Title: Looking for a game historian.
Post by: OldTimeRunner on <09-05-16/2008:35>
Hoi Chummers,

I've put a lot of thought into how to write this, and in the end i decided to just be honest. I am a die hard Shadowrun fan who has been locked up for a long time.  I've been playing since the early '90s, and it's my favorite game.  I've been doing my best to stay up-to-date on the official story line and in-game canon, but it's very hard to do.  I have almost all of the 5th ed. books, but I feel like i'm only getting half the story.  i have no access to the websites except  through my family, and though they try, they don't play.  So, some of my questions get lost in translation.

What I'm looking for is a kind soul to help me out with my questions and such.  If someone is willing to help but is not comfortable contacting me directly (which I completely understand), just post a response to this thread and my brother will pass it on.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.  If you would like to contact me directly, you can write me a letter at:

You're in luck! Many of us have played all five editions, read every novel and sourcebook. Post your questions here (or have your brother do so), and we'll answer them.

I wouldn't be uncomfortable contacting you directly, but honestly you'll get better, more complete information from the group than from any one individual.

Writing a real letter and putting it in the mail is a chore ;-)

But if you provide a list of questions for your brother to post here you'll get a ton of responses which he can then print and hand off to you.
