Its another miserable day in Seattle where the rain won't quite decide whether or not to come down and just hangs in air clinging to your damn clothes. At about three PM your commlink receives a message from a familiar code,
Hey there chummer, got a job for ya. Meet at the bar, 7 PM and don't be late. RedE EdE
Seven PM rolls around and Ready Eddy's Bar and Grill is as turbulent and seedy as ever. Two orks are fighting in the corner (you'd swear they never leave) and the walls seems to have gotten another coat of bloody gore red paint in the past week. When Ready sees you, he waves you toward the back room.
Heading into the back room, you find yourself looking at a older dwarf. Hair rings the giant bald patch on his head, and he's wearing a pair of brown stained overalls that smell distinctly like they were dragged through a set of stables. He gives you a once over and begins his offer,
"Have I got a job for you. It's short and simple. I need you to extract Tinks for me. She'll be unwilling, but then again they always are when you're keeping them caged up anyway. They'll have her in Isolation Cell A at this address. Usually there are about three guards on duty as well as someone running the cameras. The job needs to be done by tomorrow. I'll pay you 28k, split however you want, 7 upfront. Any questions?"
-
Najateh looked at the dwarf. 28K was as far as she could tell not bad for a job like this, even if they had to split it seven ways. But first they need a bit more information. First of all a simple matrix search on the adress, to see what exactly is there that it has isolation cells. And next came another look, this time in the astral to check out Mr. J.
assensing (intuition 4 + assensing 2 + improved perception 1=7): 7d6.hits(5)=3 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3102452/)
-
"4k after the split!" Boosts thought to herself. That was almost a whole month's rent, keeping her from worrying about moving back home for another 30 days. BUT - it also put her almost halfway to that new set of smart tires she wanted to get for Faye. Thoughts of thousands of myomeric rods extending and contracting as she guided Faye into a 90 degree turn: the feel of the road, the throb of the engine, filled Boosts' mind. OR - 4k would allow for a sweet night out at the clubs. She cold be plantanas out on the floor.
Aye, you ain't earned it yet," Boosts thought. "Play it like a pro." She takes off her cap and smoothes her hair.
"Who exactly has this Tinks?," she asked the J. "What sort of hardware should we be expecting the security to have? Pretty heavy, eh? Otherwise you wouldn't need seven to go after four."
She'll also cue up a map of the address and surrounding neighborhood from her Mapsoft, keeping the info up in AR .
(OOC, I am assuming that mapsofts operate like an advanced Google Map - you see a satellite photo, points of interest, maybe a street view. If I am wrong and need to do some data searching let me know.)
-
[He seems on edge, He's definitely mundane, and He has some high grade headware implants.]
Bringing up the address you find that it belongs to the Redmond/Bellevue Neighborhood Zoo Project, slated to open in 2073. The mapsoft of the area brings you to the same conclusion.
"You shouldn't be worried about the security much, mostly donut munchers with some pistols and vests. Definitely not high grade security. I need the seven of you to make sure you get Tinks out alright. She's a white tiger, not an albino, an actual white. It goes without saying, I don't want her hurt. Do you have the means to knock her out? Keep in mind, she won't stay out long."
-
A thin figure in a urban camo and a face concealing helmet joined the group silently, waiting till he could follow in the shadow of someone bigger, and sat amongst them at the meeting. He entered quietly without a word.

After a brief struggle with himself, deciding whether to join the fray with the two fighting Orks or seeing about getting a job, Rafa walked towards the back room and listened with his arms crossed over his chest.
The money sounded pretty good, a lot more than could be earned picking on smaller gangs nowadays. After the recent bloodbaths, the easy pickings had died so that by now the only targets left were battle hardened and always prepared.
A tiger huh? He wondered for a moment if he would get a chance to wrestle it, sure sounded like a lot of fun trying. Nah, no such luck he figured, some gas or electroshocks would knock it out easy.
"Sounds like a lot of fun, hombre. And if things go wrong, at least you'll have a nice carpet to remember this by.", he said with a smug grin on his face.
