Will Catalyst consider re-releasing the older Shadowrun editions (first, second and third), adventures, source books and supplements on PDF format for sale? It would save me shelf space lol. Think Catalyst would stand to recoup a fair bit of cash for little actual cost in development (the products already exist) and production (little needed as they are digital). Cheers

You mean like these: http://www.shadowrun4.com/products/out-of-print-books/ (http://www.shadowrun4.com/products/out-of-print-books/)

Yea i've already had a look at the page and it does contain alot of useful products, the same as BattleCorps and DriveThruRPG offer a good range. But it's also a incomplete range. My question was (and I admit it should have been alot more clear) are Catalyst going to release all preiviously released and out of print books in addition to those already released for First, Second and Third editions of Shadowrun???
-
Ah, much different question.
-
Sorry for the confusion, I'd just finished work and I should type when tired lol.
-
It would be nice to get some of the old books
-
We've been trying to keep a steady pace of classic releases, and we plan to continue to do so. Whether we can get them all is another question--one that involves tearing books apart, scanning them, OCRing them, etc. It's possible, of course, but takes time.

OCR'd Classic Shadowrun books. Them I'd buy!
Might have to budget in for Street Samurai Catalog and Fields of Fire! I loves me my Gun and Car Porn! Hopefully the Rigger's Black Book comes out soon!
-
It would be good to get hold of them, lot's of good plot points and love in those books, shame for them to not get a second lease at life :)
-
Hehehehe. HAHAHAHAHAHA ;D
PDFs are nice, though having to read them via computer screen is draining on the eyes. I picked up a Nook Color for X-Mas and have been loading alot of them to that for mobility, but it's still not the same as having a book.

I have a laser printer and a bulk box of paper. I just need sheet condoms and a binder, and I can make PDFs into my own books. Of sorts, they're quite large and bulky.

Been there, done that. Printed out all of 2nd Edition D&D's Planescape books about 4 years ago. Recently I gave them all to a friend of mine since they were taking up too much space. Now my printed Shadowrun and 3rd Edition D&D books are in that space and I'm all the happier.

Too bad the old girl is slowly dying. She's been a real trooper, printing out books and working for a start-up company that...
Bad memories. Let's not go any further. Anyhow, no more books for me until a replacement.

Start-up company? Starting to wonder about that 'Age:N/A'.

How much money are we looking at per download of the older materials?

Cool. :)
Any chance some of the older locations books will be making a return visit? Thinking of Denver: City of Shadows in particular.

I had asked JMH about this a while back and got a hopeful reply. Any updates, Mr. Hardy?

Nothing new this second. We have a number of possibilities for the future. I should say, though, that if we're going to release a Denver-oriented product in the near future, having some classic Denver stuff to go with it would be nice.

I had been wondering if there was going to be a new book on that locale. Seemed like it would have been useful for doing Missions: Season 2, which I'm currently running and would love more 'current' info for.
