<<Just got a job offer for you. Handsome S-K fellow, goes by Dr. Schmitt, want's to hire your talents for a big job. Says to come tonight to Charly's Bar'n Grill, Steward street around 6.>>
"Krestov... What are you doing here..? I'm ... I'm all right. I'll just have to ... f-"
bnc sighs, inaudibly to Krestov, then takes a moment to bring some order in her thoughts.
"That model? What - are we chosing our companions by the size of their titties now? I... This is so embarassing, Krestov. This is the worst first impression ever... She ... Damn, I believe she's a mage. She...
I dunno why I'm asking you at all, but can I take a bit of Whoom? Just half a patch, promise. I-I'd prop myself up with a tiny, half dose of bananadust, so I won't be sleepy. Do you remember it? You liked me a lot when we tried it. Just a hint to make the pain go. You're okay with it, aren't you?"
Slobbertooth would have speak over the noise and interference of his respirator or speak over the noise of him stuffing steak into his mouth. Recognizing that, he did his best to keep things simple.
"I'm Slobbertooth. I dust people. Usually with guns. Sometimes I sneak up on people before I dust 'em. I like to take long walks on the beach with my dog."
"I go by the handle of Flatline, a razor that I worked with decided it was appropriate given my medical skills.”
"It's great to know people around who know their business. So you'd be our rigger, right? May I ask - without any specifics at this point - what your specialization might be - drones? Planes? Matchbox cars?"
AnnaYael nodded and said "Anna", after a pause she said "So bnc is in leet speak or do you have something against vowels?"
"Name's bnc", Bianca responds dryly. "no capital letters, if you please. And you are...?"
"Hey Slitch,Anna hoped that the note will keep Irene from looking for her. This time was different though as Anna was uncertain if she is to ever get back to her apartment after the 'mission'. Saying a mental 'goodbye' to the apartment, she sighed and took a deep breath. She locked the door behind her and walked into the night, never looking back at the place.
Hope you enjoyed slotting the dude... He looked kind of hot!
School is going badly and with that terrible performance I desperately need some alone time.
I am leaving to visit my grandmother.
The one we talked about with the lake house.
I'll spend a a short while practicing, and come back when my singing improves.
I will bring you something sweet when I return.
Kisses
Anna. "
Schmitt waited for Flatline to approach him and hear his concern:
"Frankly, you will have to. This is a million nuyen job. Your chance to return to your responsibilities and your people is a lot higher if you don't have contact during this time. This is a very delicate operation against one of the most ruthless mega corps. If anything gets out about this job beforehand we'd risk everything.
You won't need to move your lab, the safe house has a complete med-station for you. Everything it doesn't have can be organized within a few days.
My timetable and restrictions are non-negotiable. If you want out, I do have some Laes to delete the last hour from your memory. That is the only other option I can give you."
@bnc@Krestov>>It's a race. Last one there before tomorrow wins.>>
"Regarding my lab, it is actually a hermetic lodge, I think I would be best able to fill my role in the team with it available, but it will require a week to functionally move to the location. What would you prefer?"
@bnc>>Well I guess you win then ;-P.<<Quote from: Slobbertooth@bnc@Krestov>>It's a race. Last one there before tomorrow wins.>>Fuck, what? I shoulda been there by yesterday? Oh, crap, this ain't a good way to start. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
<@Slobbertooth@Krestov <Sorry, I thought we were invited for brunch. Got some important stuff to do left. Dammit, I'll come asap.>>
When Kite arrives Anna welcomes her "Good morning" and asks "Do you need a hand with your things?"
"Is she... safe?"Slobbertooth shrugged, "I think so. I've only had to use my Ruger and shoot her with stun ammunition once."
Mike explained to Kite when he saw the Proletarian: "Ah, nice to see the old model's are still around. You can add him to the little network there. Clever Smurf..." he pointed at the only red painted drone "has an upgraded pilot. I'm using the swarm program to share that capacity between the three as well as the roaches." At that he pointed at a small box with 9 Kanmushi drones.
"We've got all the good autosofts for them. Give them a task and they'll teamwork it almost by themselves. The roaches are really useful to work on machines without taking them apart. And don't tell your medical mage, but the roaches are also excellent surgeons, although it's really creepy when they work on you.