Hiring seven guys for a job like this did seem a bit much, but probably they weren't all as awesome as he was himself.
-
Befor Nowa went into the backroom he ordered a beer from the barman. A little bit of fuel for the upcoming run, he thought. Maybe later join the two orks who are fighting in the corner of the bar. In the backroom, Nowa takes a seat and listen to the dwarf...
Okay, not harming the tiger. How do we get a tiger to cooperate? This will be the problem for one of the smarter guys in this team, I think. What about the guards.... dropping them in one of the other tiger or poisonous reptile cage would be fun. A deadly smile flash over Nowa's face.
"Do you mind when something more ... deadly ... happen to the guards?", Nowa ask the dwarf and add a "Mr.J", remembering some of this things Emilio told him about manners and this boring stuff.
When Nowa heard the last comment from the other runer he also ask:"Oh, how many tigers are there?" Nowa won't mind if they steal more than one of this beast, a new carpet for his home would be nice, too.
-
Boosts' eyes widened. "Tigre Blanco! That thing is not ruining my upholstery," she thought. Suddenly 4K didn't quite feel like enough. She hoped that whoever was the negotiator at the table would get to haggling soon. While she waits she is going going to run a few quick data searches on both the tiger and the zoo project. Boosts wants to know who they are going to piss off when she burns rubber pulling away with a sleeping kitty in the back.

7:12 am
Every day it was the same. Wake up, stretch, shower, shave, and stare at the face peering from the other side of the fogged mirror. A faced that lived a life he no longer remembered. The reflected grin seemed mocking.
He dreamt of flame and a voice that seemed to get stronger in his waking hours.
Today, his "clinic" would be at an abandoned diner a few blocks past Touristville. He was getting nowhere with the people of the Plastic Jungles, so he'd help those who wanted his help.
The well-worn jumpsuit felt right, and he slipped on a white coat before securing his firearm. The jacket could hide the machine pistol he kept in a quick-draw holster, but he stashed it in the medkit along with a few other supplies he felt might come in handy.
He left his apartment without looking back.
----
3:04 pm
He smiled, "I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way..."
The gangly ork child looked up at him, "No it does, doc! You shoot your gun twice, but only the first shot's free of recoil!--"
"Alright, alright, I'll take your word on it." He held up his hands placatingly, "I bow to your Battlefield of Duty expertise. Now help your mom carry your water so we can make sure it's safe for you and your newest brothers and sisters."
Triumphantly, the child ran out and came back dragging both his mother, all of seventeen herself, along with her newest litter and a shopping cart full of bottled water. Buckets of Sterilized and Cleaned water and soap was available outside for washing bottles (inside and out). Then they could load it up with whatever they had on tap.
He smiled at the young mother, and pulled a breath through the astral and Sterilized the gallons of water. And the family's exteriors along with it. With a smaller breath, the water inside bubbled clean. A rudimentary check of the babies showed they were in decent enough health. Whatever food she was getting was getting to the kids as well. He didn't dare cast Nutrition on her, she had the telltales of an addictive personality and he didn't want to think about the consequences of her passing the magical nourishment through her milk.
She offered to pay, again, with a decent 'meal'. At her home. He refused, politely and reminded her and her boisterous sons to return in two weeks for another checkup. He gave them an updated commcode for his latest cheap 'link, in case of emergencies.
The Watcher Spirit floated just inside the diner, repeating "Please take a seat and the doc will see you shortly. If it's an emergency, please yell," in the form of an analog counting device he didn't even know the name of. It wasn't as packed as before, mostly checkups.
He walked out and said, "Next!"
A jittery elf boy, probably a teen, stood up and walked towards him. His eyes were averted and he rushed into the kitchen. From the limp the boy tried to hide, he knew the cause right away. All traces of a smile vanished as he scanned the crowd and found a face similar to the boy's, just outside, peering in. Swaggering and so sure he was being judged, knowing he was better... He had known guys like that before, and he twitched to fold the mana swirling about him now into a simple lightning bolt.
