Title: Firing Semi Auto weapons once
Post by: sigfriedmcwild on <08-28-19/2025:15>
So... SA firing mode is described on page 109 as firing 2 shots (specificically by pulling the trigger twice)
Many weapons have a SA firing mode but not an SS firing mode.
Can I fire a single shot (using the SS rules) from a SA weapon?

I think it's safe to assume that SA weapons can fire in SS mode.

It has been noted and passed on to the Errata team to make sure there is clarification on this.

I think it was noted in the the quick start rules, every weapon is assumed to have a SS mode and therefore it didn't need to be written (not a great choice IMO)

Yeah that's a clumsy choice.

Especially since several weapons are in fact given a stat line of SS/SA or even SS/BF (ok, only one of the latter, the Walther Palm Pistol)

Yeah, I'm guessing the SS/SA weapons are from people who had SR5's recoil system in their head. (No recoil on SS.)

Also, it's rather relevant whether SA weapons are SS/SA, or whether you can fire 1 bullet in SA mode, given how it's a Minor at the least to change firing mode. O_O