“Have fun with your toys."
"Good morning, Kite!", bnc yells towards her, definitely in a better mood than the night before. "I can help you with your pockets. I'm not half as well equipped as you are but you mighta noticed that I'm wired, too. I promise I won't touch a frag without you allowing, but may I ask you to show me your toys? Um, not wanting to be a nuisance on the first day... Just ... Just un poquito wired up 'bout drones."
"...now I'm hoping the doctor will show up. It might therefore fall on your shoulders Krestov."
"[...]
I am also interested in the boring technical details about how the sale is going to be decided. Is it a vote? an auction? do someone in the family get a veto? In other words, who are the important people to please to seal the deal.
I hope I do not come up as overly eager but I kind of like to be prepared."
"
bnc raises an eyebrow in Anna's direction, reluctant acknowledgment can be read in her facial expression. "You do seem to know your job. 'case I end up needing fancy suits and stuff, um, may I lay the task in your well-manicured hands? I ain't got no basics on that topic."
"Setup is ideal. From what sounding, Anna and Flatline good for talking to, with me there as backup. From what Krestov understand, corps appreciating displays of protection and security, and troll good showing of that." he lowered his gaze, folding his hands in front of his mouth. "Krestov accept this plan. Ready to assist how am able."
"M... Muss ich ein Kleid tragen?"
Something close to horror is carved in bnc's face.
- Charles Whitman, board member of Crashcart unlimited and fellow golfer, personal acquaintance of Tom Masterson. A very hot candidate to get the bid, lives in Seattle. Not married, but a womanizer.
Absolutely the most dangerous opposition, but easiest to access. We can set a girl on him, have her keep him occupied. Or simply arrange transportation difficulties if we can find his house.Quote
- Anna Tschernenko, Russian painter and sculptor (Neo-Post-Post-Modernist style), eccentric and renowned for passionate (some would say intoxicated) displays at inappropriate moments. Lives in St. Petersburg. Has had multiple run ins with the police, has been charged with vandalism and assault against police officers.
If she is still in St. Peterburg we can possibly delay or misdirect her flight and take her out of the equation. Another possibility if she has warrants is to simply tip off the police. Could be a hothead, easily to provoke in person.Quote- Blake Coleman, prosecuting attorney in Seattle, well connected with Knight Errant and Lone Star. Lives in Seattle. Has a very busy work live with very tight schedules.
Another we can definitely mess up with travel problems, or drop a credible death threat rumor, have him get overprotected by his own contacts. Any run-ins with Natives that we could use?Quote- Joe Crow, Amerindian Shaman and resident on Council Island as part of the diplomatic corps. Might have a drinking problem.
Biggest problem, can't mess with his travel, may just have to outbid and outcharm him. Get him drinking and let nature take it's course? Maybe with something in a drink to heighten effects.Quote- Lee Wong, high ranking Wuxing manager, Oxford educated and still enthusiastic rower. Lives in London. Strong believer in Feng Shui.
Know little about Feng Shui, maybe use it against him. Another problem traveler, he could be coming with hosts.
<<Feel free to add or critique guys, we need plans.>>
Pulling up a small AR window, he pulled up a file he had saved before loading it into a small datachip. Clearing his throat, he got the woman's attention.
"Pardons. Naming is Kite, da? Here..." He made sure not to step on anything as he offered the chip. "Is my weight with and without gear. Whenever work with vehicle specialists, am always asked. Something about suspension and balance or something. Hope this saves time..."
We should be careful not to take out too many of them. This would be suspicious. Two or three of them should actually arrive at the meeting.
My ideas on the topic:
- Charles Whitman: I agree that a girl should take care of him. Maybe Anna? We should have a plan B for him, to be sure. I could havoc with his car, but I'm not really satisfied with the idea. Maybe we can send Slob to scare the heck outta him?
- Anna Tschernenko: Maybe we can fake a crime and thus start an investigation that keeps her off? It should do to keep her a few days.
- Blake Coleman: I propose we invite him to a meeting he can't possibly cancel. With a little more research and a nice hack here or there I should be able to distract him for the day.
