Title: At the limit - the six million Nuyen man
Post by: Jack_Spade on <04-19-16/1531:18>
Inspired by the cyber vs. adept thread
I thought about making the most expensive cybered character possible (obviously a corp NPC)

My goal was to cram ware worth 6 million Nuyen into him.

Sadly, so far I've only managed to spend 4.838.795 on all Deltaware implants at 0,01 Essence:

Has anyone an idea how to cram another million into that?

Off the top of my head, down grade the Bone Lacing.  Add Brain Stuffs.  Cerebellum boosters, Tailored Pheromones, Reflex Recorders ect ect ect.  You should be able to get another million in Cultured Bioware and assorted Geneware.

Why didn't you use Transhuman Prototype to add 1ESS of bioware ?

@Hache

Because I wanted to keep it with the theme of the original 6-million dollar man or - if you aren't familiar with that old show - Adam Jensen: Rebuild after an accident. But I might change that, depending on if it's not possible otherwise.

@Hobbes & Fancy Derek

Yeah, good catch, I forgot about the Titan Bones.
But I'll try to use cyber where ever possible - doing this exercise with Bioware would be rather trivial.  ;)

If you drop Bone Lacing and replace with Cybertorso, you don't change Essence and can spend a bunch of money filling the capacity of the torso.

Augmentation Bundles would help, but ruin the cost schtick.

Thanks guys, that did the trick:

6.1 Million to turn some average guy with good cyberware compatibility into an almost unstoppable monster. With the skillwires it doesn't matter what he learned - now he's competent. Various drugs - including a killswitch - make him controllable and it's even possible to boost his performance further.

If you disregard the high availability for a moment, 6 million aren't actually that much money for a mega corp...

All he needs now is a quickened high force manabarrier around him to stop those pesky mana and mind control spells.

I don't think Radar Sensor can be put in cyberarms. Even if you could, the GM should give pretty hefty penalties when you move or fight, because the frame of reference is moved in relation to the head, where all other sensory data (especially balance) is processed. Strap a GoPro to your arm and run around; it's much trickier to keep track of the environment.

I think you underestimate the processing power of the SR computer technology. They even have a boomerang with a spy sensor.
Besides, it's radar and not a camera  ::)

Looking good, my only question is does he make the noise when he jumps or hits someone.

An Infrasonic Generator is Bodyware which modifies your larynx. "A modified version of the standard voice modulator" (which is actually Headware).

Consequently, it likely shouldn't be installed in a cyberarm as you have in one instance.

Two things:
- Infrasound is notoriously hard to locate so it doesn't matter where the speaker is hidden.
- The Infrasoundgenerator has a capacity rating, so you can by RAW install it in a limb - which in this case is also realistic: Your larynx just isn't big enough to contain a speaker that can create infrasonic frequencies.
Also, unlike the voice modulator this piece of cyberware doesn't need to be connected directly to your voice box. A simple microphone will suffice so it activates when you speak. (Yeah, I actually did think about this ^^)
