Idle questions but most of the Awakened Critters are of a see human =eat human mentality and it got me wondering are there ones that aren't. For example a herbivore that'll run from/avoid humans like a deer would? I can see a lot of potential for the ravens of the tower of London or the foxes and deer's of certain islands in Japan. Mystically tied to their region and neutron or even friendly (if you have food) to the people there.

If you look through Howling Shadows, each critter is given an Aggro Index from 1 to 10 as a rough scale of how likely to attack they are.
Bandits, for instance (the Awakened racoons) only have a 2.1; they won't just try to attack people.
Gomatia are another example of not traditionally aggressive (1.2) Awakened critters; there's accounts of them being used as security animals or being trained by gangers to hunt. As long as a gomatia isn't around its young, you could probably walk up to one in the wild and pet it (if you didn't startle it). They're even found as domestic pets.
There's many other examples; I highly recommend checking out the book if you have the time. It also has some good stuff for magicians in it (new Mentor Spirits), and may have you wanting to play an animal adept.