But it wouldn't do any good. It wouldn't change things for the boy. And he'd scare his patients.
So he looked away and checked his inbox. Just one message.
He replied: I'll be there. Save me a drink.
---
6:55 pm
He walked in, mood as foul as the weather was. Nodding to Eddy, he picks up his beer and downs it in a gulp.
In the back room he nods to those already inside, recognizing some by reputation.
In response to the Dwarf, "I can stunbolt the thing if it's about wake up. Tranqs would be better, and safer."
-
A little late for the party, as usual, Pig lopes into the backroom just in time to catch the 28k comment... a pitcher of cheap in one hand and a carton of powdered breakfast pastries in the other.
{4k to grab a tiger... that's rent, a payment to the Vory, some ink, maybe some real bacon...}
Snacking on his breakfast pastries and slugging back the first pint of cheap, he couldn't hold back a bit of a spit take (spraying beer, powdered sugar, and packaged processed soy proteins onto the floor of Ready Eddy's back room).
"Simple is good, easy is good," he says, pulling a fresh breakfast pastry from the carton, "but why would we need, or want, to drop some donut munching security guards into a pit of vipers? Do you know what sort of attention that will bring on us? It's bad enough that we're going to go snag a tiger from under their noses, but bodies means Knight Errant while a stolen tiger might mean all we have to deal with is the donut munchers... better to just leave them KOed and hog-tied in a backroom somewhere," before popping the pastry into his mouth and wiping the pwdered sugar from his fingers under the tabletop.
"I don't mean to be the nervous Pervis here, but could you expand a little on 'Simple'? Just how do you expect us to walk out with a tranqed tiger and not draw gunships full of attention? It's never just a couple of donut munchers, there's got to be cameras, motion sensors, some of that mystic mumbo-jumbo security, and all that what-have-you. If it were going to be as easy as just getting past a couple of card-playing desk watchers, you'd be bribing one of them to get your Tinks instead of talking to us. What are we really looking at here?"
{At least I'll be able to make a good-faith to the Vory before I'm found dead in a tiger cage}
-
"I can take her out without any problem," Najateh said, "Get me within shooting range and I drop her without any problem. A dart loaded with Slab and she's out, no problem. Just need to know the weight to get the dose right. I've done this before, brining in critters alive."
4000 a person, I think to myself, sounds like quite a lot for such a simple job. One has to wonder where the catch is.
"Well, Mr. J.," I said to the dwarf, "in principle I have no problem doing the job. There's just a couple of ... let's say minor details to work out. First: where's the delivery adress? There's bound to be a response once we leave. There always is. So I would like to know where we have to go. Second, there's seven of us. Seems like a lot for a simple snatch and grab. So we might want to discuss the price a little further. Assuming everybody is in, of course?"
-
The helmeted figure just nods, happy to let the others Iron out details.

[I might be going crazy here, haven't dealt with hacking a lot in 4E, but don't matrix actions just use Program + Skill with no attribute?
The Redmond/Bellevue Neighborhood Zoo Project is funded by several local charities and groups (Barrens Reconstruction Effort [B.R..E], Humanity Opposed to Political Evasion [H.O.P.E.], and No More Hell [N.M.H.]). There are no corporation ties that you can find, in fact the mission seems to be that the groups can make the world better without corporate help. The zoo is mostly constructed, but is not fully stocked at the moment. Most of the more exotic animals are still in isolation being screened for disease.
Tinks is one of the few White Tigers left in North America. They're was a spread of disease that caused the females to be born infertile and destroyed the species reproduction. There are less than one hundred world wide and only eight females that can currently reproduce. She is meant to be one of the main attractions once the zoo opens next month.
The dwarf stares at the door for a moment as though something caught his eye then shakes it off. He starts off looking at Nowa.
