I know I ready it sonewhere, I just can't see to find it again.

In which sourcebook does Richard Villier and NeoNet part way? I know it was one of the later 5e book, but I don't remember which one.

Try checking in one of these:

Street Lethal;
The Complete Trog;
Kill Code; or
Better Than Bad.

I don't think it was any earlier than what's covered in these.

It was the "Monads and CFD" chapter in Dark Terrors (p.70), specifically the "Fall of a Giant" section (p.80).

Figures - the one recent book I omitted. I honestly thought it was after Dark Terrors, though.
