This might be me being version blind...
In previous editions of SR vehicle armour was sort of hardened (shrugged of hits with a lower damage rating),
Is this still the case?

Haven't seen any mention of 'No stun damage' or 'X damage minimum'.

Itīs worth noting that many Drones and Vehicles have higher body scores now than in 6th Edition. They donīt have that same "all or nothing"-armor rules that made highly armored vehicles pretty much invincible in 5th Edition (and actual combat drones stuck with really bad armor and saok pools in turn...), but they are not in a bad spot when it comes to survivability. Armor plays less of a role, though. Granted, many Drones and Vehicles have pretty high Armor Scores, so their DR is often high enough to deny Edge or even earn Edge for themselfes when attacked.
Itīs also worth noting that itīs somewhat (https://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=30057.0) unclear/ambgious IF autonomous Drones and vehicles can earn and use Edge for themselves and how tactical they can work with it. I really hope no one from CGL and/or the Errata the is dropping the ball on this and clarifies that they canīt, because that would really taint the whole premise of the Edge system...
Finally, itīs also worth noting that the DR of Drones and vehicles is not based on Body + Armor, but on the Piloting Skill (or the Maneuvering Autosoft) + Armor. Itīs easy to overlook, I almost missed it. So depending on whoīs driving, a Steel Lynx usually has a DR of 16 to 22, and potentially more if the driver is really good. Itīs still ridiculously high, but not always at 28 as I first thought.

There's no mention of vehicles/drones having the benefit of hardened armor. They might via errata or a future Rigger book option, but for now absence of a rule sure looks like absence of the benefit.
Vehicles and stun is something we're working on, however. That should be cleared up in the next wave of errata.