"I don't care what you do with guards as long as it doesn't get back to me. As for the simplicity of the matter, I know there is no magic on the scene yet. I...I worked there up until last week. Magical security doesn't start until next month a week before opening."
He moves his eyes to Pig as he grins,
"Right now most of the security is meant to keep things in rather than things out. I know the guy watching the cams can run a drone, but the only one on scene is loaded up with tranqs and meant to take animals down if they get loose. I can't bribe them, because they'll just turn me in for the reward afterward."
Finally coming to other side of the table, he gives a nod to Doc in response to the stubolt, and addresses Critter.
"I'm hiring the seven of you because our mutual friend Eddy made sure their were enough vehicles and skill between the lot of you to make sure Tinks gets to me without any damage or trace. The pickup point will be further into Redmond, I can't give more than that until the extraction happens because it will be mobile until that point if you understand."
He returns his attention to the room as a whole, before continuing.
"Here's a toss away link you can reach me on. Assuming everyone agrees on the job, what are your issues with the price? I pers...holy shit. Didn't anyone ever tell ya its rude to pop out of the shadows like that."
He seems to have lost his train of though for a moment, startled by the helmeted figures sudden movement.
"I personally found it quite generous."

You are totally right about that. Brain fart on my part. I haven't done a lot of hacking in 4E either. If it's alright by you, I'll just ignore the last two dice on each roll keeping the 6 hits on Tinks and dropping to 8 hits on the Zoo project.)
Boosts eyes the blue guy up and down, uncomfortable with his talk of killing guards. What did they call him around the place? Oni? Maybe she would steer clear of winding up alone with him at any part of the job. Everyone else seemed ok, even señor misterioso in the corner with the helmet on. Spooky, but ok
"Oh, I'm in," she says when Najateh asks. Then to the Johnson, "What happens to Tinks tomorrow that this has to be done ASAP? I can get a box van in less than a minute, but this ain't a lot of planning time. Not complaining, comprende? Just wondering. Curiosity and cat going together is all."
She leans back in her chair, smiling at (what she perceives) is her own cleverness
-
"I have prior engagements elsewhere. The time constraint is on my end, not Tinks'."
-
So no big corp connection, means no big trouble with KE. I'm in. Nowa didn't try to negotiate with the J. since Emilio once told him that Nowa isn't a people person. Nowa couldn't quite remember if it was before or after he broke the arms of this gang leader with whom Nowa was talking about some turf bargain.
-
{No mystic security? Consider this a cakewalk}
"I'm in. Do you have a com signal we can get in touch with you at when we wrap things up, or just in case things go all pear shaped on us?"
{Life as an honest citizen was beginning to look less desirable... Maybe the Vory had this 'life of crime' bit figured out.}

"I'm in." The voice was bland and monotone no real accent.

The dwarf stares at the door for a moment as though something caught his eye then shakes it off. He starts off looking at Nowa.
. I...I worked there up until last week. Magical security doesn't start until next month a week before opening."
"If you worked there not too long ago, maybe you could draw us a map or something of the place. Also, what sort of surveillance and physical security: maglocks, sensors, etc. we gonna run into. How's their garage? Maybe there is a vehicle at the place designed for moving animals? hmm?
Boosts was hoping someone other than her could get doors open, while maybe - maybe - she could spoof the tranq firing drones into taking out the guards. Also something about the way the J was talking made her nervous - like he wanted to sell the animal, or maybe he was in love with it and wanted some alone time with Tinks. He did say he was fired. "Perv," she thought.
She took a much longer look at him (OCC: judging intentions here. Intuition 4 +Charisma 4 (8d6.hits(5)=1 hit) (http://(8d6.hits(5)=1 hit)). Lame, this is why she sticks to cars.)
-
[He placed a disposable commlink when he was talking about the price.]
"I can't swing any more money, but I can manage to get you 50 knockout darts designed for a Heavy Pistol and about two dozen doses of Cram if it will help sweeten the deal," he replies to Critter.
