wonder what scale those minis are...
-
Oooh, the cover of the Rogue's Gallery is one of the cards that isn't from a Kickstarter backer but someone else involved instead, so we were teased that image but didn't receive it when we received our KS cards. I'm guessing it will include the Rogue Gallery level Kickstarter cards, since at that level you become a named NPC.
So many things I want, but Shadowrun products cannot be bought from stores inside the Netherlands... (The Catalyst-intermediary doesn't offer Shadowrun materials, so the FLGS can only order from other countries...) Guess I'll have to order from Orcs Nest in London or visit Kleve in Germany to buy their English material once they get some in.
@Opti: Once we get Sprawl Ops in, we can compare the photo to determine the size.

They look like 32mm, but would be great to get confirmation.
-
Checking, and hoping to have an answer soon. I'll reply here and update the post when I do.
-
Excited!
-
Please tell me there will be more sets of minis like “gang members” and “Corporate security.” Really need some good minis for the game and I can hardly wait to paint them up.

That reminds me, I still need to paint my metal Shadowrun miniatures. They're roughly the same price as these seem to be per miniature.
-
Ooh, I was wondering when there'd ever be something taking place in Neo-Toronto. I'm certainly interested in that.
I'm also happy that they're starting out with a book or two about setting history, since anything that's been around for as long would need something like that.
As for the minis, I hope they come out with more, especially for stuff like drones.
-
Love the depth that is being offered. Would also like to know the scale of the minis and the quantity of dice and markers. My fears are can CGL deliver all this. Last years Battletech box set sold out at retail almost immediately and is still out of stock at distribution so I still can’t 'play' the game with new, official product. The lack of availability of product has truly hurt many CGL lines and I hope they have learned from it but if they can’t get Battletech, there favorite, right than what hope is there for our red headed step child?

Inquisitive minds over at the Shadowrun Sprawl Ops kickstarter would like to know if my theory is correct, whether the Rogues from Sprawl Ops (as well as some non-backers) are in the Rogues Deck. ;D
I'm only a Veteran so I'm out of luck I fear. ^_^ But it'd still rock for the Rogues if they are in there.
(Also asking this on Facebook btw, if I score an answer there I will post it here.)

Seconded.

3rded, except the paint part. I suck at that.
-
I hope they're like the pre-primed minis you can get from WizKids for PF and DD...great detail and excellent price points.
-
They look to be a harder plastic similar to guild ball or song of fire and ice.
-
I would imagine they are like the miniatures in he Battletech boxes. Those are a design, plastic, and production system that CGL is now familiar with and let’s face it, plastic figures are something that has gone well for CGL in the past.
-
...OK a lot of "fluff", but I am more interested in actual expansions. Really not interested in having to "downgrade" characters to just what is available in the core rules again.
-
In 5e the first expansion books came out 6~12 months later. Wouldn't surprise me to have the same here. Nobody's forcing you to convert now, heck I waited with switching to 5e as well until more stuff came out.
On the bright side: We won't have the 4e scenario repeat, with the first expansion over a year later and Arsenal being >2 years later.
-
We’ve only got the schedule through October...hopefully some additional releases gif Nov/Dec.
-
When are preorders available as I don’t see them. June ain’t exactly far off.
-
We don't know when pre-orders will go up. I am hoping we will see the QSR before the Developer Q&A so we can have a more informed Q&A that would be on the 29th. The rigger dossier goes up on June 5th so it could indicate that that is the first thing we will see as a preview to the QSR and beginners box. The preview is scheduled on June 12th at Origins.
All in all, it is up in the area for exact dates and if PDFs will be released before print books. Your guess is a good as ours.

My local sucks but I may check it out. Non rule books I’m not concerned about getting a pdf/print combo. Print to read/pdf to search rules.
Edit to add over 1600 posts, I have a sickness.
-
I'm interested to see what sort of bundles they put together the Sixth World launch. I've been reasonably impressed with the service out of their online store recently, so even considering buying from them directly if the pricing is decent.
-
I’m all for bundles but most FLGSs need every dollar these days and its hard to convince them to allot shelve space to RPGs (not the same turnover as miniatures, board games, and other aspects of gaming). I would hope that those bundles are offered to retail as well. I know direct sales are better for CGL but without a local meeting place a community has a much harder time growing.

The guy who told me about this game said that the makers tended to release the books in the same order with each edition, which was a problem for him since he wanted to make one of those technomages and the things he was needing for the class weren't in what had been released to that point. He had to quit playing before that book ever came out. I'm hoping we get everything needed to play the various classes in the first year. How likely do you think that is?

...for a home campaign, that's fine. I am still retooling my old 3E campaign to 5e.
I'm more concerned about Missions switching editions in midstream. There we will be required to either re-write our characters or toss them and create new ones to continue after Season 10. I have a couple characters who have run through all 4 Chicago seasons and most of the CMPs. To keep playing a character you like it will end up having to be "downgraded" back to what is only available in the core rules. NT is pretty rough already with the restrictions characters are required to work under and some of what has been presented in later expansions (particularly Run Faster, Run N Gun, Cutting Aces, Kill Code, Street Lethal and BTB) are extremely helpful for running in a more black trenchcoat type setting. They should either stay with 5E for all 4 seasons or just go to an entirely new location setting after season 10.

Good point...even though I'm not a regular at any FLGS, appreciate the need and importance they hold.

I think that basically means local game store.
-
FLGS = Friendly Local Game Store.
FLGD is either a typo, or perhaps "Distributor" instead of Store.

Yeah. Fat fingers, small phone, late night. 🤕

Looks like preorders are starting to go live...CSI has the CRB and Beginner Box Set up now. They also have a placeholder for the LE book(s), but no pricing or images.

I've found some of this on amazon. No place else yet. Haven't found it on drivethrough, or on tier own store yet. For some of these I prefer getting a book/pdf bundle. And its not on the stores where that would be. Also its only crazy expensive shipping options on Amazon. The box set comes out in less than a month, did it instant sell out or was it never put up?
-
In the US Alliance has pre orders for the beginner box, the three versions of the core book, Streetpidea, and no future. Your FLGS can place an order for all of that as of last week

Great. And for those of us who have douche FLGS where do we go. It would be nice if their own store sold it maybe.

They're coming out with dice bags soon, multiple types. My wallet hates them.

I hope they offer a couple of different sizes...SR dice quantities are some...different than other games. ;D

Man, I would love know when preorders open for the Executive Edition. I see that the LE is already up on Amazon. But nothing can be found regarding the Exec Edition of the Core RB.

Yeah while I hate my local store I eventually went because they don’t have these up anywhere. I think the executive edition may have come and gone. They refused to put pre orders up on their store or places like drive through it seems.

I hope it isn’t gone! Contacted my LGS and having them do some digging around. Like you pointed out, maybe the Exec Ed is only available through brick and mortar game store ordering.
-
Or direct from CGL...high priced, limited items may not be as attractive to most retailers. If they haven’t nailed down all the details, they may have also delayed releasing it to the market for solicitation.
-
AJ,
I did look at CGL store and it is not listed, yet. Guess I am really eager and need to wait?

My local store did not see it on alliance as a pre order. I’m not sure if that is because it sold out or because it’s not up yet. I asked him to keep a eye out for it. I’m not expecting much. When I tried to get him to pre order 5e he said he wouldn’t carry it because he thought SR sucked. That plus over hearing behind the counter talk and I Haven’t really been back until 6e. Though this time he did just pre order what he saw without the attitude.
-
I don’t think it’s been released yet. At minimum, I’d expect it to be available for sale direct from CGL and there to be a formal announcement.
