In fifth edition they have the unusual hair quality.
Why?
It's unusual because ...
it's not unusually thick or purple, so what gives?

I thought it covered their body like a chimpanzee.

METAVARIANT TYPE:
KOBOROKURU
Physical Characteristics: The koborokuru variant of the
H. sapiens pumilionis subspecies maintains the standard
thermographic vision, decreased height, slightly pointed
aural helix, extended life span, and increased toxin
resistance of dwarfs. Where this subspecies varies is in
eye shape, body hair, and musculature. The eyes are
almond shaped, similar to other Western racial demographics.
The body hair and facial hair of this subspecies
are less abundant than the primary species, therefore
decreasing the frequency of beards. The average
koborokuru’s muscle density and bulk is also lower than
that of their primary species, and their overall muscle
tone and metabolic rate are higher...RF, pertinent sentence in red(by me for emphasis).
I think it's someone changing the description of the Koborokuru and forgetting to tell the guy who stated it out.

Wasn't there a subspecies with the body hair? Which one am I thinkin of? The bald dwarf just seems like a chemo patient. Maybe I'll try Google fu.
Edit: harumen from India

From 4th Edition Runner's Companion:
Koborokuru are the prevalent dwarf species on the Japanese Isles (>85%), and they stand slightly shorter than common dwarfs and possess extensive body hair.
This Japanese dwarf metavariant is about the same height as the basic metatype and shares most of its metatraits, but possesses profuse body hair and a dexterity uncommon in its sister species. <znip>
Abilities: Celerity, Resistance to Pathogens/Toxins (2), Thermographic Vision, Unusual Hair
Seems like they changed the description in SR5; this was either intentional and they forgot to update the qualities, or it was unintentional and the description wasn't updated.

That sounds like names got mixed up or something.