"As for the map, there is one on the commlink and a way to reach me once you have Tinks. I know there is a maglock system park wide planned, but it wasn't slated to be online for another week and a half. Until then, everything is strictly old school mechanical secured. The camera's at the compound are set up for Thermo to help notice escaped animals, and the whole thing is protected by an electrified security fence with a gate at each parking lot. I honestly couldn't begin to guess about the garage, I'm a Vet, I worked in the animal clinic." You can tell he wasn't trying to keep secrets so much as just overwhelmed with information and not sure what was wanted.
Map of the Zoo (http://imageshack.us/f/41/zooq.png/)

"This service road, over on the right, where does that meet up with the main and how well patrolled is it?" Pig asked, sending himself the file from the disposable before sliding it back to the middle of the table, "And who does the security? There's a world of difference between the men and the boys when it comes to security firms and it'll go a lot smoother for everyone if we know exactly what we're getting into before we get in it."
{With any luck, Mari will know something or somebody at the sec crew and this will be a cakewalk}
Not waiting for an immediate answer he continues on, "Regular routes, coffee breaks, shift changes? Anything about the human element you can fill us in on. Besides the obvious entry guards, where does sec operate out of?"
Not wanting to fluster Johnson with too many questions again, Pig grabs another pastry, shakes some of the powder off and pops it into his mouth.
{I can almost taste that bacon already}
-
"I think the security force is Brinson or Brenson or Brinsine...definitely starts with a B and isn't one of the big ones. The road comes out one intersection down, it isn't usually manned at night, but has three sensor chekpoints and more cams than most of the park put together. I really don't know anything more about the guards...I think...usually one patrols between the gates...but it seems to change depending on the night and the crew."
-
Boosts nods at all the information, trying to seem calm, trying to see professional. However her feet start working imaginary pedals, her fingers twitch. She wants the yakkity-yak to stop. It isn't nerves, but anticipation, she wants the run, jungle cat or no jungle cat. Her mind is full of possible ins and outs, switchbacks and ditched cars.
She takes a breath.
"What about the other vets? Their names, their addresses, more importantly their cars?"she asks. "Get some Access IDs, a spoof here or there, just drive in. C'mon chica, keep it simple," she thinks to herself.
While waiting she will try and calm herself by looking over the map of the zoo and the surrounding area again. Trying to chart two or three ways of getting in and out that join up with the service road and would keep them out of sight of most KE interceptors.
(ooc intuition 4 + Back alley/Short cuts knowledge skill 3(7d6.hits(5)=1) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3104631/). I didn't know if I got a Mapsoft rating bonus here or not, so I didn't include it.)
-
"Thermo-Sensors and mechanical locks will be no problem for me, I have the gear. Neither will their eyes. Do we have a map of the building Tinks is in? I cannot handle a Firearm but I can remove the guards and allow you entry."
-
"I don't have any of the building schematics. The isolation cages are in a Warehouse like building though in between the four animal care buildings. As for the other vets, they are out of town for a seminar in Vegas. They have assistants, but I couldn't begin to tell you their names. I only paid attention to my assistant and he was let go at the same time."
[The easiest route you find is actually going up the main road. There is road construction between it and the service road, and the traffic cameras should be down there. The area doesn't really have a strong K.E. presence (you suspect this will change when it opens), and the only real local hotspot is a donut shop about twelve blocks away from the service road.]
-
"I can agree with your terms," Najateh said, while looking to the others. They would have to agree as well.
"I do have a couple of questions concerning Tinks," she said next "First is the weight of the tiger, as close as you know it."
As vet he had to know that she needed to get the dose of the tranquilizer just right and all those things depended on body weight and also a bit on the type of animal, but she knew how to correct for that.
"Next is the medical history," she continued, "Any allergies and stuff? I'd rather not put her under slab to find out she's allergic to it and died. The last question is related: is the tiger awakened?"
-
All this questions start to get on Nowa's nerves, if this was going on, they will be in this room for the next two hours and also his beer was slowly empty.
