Title: Wireless Reaction Enhancers & Wireless Wired Reflexes
Post by: SteakAndSpirits on <08-29-19/2305:18>
When Reaction Enhancers and Wired Reflexes are run in wireless mode, they are compatible with one another (p.287, SR6 BBB).  There is no mention of a maximum bonus to reaction -- the cumulative effect may be up to +8 to Reaction, is that correct?

Or are they subject to an augmented maximum?

They had a special rule in 5e that allowed their combined bonus to Reaction exceed the augmented maximum, so you might encounter players used to that.

There is no such exception given though in 6we.

Okay.  So compatibility is not intended to override the following paragraph found earlier on attributes:  "Various things modify attributes, such as spells and gear, but a character’s adjusted attribute can never be higher than their current attribute rank +4. (pg. 37, SR6 BBB)"

Both Reaction Enhancers and Wireless Reflexes have a rule that says they are incompatible with other augmentations that give bonuses to Reaction.

The Wireless bonus for each one gives a specific exception to THAT rule.  There is no exception given to the augmented maximum rule (again, this is different from 5e where the wireless bonus did give a specific exemption to augmented maximum)
