I'm not sure what the intent is in terms of allowing these together
the Synaptic Booster says ".. cannot be combined with any other form of Initiative Enhancement"
and the Suprathyroid boosts reaction by a point.
Reaction Enhancers are counted as Initiative Boosters...
-
work together just fine, suprathyroid gland isn'n't an iniative enchament even if it does gives a +1 to iniative from the reaction boost.
-
You also have Tailored Pheromones to boost Charisma (SR4A 346), and Cerebral Booster to up Logic (SR4A 347). I thought there was an Intuition Boost, but I am not seeing it right now.

Tailored Pheromones dont boost charisma, they just give a dicepool bonus to charisma and social skill tests.
Also i think you posted in the wrong thread ;)

Getting bad about that. I don't know if my browser is caching old information when I try to post or if I am just incredibly senile already. I'll try and find the proper thread in which to post my semi-relevant information.

Yeah, the "Initiative Enhancement" clause is for extra passes. It's to keep someone from stacking IP boosters to get as many passes as the heavily-restrictive and restricted options allow.
-
Reaction Enhancers count too, but they're a special case.

thanks everyone

Am I the only one that started getting hungry when Suprathyroid Glands are being talked about?

Do you get hungry when reading Gray's Anatomy, too?
-
Actually, almost any action makes me hungry... I'm surprised I'm not a stereotypical North American and 300-lbs. yet. :P

Which implies you're either one or the other. I'm guessing the latter. ;)
-
Actually, neither. Oh, I'm overweight, but not obese.
And I'm far too rude and loud to be a "Typical Canadian".
-
The difference between being over weight and obese is as simple as a few inches in height. The determination is height compared to weight.
-
Luckily, I'm tall. :P

Hey I take pride in my big American-ness! Though my family doesn't have any 300lbers, we're all around 6'4"-6'6" and ~250lbs (we're all orks and trolls over here)... I blame it on all that Scandinavian, Scottish, and Russian blood flowing through the family tree. My progeny will all be shorter if my wife's genes has anything too say about it.

What, did they shrink in the wash?

6'5" and 250 here - I was the shortest of my brother ;) They loved me at infantry school - took one look and handed me an M60E3, heh. Wife is short, but my son looks to be taking after me in height at least.
-
My wife's family is closer to average height, but the men tend to be barrel-chested and muscular like forklifts (my uncle-in-law picked up a wall piano by himself and put it in a box truck - I've got a million of those stories).
They didn't love my height in the Army became as a pilot they want shorter smaller people and my sitting height surpassed all the regs... I had to get special clearance papers and a check ride with a full bird saying things like "Good gosh son I've never seen anyone fill a cockpit like that before."
I seem to always go through computer chairs because most have that dumb 235lb limit on them and those that are designed for "Big and Tall" just take longer to fall apart (warranties are gold for me)...
-
I'm one of the shortest in my family, and we tend towards the wiry end of strength, focusing on endurance and sheer willpower for strength.
However, we really, really, really like our beer, which doesn't help much late in life. :P
There's also other issues that affect me personally.
