Title: [SR5] Prince, a Troll with a charming personality

Goblinization are rare in 2070 and they come with their fair share of paternity test. But when it happens to a big political figure in Seattle it made quite a ruckus. Before this event Samuel Oldenburg, now known as Prince, was your typical rich spoiled brat who would have get a mid-management job in some government or corp. After becoming a Troll his father had to use his influence to bury the story, and his Prince carrier in politics at the same time.

Not that Prince really cared, this kind of life looked really boring and his newfound size and physical abilities (without even having to hit the gym, sweet!) opened him countless new experiences and that's naturally that he was drawn into the Shadows.

Allan Oldenburg

The Prince father, his political carrier was quite shaken by the event but he managed to stay afloat. You can say whatever you want about the heart of politician but he still sees Prince as his son, maybe he is going soft with age. He won't hesitate to help his son if he is in need as long as it does not hurt more his already brittle carrier.

Martha Oldenburg

Martha, his elder sister, was a huge help during the event, using her influence into Horizon to suppress it. She stay in touch with her little brother.

Tony

It is surprising how close you can get to your bodyguard when you are suddendly of the same metatype. Tony has been Prince's bodyguard for more than five years and teached him a lot about the shadows.

Carol Oldenburg

Carol is his mother and she was deceased 3 years before his goblinization. Rest in Peace.

Thomas Oldenburg

The family's eldest son, in the right direction to succeed and probably surpass his father in the polical world of Seattle he completely cut ties with the Prince in fear for his career.

Umm... could you explain that Compulsive Quality to me a little more please..

Want to see the hair of people he talks to.  ...so is he collecting hair for later.. some ritual...voodoo doll..?  Is he seeing if Mr. Johnson's carpet matches the drapes..cause that's going to make negotiating difficult I think... Well unless Mr. Johnson is into that...but then you're going to need a Safe Word..

Everything else looks good, except I would personally try to raise Edge..and you already know my opinion on Wired Reflexes I think..

Compulsive (Public Single Aspect) are small things, barely noticeable (the book give 'counting Ford Americar' as an example) and will make someone raise an eyebrow if they notice but not much. Here the idea is that the character do not like talking to someone with his hair covered. If the other chum has a helmet or a hat he might directly ask them to remove it, or build some overly complicated scheme to remove it, or just looks uncomfortable if there is no way.

Well I guess you could imagine he collect them, rich kids these days!

As for Edge it is a bit of a personal gimmick. When I play RPG/Video Games I do not like having stuff with limited charges, like edge (Or damn low level magician in D&D with their 2 spells every day). You just never know when you will get more, some GM might gives you a lot while other 1 point per end session. Too unreliable!

What if someone is Bald?.. is that when things start to get ...umm.. weird?..

As for Edge it is a bit of a personal gimmick. What about Suppressive Fire?  Also, when I'm GMing, I like to have players Roll their Edge for certain things lke to see if they run into some bad luck.

No problem with bald, the problem is with people hiding the top of their head.

Good point about suppressive fire, completely forgot that there were test that use Edge. Guess my GM isn't much about making 'luck' roll for stuff, and having mostly faced low level thug I do not have a lot of Edge roll. Should be easy enough to free ~10 karma to add at least 1 Edge anyway. Or you just stay prone under suppressive fire!

Edge has very explicit refresh mechanics this edition, unlike past editions.

Group skill for Influence also probably aren't as useful as broken with specialties.

I wouldn't bother trying to shoot. Your dice pool is just too poor. Go melee or go home!

The wonders of Automatics weapon is that you can hit even with a low dice pool. There is Full Auto Burst of course which gives -9 dice to your opponent but I can also use a Suppressive Fire which only require a single net hit to force everyone to go prone.

It doesn't matter if I hit or not in the end because it's not my role. But even a single bullet is -1 Defense pool for the Combat Turn which my Street Sam will be able to use to deal more damage.

I mean sure you can shred mooks, but you're not going to hit anything competent, 9 dice down or no.

Which is not a problem since the character is a face and not a fighter. Well he has some skills to fight but nothing ground breaking, mostly supporting the Sam. I should review the build anyway and probably replace Wired Reflexes with Boosted Reflexes and probably an other couple of correction here and there..
