on that. Mostly working to get the chrome i want latter.

I probably just do more mob work when working for the man and the milk run just not for free. You know the type full time mob employee.
oh and i will exchange all the karma gained in the milk run for monies

Unfortunately, I don't have a place for Terrane, I have planned the stories out and have 6 runners in each one, 7 would be too many.

That doesn't mean Terrane is out, he just isn't taking part in any of the list runs this month.  Feel free to participate on the Portal in the forums with IC posts... and keep an eye out for Month 3.

As for your expenditures, you are welcome to the same opportunities as the others.

That is to say you get a milk run for 5 Karma that you can exchange for nuyen at a 1 to 2000 rate.  You can write up a story for the Milk Run for up to an additional 3 Karma (cannot transfer into Nuyen).

You can then take two week for whatever Terrane wants, such as bonding foci or training skills.

One of those weeks, you can 'Work for the Man' or 'Work for the People' and change either Karma to Nuyen or Nuyen to Karma at the same rate above, up to 5 points (this takes a week of time).

For month two you will be able to do this again, except you will have three weeks for whatever Terrane wants (still only one week can be working for the man/people).

This will allow your character to continue to advance somewhat through month 2 and then you can join us for month 3.

I spent 8 karma on improving my negotiation. I guess if I can't upgrade my lifestyle, than I'll need to get a rtg 3 fake sin instead through my fixer contact. Nevyn Salamander is the name for the SIN.
