So, having run through one of the pre-written adventures with my group (Splintered State, which was fun!), I've moved on as a gamemaster to actually writing runs for Shadowrun. Personally when I write, i need to have some music in the background, so I was wondering what your personal favorite song(s) to write Shadowrun are. Personally i start every writing session with "American Capitalist" by Five Finger Death Punch:

Anyone else have some songs they love to write by?

I listen to "two steps from hell", contrary to what their name implies it is actually motivational. I have plotted some of my most epic runs while inspired by them.

I've been doing some writing recently but (at least for me) it's easier to write for scenes and plans, having fitting music to accompany the scenes you're writing or planning depending on your particular avenue.
Some recent and personal favorites however include:
Celldweller - A Dystopian Utopia
CloZee - Koto
The Desolate Hope OST - Viren Boss theme
Overwerk - Toccata
Overwerk - Canon Pt. II
JoJo's Bizzare Adventure - Awaken
Caravan Palace - Rock it for me
Caravan Palace - Lone Digger [Warning: Explicit]
Caravan Palace - Beatophone
Miami Nights 1984 - Ocean Drive
Miami Nights 1984 - Accelerated
I will admit I'm a bit of a sucker for a rhythm but I can pretty much listen to anything. Such as the 'Quest for the Holy Grail' overture and 'The Witch and the Saint' as I'm trying to write a homebrew run that involves the Arthurian mythos and Evo's own quest to find the holy grail.
It really depends on the context and scene.

Thread necromancy! My group took a summer break...because personal stuff (fortunately not all with one person), so I'm writing again. Added some songs and artists to my playlist. as suggested in this thread, so I thought that if you interested in adding some authentic "classical" Seattle music that most people are not familiar with you might try Windowpane, a rock group that's been around the area for some time without making it big.

Keep up the suggestions, just haven't had a chance to actually write much given the crazy summer.
