In an attempt to make an adept or two whose primary stat isn’t agility, I’ve come up with Saffie here…a cat changeling (using RAW surge III despite the fact that I don’t particularly like the way it works in SR5). She also has race A which is a priority choice I’ve not used before…
She’s a little ‘one dimensional’ as a runner, but she’s small and very fast and so might make an interesting addition to a team. Is there anything that could be done to improve her (without a complete re-write)? I tried a base troll build but the extra strength didn’t seem to compensate for a reduction in agility…thoughts?!?
Melanin control is there so she can change fur colour…possibly a little niche but I like the idea!

but why make a cat changeling and then skip on agility?
In general I think Surge is over priced.
The Balance Receptor is totally outweighed if you instead had an additional point of AGI
Likewise, Functional Tail (Balance) is quite expensive for what it does.
Celerity is the only power that is really worth its Karma but this also benefits a lot more from high AGI due to the multiplier.
My suggestion would be a Wakyambi as your base and add Prototype Transhuman. There you can get the fur, claws and tail. Add some bone density to improve the claw damage without needing so much strength. (Those mods are also quite cheap)
Also this way you can get a mentor spirit to improve your unarmed combat (Refluff Shark to Tiger)

A reworking based on my original idea of using 'troll' as the base race... see what you think?!? Shifted the Surge qualities a little to get Metagenic Agility and dropped the balance 'powers' ...and I like the idea of a neoteny troll! ::)

Is claws listed after unarmed your specialty?
If so, technically it should be natural weapons (just in case you get bioware teeth later).
Personally I'd switch to automatics and specialize in machine pistols- just as concealable as heavy pistols and going 6 Burst FA would help since your DP is middling. Of course, you could stay with pistols and get the Guardian.
I'd put the SG in Athletics, and use the 10 skill points you used in gymnastics/running to shore up Con, Perception, and Sneaking.
It works as is however- the above is just my preference. YMMV

The pistols/automatics debate goes on...it's meant to be an emergency backup (can you call a Pred V that?) rather than something that get's used much, and I prefer silenced weapons for that.
The Acting skill group is thematic rather than purposeful, she works for a circus after all! Will try and get a background writeup done and post her in my Adept Archive with a pic :)
