Title: weaponsmith
Post by: Ten-Hex on <05-02-11/1139:56>
Here's the framework for an adept I'm working on partly inspired by 4th world weaponsmiths, meant to serve primarily as a close-quarters combatant with secondary gear customization and long-range fire support skills. I'm not going to post the background with it; it takes too long, I don't really need suggestions for the fluff, and I only make backgrounds about 75% complete until the character is going in to an actual campaign to make it easier to adapt.

Any suggestions or thoughts on the design would be great. I purposely spent the extra for Magic 6 even though it isn't the most efficient. He'll have enough karma needs with other things, so I wanted to max that out and be able to forget it for a while.

Horribly clishee, but not bad O.o

Because he's a craft-oriented dwarf?

I dig using dwarves because it's my impression they're underappreciated and under-utilized in many SR gaming groups. This could be adapted to pretty much any race.

yah, 'cause he's a dwarven weapon/blacksmith . . he's only missing an axe O.o
But that's not neccessarely bad. i love dwarves as characters too . .
if i did not have to live with hearing all of those short jokes, small gags, little plays on words and tiny cracks on my behalf, i'd be playing dwarves way more than Trolls . .
see? i did it four times just like that in that one single sentence! now multiply that by about 10 and you get what i'd have to endure every time i play one of them ^^

I like that Character a lot (even though I'm not a "Dwarfes Man"v I prefer either Trolls or Hobbits )
I will "Steal" Him as a NPC for whenever the Chars are in Asia (with only minor changes)

with a very fond Dance

Well, to be honest he's also missing a 'stone', or 'axe', or 'hammer' in part of his name.  Well maybe since a name wasn't given :)

Easy with the dwarf jokes, fellas... with your posts adjacent he can charge and attack you both in one action with 15+ dice pools (barring any boosted agility).   :P

Well, i do like the IDEA of dwarves . . it's just . . they are too damn small for propper respect <.<;,
I wish Trolls and Dwarves had been portrayed exactly the same, just with the size switched out . .
The one thing that's scary about dwarves is the fact that they can underrun a defence and go for the knees.

They get a -1 D to be Hit by Firearms but they're handicapped in Melee
Mostly any other Race has the advantage of Superior Position (+2 D to Attack)
So much for the Crunchy Part

with a Dance in superior Position

And Trolls get the Superior Position against Anything but Centaurs?
And Giants get the Superior Position against Anything and Centaurs?
