I have just read thru the third or fourth thread that has essentially devolved into a conversation. Not really complaining, but it does spark the interest that a chat would be really cool to have.
I dunno what kind of script it would take, because I ain't a computer geek, just a gamer geek, but ideally it would be the kind of chat where private rooms could be had to run online games in.
What say you all?

On one had I agree with you, Crossbow...chat room(s) would be cool.
On the other I worry that I would not be able to remember what was said in chat vs. forum and then spend hours (days, years, ages of magic, hehe) searching the forums for that one bit of information that would help settle an issue from my live game only to realize that it was talked about in chat (or worse yet, never realize it, hehe). So the old grumpy man that I am says, "no! force'em to keep records!"
But yeah, would be cool to chat and there is the IM options in the profiles. There's several instant-wall type applications but it's been years since I researched it.

I'm afraid I'm quite guilty of creating conversations in the threads. But I find that sometimes the conversations will spark ideas in regards to the topics that dry discussion of the material simply doesn't do. I do try to keep the thread drift to a minimum, when possible. If you think a topic is drifting too far off topic, go ahead and send me a PM (or you could even report it), just let us know that it's not anything offensive, just that some attention is needed.

Yep you are one of the guilty ones, but like I said I am not really upset about it, and it doesn't change the fact that I would still like a chatroom :)

There seems to be more active users in the Undernet shadowrun channel #S-Run. Typically 20-25 users online instead of 5-10.