"Oh man, we do not want to operate but only stun the Tigers. The small Johnson here give us the knockout darts and me and my Ares will shoot the beast with as much darts as fit into a clip! If it kills the tiger, it's his fault. Nowa waved at the Johnson.
-
"You don't just shoot the animal," Najateh said to Nowa, "you make sure you get the dose of the tranquilizer correct, or you have either a dead animal or an enraged animal. And besides, it isn't because you have darts that you also have the stuff you have to put into the darts. Shooting empty darts isn't going to do much good."
Najateh considered herself a professional hunter, and whether the animal had to be dead or alive, she wanted to do it with one shot.
-
"Y' know, we just put Najateh in the cage and wait until the tiger falls asleep from boredom.", Rafa said in a tone that somewhere between bored and joking.
He shrugged.
"Go in, take out the guards, get the tiger and get out. How friggin' hard can it be, esse? Tigers breathe, right? Toss some gas in the cage, count to ten, take the kitten."
So this was what shadowrunning was all about? Grabbing some furry pet for a dwarf who looked like he wouldn't last a second in the streets he grew up in?
Man, this would be easy money; just buying groceries in his neighborhood had more potential danger than this job.
Let's get going already, maybe I'll be in back home in time to have some fun with Lita.
-
Najateh choose to ignore this and wait for the Johnson to reply to her questions. At least he would understand the reason for her questions, at least if he was what he said he was.
-
Boosts tried to stop her disapproving grimace at the drek coming from Oni and Rafa's mouth, but failed. She kicked herself for showing her emotions. These fools were were making them look stupid in front of the Johnson, talking about killing the one thing they were not supposed to kill, cracking stupid jokes at each other. These two seemed like they were straight Matchbox. She was itching to get going too, who the hell cared what the tiger weighed, right? Still Najateh had earned them some bumps of Cram and spoke like she knew what she was doing, so Boosts was going to give her a bit more of time.
"Hurry it up, girl,"she thought.
-
The dwarf pulls another commlink from his pocket and after a moment the toss away on the table beeps.
"There, you have an entire medical file on Tinks, accurate to last week. It gives the maximum safe dosage for most well known tranquilizers as well. If you get close enough to the Tiger, it's chip will read onto the link with updates that have occurred recently. She has no known allergies and is not awakened. If she dies, I WILL NOT pay you."
The dwarf pockets his commlink and looks at an old pocket watch, "Well if that's all agreeable, I must be going. You can reach me on the commlink with any additional questions."
-
As the Johnson walks away, Pig thumbs away at his commlink briefly before looking around the booth once more.
@Mari: What can you tell me about Brinson, Brenson, or Brinsine Security? Whichever one of them has the security contract at the Redmond Zoo.
Do we know anyone friendly on the inside there?
--Pig
(I'll leave the dice rolls to you for this Crash, Mari is the former owner of Marigold Security and a now retired spider, stats and skills at your discretion).
"Okay, stunbolt," he says in the direction of Doc Uzi, "Can you do us all a quick favor and do an astral fly by of the zoo? I'm not buying this 'No mystic security' claim and want a second opinion before we get too committed to any one plan. If you can get close enough, take a good look at the fence, the cameras, the sec team, whatever you can get your eyes on."
Reaching into his jacket, Pig pulls out his trusty Crusader, and switches clips out before placing it back into the shoulder holster it clearly came out of, never stopping his comments but shifting to a more general address to the group.
"I don't much like the idea of trying to go in through the front gate. The map we've been provided clearly shows pylons at the main gate, probably to prevent any fool roaming ganger from driving right into a crowd of looky Lous, but our other points of ingress don't look all too promising either. If that service road is loaded with cameras it'll make a better route for a fast escape than it will for a blitz entry, and this grounds path probably wouldn't be able to handle my truck's weight, for sure not with the armory still in the bed.
