Hello, everyone. A friend of mine made me a piece of character art for my character. This is a fictional advertisement for "Running LA," a reality TV show that stars the (less compromising and occasionally doctored) footage of Skull and "his crew" (at least as far as Skull is concerned) from various runs in the LA region of the PCC. So, what does your character look like?

Denver Campaign - Human - Machiavelli

Seattle Campaign - Elf - Davinci

My longest played Shadowrun character was known on the streets as Lobo; those who were in the know figured he came from somewhere in Central America. It was honestly a bit hard to tell, as his features were rather... Unremarkable. He'd get mistaken for CAS, NAN, Aztlaner, Amazonian... Even others if he dressed the part and put a little effort into his appearance. Not to mention he had as knack for accents. Most people noticed he stuck to long sleeves as well, the reason was rather obvious if someone saw him without clothes. Pretty much every part of his body had been clawed, cut, shot, stabbed or burned at some point, excepting his face. The severity of damage suggests that a headshot of such a degree would have been a kill on him. He 'earned' those battle-scars as a child-soldier adept fighting in the Yucatan against Aztechnology. After the war ended, he got out (especially after Aztechnology's bounty was renewed after he helped kill some high-ranking officers and mages towards the end). But then, without those exposed to catch the eye, people generally tended not to notice him (Bland, woot woot).

My favourite character has his description in Russell Zimmerman's novel Shaken (No Job Too Small):
Sterling was next, a bounty hunter dragged in by the credstick. He’d hunted his fair share of monsters and fought his share of uphill battles. He was as Italian as they come, all swept-back black hair and high cheekbones, maybe the last Italian anywhere near Puyallup that wasn’t in bed with the Gianellis. Unlike Pinkerton, his eyes flashed chrome in the morning sun, a replacement set as much as an upgrade, judging by the scarring around his eyes; I’d heard rumors of it having been acid, maybe a naga, maybe fire. I didn’t care what had done it, ghouls were all I was worried about today.
If you haven't read the book, I'd highly recommend it even if Rusty hadn't done me the honour of using my character. Both he and Oliver Gagnon were in a position to lift my spirits at a very low point in my life, and I'll be forever grateful to both of them.

I've a couple, but my oldest surviving runner was supposed to be pretty plain, all things considered.
He's a regular looking, average built human son of the midwest; a full head of brown hair with a slight wave, hazel eyes, roundish plain face, clean-shaved.
Fairly plain-spoken, with that blunt Chicagoan lean in his phrases.
...Then he turned into the team's Face after the original Face died. So he had to play up his appearance a lot. Started adopting new looks (via Etiquette and Disguise) for specific jobs, clientele and investigations.
(had to learn Or'zet too, since his best friend and fellow runner was a big puller with the Ork Brotherhood and the primordial chapter of ORC; which lead to some hilarious scenes)
He had his 15 minutes of Shadow-Fame on the Matrix when he solo-dueled a rampaging Materialized Force 12 Alligator Spirit (and his fellow runner "friend" recorded it, and sold it to a TridPirate station in Montana).
Long range bombardment and containment did little but piss the beast off, so my runner stepped in. Before he was unceremoniously ordained the "Replacement Face", he was originally a CQC Physical Adept, and had learned the Distance Strike power to augment his Killing Hands.
In brief, he jousted the spirit on his old bike (which was subsequently destroyed in this engagement) before getting up and basically combo-punching it to death with Magic Haymakers and "Hadokens".
After that, he had to rotate between his fake/street personas far more regularly, because of dumb punks looking to challenge him and more ambitious organizations looking to hire/extract him for pit fights.
Which means that he was very rarely "himself" until his apparent "death" in Denver, 2064. (no, he didn't die, but he did get a "makeover" of sorts)

