Title: commanding voice(s)
Post by: welldressedgent on <07-25-15/1928:19>

Didn't one of these get renamed? Which do you consider the superior choice?

I'm thinking:
1. SG version is cheaper and grants a bonus.
2. SS version permits leadership alone to fill the role of leadership and intimidation both.

The SG version was changed to the name "Authoritative Tone."

The SS version is a great active power that is definitely benefited by the SG power. The problem with the SS version is just how easily it can be spammed, imo. It can be a powerful one-trick pony.

Really you can be a face without ware OR PP, so I consider stuff like the SG version and Cool Resolve to be good, but can also be overkill.

That said, Leadership is an okay skill by itself. Commanding Voice makes it a strong pick, but it's another skill investment at the end of the day. Leadership is a good skill if you have nothing better to spend your actions on (which isn't always the case and imo shouldn't be the big case).

Whiskey's right, take 'em both.

Commanding Voice is pretty awesome if you optimize around it.
My toon is rolling @14 dice.
18 dice once he gets the Presence Metamagic.