If we can get me and a smooth talker in through the front door on a fake service call for one of their cams, pumps, fences, whatever the excuse needs to be, we can probably interrupt the security long enough for the rest to blitz up that service road or in along the grounds path. Maybe three if someone wants to try to hide in the back, but more than that and it won't look like a service crew coming in first thing in the morning.

With the Johnson gone, Boosts visibly relaxes. Reaching into the front pocket of jumpsuit she takes out a crumpled pack of cigarettes. After tapping a smoke out a smoke, she lights it and takes a long drag. If there Pig has any donuts (and they are in reach), she'll grab one without asking, flashing him her most winning smile and giving a wink. Eating and smoking she moves her hands around, turning and twisting the map in AR.
"The city is doing work on the main road leading up to the zoo, most of the cameras and GridGuide are drek (OOC I'm assuming if they are tearing up the road GridGuide would be messed up as well, please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll edit) "I'm liking the two way entry. If a few people could get in, the rest could drive onto that baseball field as a city ground's crew - tree trimming, checking trees for acid rain damage. Explains the vans, eh? When we go blitz, the vans just drive up the service road. Maybe that can be the distraction, you know? Drivers act like they thought it was a shortcut because the GridGuide is all messed up. I also might - might - be able to spoof the cameras. I'm no hacker, but I have some experience with security systems - especially if I can get an Access ID.
Boosts notices that she has ignored her smoke while talking, an inch of ash sticking out from the quickly dying cherry. She stubs it out in one of the many cracked plastic ashtrays around the table and she starts another one.

"Yeah, was planning on some astral recon after the meet. Which I guess is 'now'." Doc mutters. "If there really isn't any security, we can do this tonight if you're all up for it. A Spirit can down the security guy watching the cams quite easily, and non-lethally... But I don't buy this no magic backup stuff."
Reluctant to leave his body helpless in a room full of strangers, Doc Uzi gives everyone his public commcode. He finds a comfortable spot and projects astrally and heads over to the zoo.
-
"I do not like this blitz talk. If we've done our jobs we can leave as calmly as we enter. I like the plan of Talking your way in. If I hide in the vehicle I can sneak out while you do your fake service call. I can rendezvous with Doc's spirit and take down the guards with it, and unlike the spirit I can take down physical locks on the way to allow you entry.
-
"The who does the talking? As I understode, all this area is Zoo property, so why would an external team be there instead of their own gardeners?
And by the way, got you " Oni looks back at Doc Uzi "... args, stupid mage. I was asking if he can check out the river at the north edge of the zoo."
Oni remembered a robbery into an old warehouse with his old gang where they walked all the way through the sewers to get in. Wasn't a nice smell though, but on the other side the gang who was hidding in the building never saw them coming.
-
I think zoo property ends at the tree line, but I could be wrong. If I am we don't do a second team as a work crew
(OOC: Some clarification on the line of property ownership)
"Isn't the place still under construction? Maybe we go under as parts/materials delivery. If we go in that way, we're gonna need a bigger truck. Also, speaking of construction - any idea when the rest of the workers might show up to the grounds?
Boosts rolled her shoulders, stretching her back and neck, as she thought about what Lady Burn might have at short notice.
-
"I'm not an expert on bypassing security, but get me within shooting distance of the tiger and it's asleep for exactly the right amount of time," Critter said as she skimmed over the medical file the Johnson had given her, "I might also have an idea on getting the tiger out once we shoot it. Do one of you have a van or pick-up truck with chameleon Coating?"
She had wanted that for some time, but it was so bloody expensive.
"I'm going to take Tinks out with slab," She added, "Makes it look like it's dead. We simply load it in a truck belonging to a company that clears away dead animals and drive it out."
From the medical records she gathered she would need a double dose of slab. Double for humans that is. That should keep Tinks asleep for a couple of hours. She also took this opportunity to have a quick look on her collegues on the astral.

When the two going to leave, Oni thinks about doing the same, but on the other side, why should he? The two of them should be enough to take a good look at the zoo, plus the mage who should be around there by now. "Hey Rafa, can you take also a look at the construction side of the road, if there are some heavy maschines? Something big enough to move over this pillons at the main gate? Just a minute guys, just take another bottle of this stuff here...