Heh. Skull does some of that. He is an elf with elements of a face, adept, and street samurai in his build. His cyberware is fairly light (not to damage his magic score too much). He leans far more heavily on the adept and face side of things (though he doesn't fight unarmed, as he is too weak for that. He focuses on a parkour style of melee combat, leaping up and off surrounding terrain to attack with a stun baton. When he doesn't want to close in melee, he tends to fight with a Remington 990 shotgun. In extreme emergencies, he has a monowhip hidden in his fingertip, but no footage of that ever makes it onto his TV show, and he tries to avoid witnesses when using his monowhip at all costs. Officially speaking, he never kills anyone). Among his magical powers is the ability to sculpt his face. His tattoos are all smart ink and LED in nature, so he can turn them off and on. Because he is fairly famous (national fame) in LA and the PCC region, he is frequently forced to remold his face and turn off his tattoos when he doesn't want to be noticed/use his fame to his social advantage. It also helps when the group needs to infiltrate a location without drawing attention to themselves. Skull can walk in, camera action off, looking like a normal joe. Then, when he is in position, he turns his TV personality (and its visual aspects) back on and goes to work for the camera.

(and yes, I know. This is from another SR book [don't remember right now] with some green added, but still... it looks cool. :P)

Such pretty pictures. Sadly I have none mine all pretty much look the same (I have a type I prefer to play) Auburn hair, amber eyes (this is a real human eye colour only it's about as rare as true green eyes are) and either a human or an elf or an elf with the human looking quality.

Is that a separate program you can play with, or do you have to have the game?

It's in-game only, unfortunately.
There is a surprising amount of stuff you can detail your character's appearance with.

I miss the Black Desert character creator. They had it available as a stand-alone program for a while as an ad campaign. It was AMAZING.

So, this is the picture that inspired my current character. Even though it's medieval fantasy, I felt it got the idea across. Basically a Dwarf melee adept(with a little bit of bioware) that's ex-corporate security counter-intrusion, so he's much more comfortable in full armour than a business suit. He's a follower of Mountain mentor spirit, and as such has Celtic/Norse knotwork mountain iconography tattoos on his body and face. He's damn good with his combat axe, but carries a heavy pistol under his suit jacket in more polite society. And yes, he has Distinctive Style. :-P

Refer to my avatar for what my character looks like. It's actually still a work in progress that I have to restart after replacing my hard drive. My plan to eventually make image for all the characters in my group .

Mod, a Japanese elf who survived the Renraku Arcology Shutdown (but lost his lower arm). Scary good decker but struggles with an addiction to eX.

I've been cheating in this regard, because I've been using images of actors. It's not perfect, but it's easier for other players to visualise, rather than a written description.
-
This is my bland jack-of-all trades character.
-
While not my current character, I had to make a runner named Kitsune based off this picture. Still have to see if their is an electrifying attachment add-on for melee weapons someone in one of the books.

Crop the hair short, frost the tips, and add a bunch of fox and dracoform themed tattoos and this is my current street shaman runner 8-Ball.

Crimson is a hyperactive spazzmonkey Elf Street Sam who likes guns, shooting things with guns, living fast, doing what she wants, explosions, action, sticking it to the man and and cute dumb Elf boys. Her dislikes are mostly focused on the Megas and being told what to do. She lies about her background to seem cooler.
Oh, and she's the team leader and face.

I used to use pictures I found online, but I haven't gotten a good one for my "main" character. Originally her alias was Firebug, hence my username, but with how thoroughly I had to remake her to function in 5th editions' neutered technomancer rules, her name is now Lo-Res. I'd change my name on the forum if I could.
The current description for her physical appearance is thus:
"Under all her clothes, Lo-Res is a small and petite pale girl covered in freckles and scars. She has green eyes and messy, short burgundy hair. Her scars are all over, largely covering her torso with a few on her face. One gash through her left eyebrow and a few on her right cheek. Perhaps due to her insecurity, she always wears her polarized-lens motorcycle helmet (with a built-in respirator and sensor array) in public. Even when she's alone she wears it a lot of the time. Clothing-wise she has an electrochromatic urban-explorer jumpsuit that she bought when she got into working as a courier."
In 4e she was a vehicle empath; in 5th she's just kind of shitty at almost everything.