- Joe Crow: Let's just be nice with him and be more charming.
- Lee Wong: I agree that we could hinder his journey. If not, he might be the second competitor we can afford to reach the island.

Make, could we have that whiskey without the narcotic? That way, he might arrive slightly drunk, making a bad impression. We could be nice to him, invite him over or something. You know, display gentlemanship. Share a nice whiskey or a glass of kognac. Who would we be to deny a guest a second drink?
I like the idea of taking out two with one strike. Since Coleman is the most experienced with criminals, I would suggest Whitman, however. This way, Tom Masterson might also be ultimativo pissed.
So we hinder Whitman from taking off and try to make Tschernenko look the most suspicious. Even if she's not prosecuted, she's not going to get the boathouse. This way, she might even show up, making it look even less suspicious.

"Can you explain what you are doing exactly to an old ork?
Flatline, you want that Firewater and visit Crow with it, correct? When do you want to go, now, this evening or do you want to invite Crow for a liquid breakfast around 8 shortly before the tour starts?
"Uh...

Or else, anyone free to act. Slob for example? Go there, and make sure she's not going to have an alibi."

"There a few ways I could distract her, but none of them would prevent her from having an alibi, they would probably just create more alibis or be horribly ineffective. I can tail her, if you'd like.. I guess
Do you have any idea where she is, or where she's staying?"
"Uhm ... just gimme a tic ... ya, there you go."
She creates an ARO and places it in the info room, somewhere near to Slobbertooth. The icon is emerald green, depicting a map with a red spot.
"You pop it up, you get a map of Seattle with her current position plus a log of her trail during the time from before two minutes until I have to switch off my cyberdeck - which is not going to be a very long time; GOD's every watchful. I think for the moment he best would be to observe her, then see what we can do. But you should best get going an hour ago.
"Slob, wait a sec. Come to my room and fetch a data tap or two. You might need it."
To be fair, Krestov had not imagined in his wildest dreams that his simple plan would go over so well. So as he is sitting with Kite, speeding off, the text manages to make the stony troll rumble out a chuckle. "Mission is good. Thank you for help, Kite. I did promise dinner for help, da?" While that was being worked over, he sent a courtesy text to his contact in the KE.Slobbertooth woke up from his stupor. Oh thank god someone can help me with this. Slobber had been slightly panicking about how to accomplish this without resorting weapons discharge. Ha. Discharge
<<Thank you for letting me know. It sounds very entertaining. I will look for it on the trid>>
Some time later, his comm gave him a ping, telling him one of his nicknames was being used in the group chat. Having been focused on his mission this whole time, he admitted to being a bit confused as to his role. So, he replied in the chat honestly..
<<bnc, what is it you had in mind with me and Tschernenko? My part is taken care of, so I can be available, but if time is a factor, may have issues.>>
Anna figured out the flaws in her plan and decided to improvise, it was a bit risky but she hoped to get away with it, she used the drive to secretly stash some bliss in the car. Waiting for a moment where Charles is preoccupied to seed the car.
When they got to his apartment Anna took a drink and then walked around to admire the paintings, she seemed really intrigued by the erotic of them, and even took some ideas for things that she wanted to try. Then she stopped at some random painting, and angrily splashed her drink at that painting. As if it was not enough, she shattered her glass at the painting and cried madly "Die Die! Kasinsky! You ruined my life."
She looked at Charles that was probably caught by surprise and said in a combination of self awareness and embarrassment "I am a failed artist and will never be as big as Kasinsky, this is why you have him on your wall and not me, A life wasted... "
Yael smiled and said "Thank you, you are very kind" she paused and then said "Alcohol is a passion of mine and I am very knowledgeable and am always looking for these little pieces of heaven. Like that champagne I had tonight, it was the real deal. The problem I see with getting him to drink is that it usually involves us drinking as well. With my weight I get drunk quickly. What did you have in mind? Perhaps Krestov can help with that, he should be able to drink quite a bit."
