Are there stats/skills people use for gun canes in melee?

Are they just a club?

Do you use club weapons, exotic weapons (gun cane) same as firing it, or a different exotic melee?

I'd use Clubs, and I'd also suggest getting Melee Hardening if you plan on using it that way.

When used to bonk heads, its basically a improvised melee weapon.

I would use the clubs skill to do so.
