Title: What does Trog Rock (and other 6th world music styles) sound like?
Post by: Finstersang on <12-07-15/1853:55>
Question for all:

What does Trog Rock (and other musical styles in the 6th world) sound like in your heads?

The way itīs advertised, with big names like CrimeTime and the Orxploitation movement obviously being a revenant of Blaxploitation, just screams "Gangsta-Rap" to me. But also, Trog Rock definitely got some "rocky" or even "metal" tunes to it. So I always imagine it a lot like Ice-Tīs "Body Count" and other 90īs Rap-Metal-Punk Crossover Projects. When featuring Orxploitation Fans in a campaign, I often use Body Count songs as background tunes. I mean, just replace the Klan in "KKK bitch" with Humanis, and voila, that sounds just like something CrimeTime would write to piss off some bigots - especially since heīs actually with the (grand-)daughter of the Humanis Policlub leader :P

Your calls? And what about other musical subgenres of the 6th world?

I suspect that bands doing covers of Manowar, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, and other such groups do a roaring business.

Trog Rock.

Picture Rammstein's hardest song, turn that up to 11, and replace the drum set with live shotguns, gatling guns, and assault cannons.

I'd say that's close enough on it's own.