Yael was annoyed and grabbed tightly to the door handle. It took a deep breath and a moment of silent before she spoke "Dayum, Charles was poking a bear and thank you AGAIN for saving my cover. The next time that you feel like voicing your doubts of whether I like to be sexually assaulted just don't, it is like you have no filters at all."
bnc looks up to the party again, no longer distracted from an invisible chat log before her eyes. "Change of plan, I guess, mu chicas e chicos.
"Actually Yael, I'm the one that gave him the name Special K." Slobbertooth walked over and put an arm around the troll. "And no they aren't together or something."
Mike appeared a little while later, handing out packages, containing IDs and burner commlinks of high quality + the required licences and other stuff the team had requested."What the hell am I going to do at a fancy party? Lets' go get the boat."
"Alright. While you guys have fun on the island, I'll go and get the sub. Slobber, do you still want to accompany me, or would you rather go with your team instead? It's fine either way.
Oh by the way: A friend at KE just gave me a heads up that a Mr. Whitman got caught with a surprising amount of drugs in his car at the border crossing. So good work and good luck."
"I slept well, Roberta thank you. I think we should follow standard corporate protocols, like we just did, you should handle all interactions with Ruth and Mr. King and do introductions, and I will interact with you and any of the principles. I think I can adequately pull off that much and leave the majority of the social grease to you."
At the warehouse:Slobbertooth pinched the bridge of his nose but holstered his Ruger. He opened his duffel bag to make sure that his Yamaha Raiden was there and was loaded with gel ammunition.
Johnny suddenly smiled and dropped the weapon. The remaining bodyguard stepped away from Mike raising his hands too.
"Dreadfully sorry to say so, but I don't have the boat anymore."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean? You received 10% already from me. Are you telling me you sold it to someone else?" Mike sounded furious - quit unlike his usual laid back self.
"Not exactly. I mean, technically I didn't receive any money for it. You see, I was selling these guns to those gangers..."
"Hold up, don't tell me: They liked what you sold them and asked for ammo to go with it. You stupid greedy little shit gave it to them and they promptly held you up and stole the biggest, most expensive looking thing you had laying around.
And now you wanted to recoup your losses by taking my money and feeding us to the fishes."
"No, no, that's not at all... I mean ok, yeah they did rob me with weapons I sold them, but I didn't intend..."
"Save it Johnny or I'll adjust your nick name personally.
Now tell me: Who are those gangers and where can I find them. And give me back my 10%."
"Mike please, don't be hasty. I'll tell you but I don't have the money anymore..."
"I said save it. Names. Now."
"It's just three guys: An elf called Reaper, human named Twitch and Coco an Ork. They hang out at the garage of the old fire brigade. I'm pretty sure they haven't sold it yet."
Now Crow looked definitely interested: "Well, well. Now that is an interesting idea. So you propose we prepare a contract, so you rent the property and give me a veto right on anyone you want to sublease. No need to transfer it - my niece would only have grounds to appeal the transaction.
That would spare us a lot of trouble with my niece and her damned lawyer husband.
Alright. If we do it like that, I won't move against Meteor and will allow you to give your bid unmolested. Let me just call my council paralegal and he can hammer out a contract."

Goes unconscious
The confused look was replaced by a scared look and after that by a load of gel gunk to the face.
And with that the small gang was done for. Mike carefully stuck his head inside, nodded and gave Slobber the thumbs up. With a quick pull he ripped the power cord from the wall socket and the music died.
"Seems like those boys just wanted to party. The boat looks like it isn't damaged. I'll go and get the car to hitch the trailer."
Crow returned the toast and said: "Don't mention it." After downing the drink he said: "Good stuff. But now you better leave, or you won't get your boat house either way."Not a fan of taking the things they actually bought so that we can repay the guy who shot me in the chest, however ineffectually. I'll defer to your experience here, though.
In the Barrens:
Mike nodded: "Might be better if we take their toys away. I don't particularly like Johnny Threefingers, but he just has so much talent to get his grubby little fingers on advanced hardware that I'd hate to lose him as a contact. And I'm pretty sure that those guys are at least clever enough to know who gave away their address."
bnc took the food gratefully. Feinkost Käfer wasn't exactly something that reminded her of home, as the simplest Käfer stuff still cost roughly four times as much as she could afford - and eight times as much as she wanted to. But still, she couldn't deny that something as simple as an ä gave her kind of a warm feeling, after living more than a year in the UCAS. The bananas made her even happier than the letter. Seeing that Gerhard had chosen each runner's favorite dish, she decided to remember what he himself ate, to maybe pay him back his efforts another day.
