Title: Spotting icons running silent; doubt

 8)  What up chummers,

It says on the Matrix Perception table that if I know at least one feature of the icon, I can spot it with a hit from the MP test.
By 'feature' they mean only matrix features?

Example, a guy is in front of me, I see his gun in meat space but not in the matrix, do I need to make 2 rolls just to spot the gun's icon?

According to Xenon in my Why is the Matrix Slow thread, Once you see the gun in meat space, you only have to make a single opposed perception check, without having to check each silent icon within 100m of you.
