Are there Rules in SR6 to use improvised weapons? Would any improvised weapon be treated as an exotic weapon?
Im thinking of situations where you
use a throwing knife to cut somebody,
sap someone unconsciuous with your pistolgrip,
grabbing a brick and throwing it into someone,
break a chair and wield one of its legs.
Is this all GM descision or any rules available?
While typing this down I realised the chairleg example could be done with Club, CRB p. 248 and using close combat as skill:
'CLUB The stats listed can be used for a range of objects, including an axe handle, baseball bat, crowbar, tire iron, wrench, or even a two-by-four with a couple nails in it.'
Same for the throwing knife - could be used as a Knife CRB p.247, also close combat.
How to resolve the other ones?
Pistolgrip = Sap and Close Combat attack?
Brickthrow is the trickiest, I think.
I would roll Athletics+Agi for the throw, damage according to fling CRB p. 140 'Stun damage equal to kilograms of weight, rounded up' ?
I have no Idea what AR I would assume for a brick to compare vs DR of the target...
What examples come to your mind, that could be tricky to solve?

Athletics for throwing weapons and Unarmed Combat for sticks, saps and such. Damage is whatever's closest in size and/or weight.

Close combat skill (not Unarmed combat skill)

Close combat skill (not Unarmed combat skill)
Sorry, my typo from being distracted iRL

No special rules for improvised weapons, thank goodness. Whatever’s closest
