Title: Integrated gear. . .
Post by: Danieru1 on <03-01-16/0504:58>
I see where almost anything can be integrated into almost everything else.  I'm having trouble explaining how items can be integrated into clothing.  For example, how can an Autopick be integrated into a suit?  Or a tool kit?  Electronics I can understand as we have that today, but how does one integrate a survival kit or med kit?  Are things mainly mechanical in nature just put into a pockets?

Think James Bond gadgets: A thermo blanket in your belt buckle, water purification tablets in your sleeves, nutri-bars hidden in your shoe soles...

But, yes: Pockets and specifically adapted tools to fit in them without being obtrusive should be the main thing.

Or integrated into sleeves/bracers; flip out the autopicker from wherever it is hidden on your wrist, insert, ding!  Otherwise yeah, it's just the storage for the kit is built into whatever you're integrating with, like Jack said.

integrated into a dry suit
Sounds hot. I prefer softweave formfit body armour & a cyber biomonitor.
