Any opinions on this thing? Reason I'm asking is it looks like it might be one of the best civilian vehicles in the game.

Not bad, but if you want the best body and armor, RoadMaster is still the king.

The roadmaster is terrible.
Seems to me you want:
1. Durability. OK Roadmaster's the best at this.
2. Speed/Agility. Bad Roadmaster bad.
3. Stealth/Inconspicuousness. Worse.
Pickup trucks in SR5 do all 3 pretty well, especially inconspicuous since you can just put a "Joe's Aluminum Siding and Bulletproof Glass" sticker/AR on them and they go anywhere.
Not a pickup fanatic IRL or anything.

Armadillo ftw is standard equipment the all that you see here or you just pick one?

Speed/handling meh, the rigger drives it, so who cares. As far as inconspicuous, it's called morphing license plate, spoofing chips, and cemeleon coating. Now it can be any armed car or moving van you want. Plus, with body its high body, you have more mod slots than nearly any other vehicle on the market. So go ahead and raise its speed and handling a bit, add in grid-guide override and manual control override, and any other fun mods you want. Then you still have slots for drone racks, concealable weapon turrets, gun ports, extra armor, run flat tires (or street tires for more handling), and winch.

For some jobs sure... killing toxic shamans (shamen?) won't put the law on you, and when it pays millions, well, money for upgrading the armored car is no object. But when you're in lower power compaign and PCs commit crimes... they're going to want something faster and more affordable and less conspicuous than a tank. Pickups/Vans/even Rover2074s can using chameleon coat to blend into traffic during your getaway. The Streetmaster not so much.

The Minotaur is remarkable for his Rating 4 Pilot.
That said: With a few modifications you can get the same and better for less nuyen.
The Gopher or the Morgan Thundercloud as basis should do nicely.

Good call, those would be my next choices, esp the Gopher. And Thundercloud Morgan is a bargain at 7.5kY

Take a closer look at it's pilot and sensors ;)
That thing is basically a throwback without any electronics (and a weapon mount operated manual only). Which may be fine for some people, but has very limited use for riggers.

That's a feature. Installing the requisite parts is no problem - and you don't have to throw out any preexisting hardware.

Even outside games where hunting tox mages is not the norm (my group wanted PINK!!), there are better options than the minotaur. Gopher is my favorite truck, because of the base off-road mods installed. Sadly, not much out of Rigger Vehicle wise screamed by me now. The mil-spec T-Bird being one of the exceptions to that statement.

It's funny, because I literally can't find the Minotaur in the Rigger 5.0 book except for in the table at the very back end. It points to page 53, but I can't find it anywhere in my book. Note: I have the PDF version from drivethrurpg.
What gives?
Edit: Thanks for the help, Rift! No wonder I couldn't find it, the table was 20 pages off!

It is a civilian version of pseudo-military truck, the Dodge Stallion p72-73. I used pseudo because nothing is truely military fighting vehicles.

It was most likely meant to be on page 53 but somehow wasn't put there, they even mention it in Fluff text.
Overall the Minotaur is a good vehicle that lacks a bit in Armor, you can upgrade the Armor
but at that point you you can just buy the Concordat(which is pretty much the best Civilian Vehicle Overall).
and if you don't care for the electronics the Gopher is alot cheaper,even with upgraded speed, and has more Armor.
