When we finish the current story arc (probably one or two more sessions) my group are going to hunt down and execute the Shadowrunner G-Nome. I am making this post on behalf of my group asking if anyone here knows if he has appeared in any of the books other than Howling Shadows?
From reading his posts we have a few plans on now to narrow down who he really is (or the SIN he is currently using). But the more information we can scrounge up the better. I would also like to know if he has any association with known Runners? (And if so, Who; other than the Ghoul of course).
He's made a few fatal slips on his online posts (in Howling Shadows) that make it pretty easy to figure out who he is in real life, but I just want to know as much as we can dig up from him within the setting (that has been posted on JackPoint -- either by him or others pertaining to him). Any information would be much appreciated.

Do I assume from the lack of response that he has not appeared in any other publications?
-
All I can say is, that I've never heard of him before. But absence of evidence is not evidence of absence...
Good luck on your gnome hunt ;)
-
My only guess, and it's only a guess would be chromed flesh maybe, but he seems very much focused on animals. Why are you taking him down by the way?
-
Hey BB, why the hate!
I get that you don't like my views on nature but while I know it's destructive side, so do most. I want people to understand that nature isn't out to kill you, you are treading in waters not native to you.
As for killing me...hrmmmm...I would say bring it. I'm not some office intellectual. I've spent the better part of the last 20+ years surviving wilds that make the streets of Lagos look like a safe corporate enclave.
Let the gnome haters come. Maybe they'll get to meet Chip, my newest friend.
Sincerely,
G-Nome

haha awesome reply.
shouldn't this move to play by post now?
har
Brysen why the hatred for G-Nome?

I think he made his case in this thread:

TL:DR: Sweet, sweet Radical Prejudice in his runner team ;D

If I had of known we were going to get an in character response, I would have done this much differently. lol
Its 4:23am right now, but I will respond/explain first thing tomorrow.

I'm putting a thousand nuyen on the short guy. He'll have home-field advantage and I've seen what paracritters can do. Any takers?
-
I'll take that bet!
From what Brysen said it's like 5 runners against one little Gnome, how could he possibly win?
-
Two words: Pet Juggernaut ;D
-
Or a pack of barghests, or fenrir wolves, or a plethora of other lethal critters out there. Plus, home-field advantage. I know a ton of horrible, horrible things that one could do with that.

Out of Character: Oh yeah, we're potentially screwed. Its not the critters I am so worried about (honestly), G-Nome is a rigger and from his write ups its clear that he has access to expendable micro-drones. He sacrifices a number of them testing various things throughout his observations of the animals in the book (which is quite clever, but he is a Gnome I suppose so it makes sense). When I made this thread, I had done so with the idea that other forum posters would tell me if he was an old character from 1st or 2nd Edition (We only go back as far as 3E). I didn't expect one of the Freelancer's to take time out of their schedule to write a response. Given the loud angry noise I've made over the last couple of weeks they might think they can put ole Blue in the ground and Drones + Critters would be a good way to do it (Honestly). I had intended to gather information via the matrix with our deckers and then track him down via the matrix and try to end him quietly (if possible). But this has changed everything and looks like fun, so lets have at it. After living in the wild for the last four or five months, Brysen has an axe to grind with ole mother nature so lets see how it goes.

EDIT: I am not comfortable sharing my e-mail with an anonymous account (and would prefer to remain anonymous). So if said freelancer could send me a PM on this board, it would be much appreciated.

Despite my best efforts I have yet to tame a juggernaut. Creatively direct, yes. Tame, no.

Where's /dev/grrl/ when you need her? She would be all over this bet!
-
She'd probably side with me. >.>

I Wonder how a G-Nome inspired cheerleading uniform might look like....? :D
-
Next best thing would be a Stir Up interfaced Elephant with bodyarmor and a trunk mounted mini-gun.
Or a Grizzly with camouflage armor and pelt, or. or...
Now that I think about it, I really want to see or participate a run themed around that: Kill the beast master ;D
-
Eh, G-Nome is small time (no offense). I'll chip in some nuyen if you want to target Clockwork, though.
