Well, I figured this board might also have some people who find use for this...
The German versions of Arsenal and Augmentation contain some extra gear, which unlike the old and somewhat infamous German-only gear was actually developed in cooperation with the American publisher and got (had to get, matter of fact) CGL's approval before printing.
Unfortunately, the plans for making these extras available to people across the pond never materialized. So in a random act of kindness (and to brush up my LaTex skills :D) I made a little PDF containing all that extra stuff, hope you will find it useful: http://www.scribd.com/doc/57595963/German-extra-content
EDIT: Changing hosts currently, check out http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?showtopic=35605 for updates
EDIT2: OK, looks like it will be pdfcast. The new link hereby officially is http://pdfcast.org/pdf/germanstuff
As usual, please tell me if you find any errors/typos/whatever.

Very nice Sengir. THanks for sharing.
-
Thanks muchly! Was curious about all the German stuff we don't get to see.
-
See?
Dumpshockers ain't ALL bad . .
-
Any chance of the updated stuff from War? I know theres a couple of spells changes but not sure what else?
-
Unfortunately that's all I know, too. Tycho posted a list of proposed changes (http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?showtopic=35097&view=findpost&p=1077886) over on DS, but so far I've not seen a list of all changes which did indeed make it into the book.

Just a quick note: You can find some of the pics of the German stuff detailed in that file on my Deviant Art page.

As you might have noticed, there are links to those pics I found in the pdf ;)
Anyway, since scribd has decided that downloading a document from them should be more complicated than getting a filedump of S-K's mainframe, I have to head for a new host. Until I am sure what the new permanent host will be, best head to http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?showtopic=35605. I'll keep the OP of that thread updated with any new links

So, seeing as Bull likes it, can the German gear be "official" for players in Missions?
:)
-k

Since that gear has been built using the rules of Arsenal (no German uberweapons), it should be.
-
Is some of that stuff from SR3? Kinda seems familiar...

Why are people going German errata this, German errata that? The simplest answer to this to me is to just go by this: The German errata is not released here in America, and thus it does not apply to those of us here. See? Simple. No need to learn another language or hunt down all sorts of foreign book copies or anything like that.
-
You have a name which does not comply with your statements, All4BigGuns. THE GERMAN STUFF HAS BIG GUNS!!!!!
XD :P

Because the German errata corrects problems that have been in the English releases since its launch and we're long overdue for erratas for a number of English books. They also add content that has been approved for release by Catalyst but never gets distributed to the English player base through any means.

Or maaaaybe we should expect the actual product developers to step up to the plate and do what a third party is already doing for them, or at least ask to use what the German company does and CGL approves for pete's sake.

Maybe it's a conspiracy to make us all learn German!!!

(They're on to us, Herrmann)

And here I was about to waste my time learning Spanish!

Ach! Mein Leben!
Sorry, all my German comes from either beer names or Wolfenstein 3D.

I get all mine from Young Frankenstein.

Just as long as you don't get it from "Berlin level" DLC from Call of Duty ... *shudder*

I get all mine from Young Frankenstein.
I cried (from laughing) when I found out what the lady's name translated to, and thus why the horses whinnied every time someone said it.

Blücher does not mean glue.
-
I thought it roughly worked out to 'glue factory', but it's been awhile.
EDIT: Did a google search, and that's funny. What can I say, when I was alot younger I took things at face value. It was hard not to before the internet :D

Thank you for sharing this material.

Thanks for sharing. Any chance of you releasing the errata found in the German books (and in some of the newest US books) since CGL seems to be a little slow (4 years and counting in some cases)?
-
Appreciate the pdf. Some of it does in fact look familiar because it was in Used Car Lot (troll chopper, Enkil, a couple more). I don't think I've seen the other stuff though.

Putting the "Compiled Tables" sections (ah, the glory days when that section was still worth its name...) side-by-side and checking what names are new is one thing. Checking every page of a book to see what is new and what is merely translated is a _tiny_ bit more work, I don't think I'll get around to do that, sorry ;)
