Title: Summoning circles
Post by: SmilinIrish on <12-01-15/1642:19>
I've seen references to summoning circles that suggest there is something that gives you a bonus to summoning/binding, but I can't find it anywhere in the rules.

All I can find is that a hermetics lodge is likely to contain one as part of "lodge materials", and the suggestion that having a special workplace as part of your lifestyle (summoning circle) gives you plus two to your limit summoning.  Is there something I've missed?

Teamwork checks to summoning gives you extra successes. A team of mages can also be called a circle  ;)

And that may be what they were referring to.  That makes sense.

It may also be slang for the preparations one must make in order to bind or invoke a spirit, as well. You know, like how everyone says 'clips' instead of 'box magazines'.

So its now a clip of mages instead of a coven of mages?

Mage Mags does sound better though. :P

What utter nonsense - Everyone knows you get mages delivered in drums and cylinders. That's where the circle comes from after all ;)
