I'm new to Shadowrun and I've been playing this character for the past month. I've only spent karma on Hacking (6) and Pistols (3). The group I'm playing with is either new to Shadowrun or has little experience with Hackers, so I don't really have anyone to learn from. Are there any egregious errors or missing attributes I should take? (We also have a rigger.)

PS: I can't buy it with Karma, but I was just reading how useful the Spoof Program would be.

I believe that codeslinger is sapposed to be a certain program (like exploit for example). Natural Hardening is a good quality too. Spoof is also a good idea. Some possible cyberware for a hacker: Simsense booster, Math SPU, Encephalon (level 1 or 2), Data filter just to name a few.  I personally don't like the idea of putting a comlink in your head. In previous editions it made sense because walking around with a keyboard automatically pointed you out as the decker. Now that everyone has a comlink its not so bad. Plus there is still a fear of technomancers and if you're surfing the matrix without a visible comlink, the public might think you are one (bringing you unwanted attention). Also, if your cranial comlink gets fried, you need surgery, you can't just run out and pick up a new one. Anyway, just my thoughts, overall not a bad starting character.  :)
Edit: Oh, and modify your comlink for hot sim- it's a good thing  ;)
