Title: What is the legal situation of shifters in the Sioux Nation?
Post by: Carmody on <03-13-17/0649:54>
Hi all,

I could not easily find the answer to this question, so if anyone knows I would be glad  :)
Basically I want to know whether they have citizenship, and if not, how badly they are tracked.

Thanks in advance

The answer is actually quite simple. Run Faster, pg 100, entry for Shapeshifters about International Status:

"The NAN states, Amazonia, Azania, and Aztlan recognize shapeshifter sapience and issue them SINs when they come in from the wild."

ok, I have to admit I did not search at all...  :-[
I was thinking that the information would be much more difficult to find.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the fast answer  :)

No problem. If it makes you feel a bit better, if I hadn't double-checked it in the book first, I would have been wrong (my gut response was that the NAN nations weren't on that list). And the only reason I knew that the list was there to find was because I've done my research on Shifters before.

SR4's Running Wild has a nice section on Shapechangers. The author visits a Sioux family of Wolf-Shifters, where the male is a Sioux Wildcat.
