Title: Chicago Elections
Post by: Lighthouse on <10-08-15/1557:54>
Chaos War Spoilers!!!!!!!

I am doing a political run where the runners are "insuring there is no foul play" in a Chicago mayoral election. I was thinking that the elections will be tabulated in South Milwaukee by inputting data chips sent by courier to an offline hardwired commlink. The team would upload a program that "insures there is no tampering with the votes." What do you think? What kind of security would they have? What kind of complications would arise? Twists? Etc?

No Tampering?

No Foul Play?!?

But that goes against over a 170 years of Chicago Voting Traditions (http://www.bandersnatch.com/chicago2.htm)!!! ;)

Hmm... what happens when a Shedim who has animated a deceased Chicago citizen turns up for voting? Especially if its a recently deceased and the SIN has not been marked as deceased yet.....

Imagine the runners might even run into some bug campaigners trying to get sympathetic (or infested) candidates into office.  The honourable Judith Hemsley running for mayor sure does drink a lot of (heavily) sweetened tea.  Could be suspicious.

I was being facetious about the program they are going to insert. It will ensure the candidate the Johnson wants to win wins.

Well that's better.  ;D

Course the runners might someone else already has a program running doing exactly that for the other guy, so should be fun.....

... South Milwaukee??  In another state?  Try Waukegan.  Or - more likely, here - Springfield.  You go to the state capital, not to another state ...

Good Idea. This is why I posted this.
