Title: Was thinkng about...and then....
Post by: Vandal Noire on <08-05-16/1848:12>
SO I WAS THINKING OF DOING THE COURT OF SHADOWS, SEEMS LIKE A COOL CONCEPT BUT ALSO AT THE SAME TIME, A BIT OUT OF THE SCOPE OF MANY OF MY PLAYERS CHARACTERS. mY BIGGEST CONCERNS ARE VIABILITY OF SAM'S IN THE FAE WORLD, HOW DO THEY GET THERE? WHAT ARE THEY ACTUALLY CAPABLE OF IN A WORLD WHERE THE RULES ARE DIFFERENT THAN THE MATERIAL AND FINALLY WANTED TO ASK ABOUT SOME OF YOU GUYS EXPERIENCES WITH THIS EXPANSION/CAMPAIGN?

Nah caps not broken, im just at work and the system that we use is DOS and requires caps so half the time im typing while looking at another screen and don't realize the caps are on until ive typed a life story into the post and don't feel like retyping everything.

I did however update my sig so as to let everyone know why it happens when it happens.

Well, about getting there - there are couple of methods in the book:
Quote
•    Using a magical artifact.
•    Performing an arcane ritual.
•    Finding a willing guide.
•    Working with an Adept.
•    Discovering one of the original maps to the fae.
•    Accidentally stumbling onto the plane.
Also there is a literal hole in Yellowstone.
About "rules are different" - it's not absolutely true either. Mana works the same way, so magicans and adepts stays as they were. Same for physical sams. Deckers and Riggers... that's complicated, deckers can use some kind of living "servers" fae using, and riggers magically became beastmasters. Just as that.

I don't like it though. There is a big chunks of reality very closer to generic shadowrunner to write a book about, I believe. Tirs (yes, one of my players building a character from TIr Tairngire, and I'm trying to get info by bits from all over the books, lending books from friends)? Indians but Siux? Atzlan? Both Americas (USA-Canadian one and Dixie)? Nah. That's a book about mystical metaplan.
