How would the Ruthnium Polymer cloak work with the Chameleon suit? Does it stack or is it a one or the other use?

Outmost layer only.
Your high quality C-Suit does nothing for you if you carry a crappy RP Cloak over it, that can be seen above the camouflage.

Just get the polymers added to the Chameleon Suit.

I always found it odd that the Chameleon Suit mechanics work differently from the ruthenium polymer armor upgrade they added in Run & Gun. The Chameleon Suit uses Ruthenium Polymer as the method that it cloaks you with, so you really shouldn't be able to stack them, they do the same thing!

If you believe a chameleon suit's ruthenium polymers shouldn't be upgradeable, do you also believe RPC should only have 1 rating?

Ok, so what rating is the Ruthenium on the Chameleon Suit? Does it not count as a rating? Does adding a new layer replace the effects of the base suit?
I was pointing out that the mechanics were changed, not that I think the either of the two mechanics are wrong. Just that they don't seem compatible.

If you can install any RPC mod of rating 1 through 4 on a chameleon suit, then it stands to reason that a chameleon suit is not any of those ratings. No?
The default chameleon suit doesn't have particularly good ruthenium polymers, but it does make the wearer quieter and break up their profile somewhat, as shown by the limit bonus and wireless bonus. (ugh for the back-pedalling on this with later gear - we needed more ways to hide wireless gear or clear word that modifications would subsume into their parent icon, not jokes about curious hackers ...)

The Chameleon Suit is most probably RPC [2] as it gives you +2DP to sneaking.
If you try an upgrade it you'd have to play 15 or 20k for level 3 or 4.
Why bother when the Sleeping Tiger is 12500 and has RPC 3 in addition to other features.
