A while ago someone on this forum commented on my low age (20) and hinted that most tabletop gamers are much older than that. My entire group consists of 19-20 year olds, as well as most gamers I know. So I'm a bit curious, how old are you guys? How old are your fellow gamers? ^^
-
To a Peach I am Ancient, but to the Mountain I am barely a youth.
But for a Man, I am just right. :P
Also: Woodstock
-
My group ranges in age from 28-46.
-
My groups are in there 30s to 50s.
I myself turn 41 this year.
-
Early 20s to mid/late 40s.
-
My friends and fellow gamers age with me, so around 30 +/-5 years
-
I'm 45 and the eldest of the group. We meet over Skype and I'm also the only one not in the USA
-
I'm 35 and in my group we're all around the same age. I did join up with another group where people were younger, but that game stopped unfortunately. But I started out when I was 18 (at university) and I guess quite a lot of the 'old' guys on the forum here started out when they were a lot younger. So don't worry about it, you will get to our age at one point.
But always remember, birthdays is good. Studies have shown that people with the most birthdays live the longest. :)

My companions are 25-32. I have crossed the half century mark.
-
I'm in my mid-forties and think I might have just found a group here in Boston (actually, they found me ;)).
-
My group consists of people in their late 20's. I'm the oldest at 37.
-
My local games have me playing with anyone from 16 to their mid-50s. The majority are in their 30s, which I'm below by a bit.
-
I guess my group's at the lower end on ages. I'm just shy of 22, and the oldest in my group. We have players ranging all the way down to 16, and even he's been with us for over a year.
-
We range from low 30s to low 40s. Act like 12 year old sometimes though but that might be the Japanese heat
-
The Players at my Tables (Plural I have a Pool of ca 12-15 Players , some play in only one Round, some in 4 or even 5 different ones) are between 22 and 45 Years old (IIRC, we don't care so much about the Age)
HokaHey

I am 38 and the youngest in one group as well as the oldest in another
-
I'm 27(28 tomorrow) and the GM of my current group. My players are all between 22-30 I think (I'm horrible with remembering ages).
Got introduced to the game and world when I was about 20ish, but didn't get to seriously start playing until about 2-3 years ago.
-
youngest is 14 oldest is 35 out of 2 different groups
-
45 here. I guess people here will be reasonably old, given how many people seemed to start on early versions of Shadowrun from that poll!

Agreed! Sorry for being late though!

With 24 the youngest.
Others are ... lemme think ... I believe 28, 35, 40 and one somewhere between the last two.
When playing you don't really see big differences between the ages of the players. The only difference I see is how long the Players plays RPG's.
However, when it comes to "Off-Topic"-Talk such as other hobbies, movies, music or ... personal stories about the French revolution ... there definitely exists somewhat of a gap between me and the oldest. x) (just for completion *sarcasm*)

Ahh the French Revolution.... those were the days!
Pastry for breakfast, beheadings for lunch. Whine for dinner....

I'm 40 and the youngest guy at my table. The top end is mid-60s.

For Shadowrun, I'm often one of the older people at the table if not the oldest. There were definitely some older folks playing at Origins this year.
My regular Missions games at my FLGS currently run from 18 (just turned) to 51 (me, or will be tomorrow). Other RPG groups at the store those nights (it's a big store, frequently 50+ people on RPG nights) range from high school age to septugenarians. Most of the groups are clustered more closely, but not all.
-
28 to late 30's in my Shadowrun group.
28 to 53 in my dnd group. True grognard style, we still play 2nd Ed ;D

Don't know if I should hug you, or laugh at you....
2e DnD was my first love in RPGs, so many fond memories... but the edition had its issues.
-
Played 1st edition Shadowrun wile still in highschool. Do the math. I am a broken down old bastard.
-
I'm 38 with a group between 32 and 41.
Without any numbers to back this up I'd say SR probably has an older group of players since many of us have been playing since early editions while younger players often pick up the "new" games. At least it feels like RPGs are having a renaissance with influx of new players playing games I've never heard of.
-
My group is around 25-35
-
Well I'm 26.
The rest of my infrequent group are 26, 25, and 24.
-
My FLGS Missions groups run 15-50. I'm in the 'First Edition in High School' demographic, but a group of my players recently had a discussion and guessed that I'm about 10 years younger than that places me, though. I have yet to correct them ;)