When their Johnson asked about problems, she hesitated. Only when he insisted, she decided to open her mouth. Before the words poured out, however, the memory of a schooltime that ended so abruptly when first Dmeyk, then Krestov came into her life, flashed up; and speaking to their Johnson about the issues felt a bit like telling on Anna. So instead, she said: "No, I don't think there's a problem. No one is going to risk the run or their chummers' lives without consulting with their team, or be unfocussed."
She resisted the temptation to cast a look at Anna. Instead, she dug into her banana muesli.

"Yes, I enjoy sex, and yes I am bloody good at it... but I certainly do not need some middle aged richman that prefers to buy his entertainment rather than charm her. I can get off whenever I choose to, I have a dildo for crying out loud.
Look bnc, I am sorry alright? I did not mean to burst like that. It is embarrassing, I tried to slot you, you refused. I do not just go around and slot people. Well I do, but I sleep with people I want to, not with people I need to. Please, a guy assaulted me just yesterday, I do not want to be alone with another creepy guy... I'll do it, but stop pretending like you are doing me a favor."
<@Slob <How's magical security? Can you tell?>><@bnc<Frag if I know. Assessing ain't my bag.>>
bnc nods, more to herself than to Yael. "I'm not sure. Not as long as I don't have more specific information. So let's first do some recon.
I'll have to go online, while doing so. And I suggest you do the same. Can you find out about their astral security? Do you think you could smuggle in someone under effect of a spell?
Feel free to lie on the couch when you're there. We might have things to discuss once we both finished our surveys."
After Yael's answer, bnc makes herself comfortable in the chair and goes limp again. First thing she does, is a proper Matrix inquiry about Lavadora.

True to his word, Schmitt had transferred another ID packet to bnc that contained a paid account to Indigo Spheres which allowed her to request placing a MARK on the R5 Host of Indigo Spheres (A6S5D7F8).
Charlene smiled: "Haha, no we are just on our coffee break. It's just conveniently across from our work place. But what are security guys from out of town doing here of all places? Don't tell me they are going to rework the security layout again! I've just got used to the new key and voice locks.""We won't be changing the security measures. At least we aren't planning to. Today we're just here to test the camera coverage and Jonathan is here to ask employees about the experience with the security protocols so far. Speaking of which, if you'll excuse me I need to go walk around like an idiot while John asks you who's birthday is being used for the keycodes around here."
"Well, anything besides voice recognition would be great. Or, you know, they could pay a handsome guard to check who is getting in." She was once again poked by her friend who whispered: "Break's over. Rick just gave me a message that we need to enter the new hires' data asap."Slobber came back to the conversation in time to hear her companion let them know break was over. "Well lets not keep the ladies from their work, Johnathan. You can annoy me by getting every pretty lady to gawk at you later. "
In the restaurant, Zola smiled and shook his head: "Nothing primitive about those instruments - primal maybe. From my perspective those instruments are - for the lack of a better word - perfect, just as the music. Neo-classical. The word alone is a contradiction if you apply it to the genius of Bach's works.
I'd never dare to bring a beautiful lady to anything but the pure and unadultered original.

Slobber couldn't see the eyes behind the shaded glasses, but the bodyguard suddenly had a Savalette Guardian in his hand.
With a calm, raspy voice he told Slobber: "You need a better carry case for your SMG, Chummer. I suggest you go somewhere else, before I become suspicious about the rest of your baggage. This floor is taboo for any runs, cons, games or other S's... especially for jackasses."
That was one hell of a roll! Well done, Anna! The dice gods favor her today! :)
Leggio looked Krestov up and down and had already opened his mouth - likely to decline - when he became aware of his two female colleagues smirking at him.
"Yeah sure. But let's keep it civil. I'll go on duty in a few hours."
With that he led the way to the matt readying himself for the sparring match