Oni quickly went to the bar and comes back with a new bottle of beer.
The idea with the construction team is far better than gardeners or veterinarians, both are personal the zoo will most likely have themself. To be true most of us look more like butchers than like doctors, maybe expect of Doc Uzi there Oni points at the mage. Problem is that those construction stuff usually is delivered in shinny daylight and stealing a tiger is something more dark as ass biz. Oni looks at the map again Do you guys think the electricity line for the zoo goes under the road near the construction area? We can try to shut the whole building down.
Remembering Critters question Sry man, but I'm no freaking Kroesus, just a bike outside. If you know so much about critters, how would the zoo personal transport the tiger, we can steal a truck or so from them,... after we are in of course.

"I'll have a look in the medical file," Critter said while doing so, "often a zoo has a vet, but they don't have all the specialists, like dentists. Those are often shared between zoos, or are at a university and consult on difficult cases. We can pretend to be from one of them and there is a problem with the tiger. Just need a van in the correct colours, drive in, say there's a problem... Probably do it right after the vets change shifts. I tranq the animal and we take it out. We will just need some IDs and prefably a log file from the off-duty crew to support us."
Having brought in animals for a zoo before, she knew a bit about the procedures and she looked though the medical file for those specialists. If they have any, they should be in the file somewhere.
-
If you can tell me the location or name of those dentists which are working for the zoo, me and the rest of us 'butchers' can visit them and bring you all you need. Their car and their uniforms. Stealing cars and kicking some people's butt was much more Oni's area than impersonating or talking your way into zoo's.

Boosts almost says something when her two "partners" leave, almost. "If Neal the Ork Barbarian and spooky luchador get caught less people to split the money with,"/color]she thinks
@Critter Sorry girl, chameleon coating is to rich for my blood. To cover Faye in it though - watch her curves change colors at my touch. Mmmmm." she pauses to compose.herself. "As for fake IDs, I know someone. He ain't cheap but his work is good. Might come through. What sort of IDs do we want?"
-
"The downside to going in at night is going to be that it'll be a lot harder to talk our way past a gate. The first sign of lights is going to alert the entire sec team, and the middle of the night isn't when they'll be having grounds crew, a maintenance call, or a vet consult come in.
The downside to going in during the day is that more of the sec team will be able to see us with their meat eyes,"
{If any of them are fool enough to not have Thermo-contacts}
"But the camera system is reported to be Thermographic anyway, so the difference between daylight and cover of night is pretty insignificant."
Pig takes another pull off of what is now his 3rd pint of cheap.
"The less attention we draw, the better I'll feel about my asterisk being on the line here.
My truck is already rigged as a maintenance truck, you've probably all seen it, white, a little dirty, toolboxes and workspaces fill the whole bed. Getting in on a maintenance call, or at least getting close enough to stick and shock the gate guards is really just a matter of spoofing a work order. That I could have taken care of.
If we're going in at night, I'd rather avoid the gates altogether. If Doc can pull some mumbo jumbo together and disable the spider, a few of us can go in on foot and breach the fence. If I can't shut down their security from a monitoring station, I got a feeling that I can shut it down with a 'mechanical disruption', and we can worry about finding a critter carrier either from the monitoring station or on a quick look through the garage."

Walking home he waited for a call from the others, he hadn't taken their codes after all.
Going home to Puyallup took a while. Once there he slipped into his chameleon suit and tucked his Directional Jammer, Lock Pick Set, Wire Clippers, Endoscope, Radio Signal Scanner, Autopicker, Chisel, Keycard Copier, Maglock Passkey, Miniwelder, Sequencer And Plasteel Restraints into it's pouches and pockets.
He covered up with normal clothes and tucked the suit's helmet into his trench coat. Looking in the mirror a brown haired, bespectacled human looked back, he made him smile with fake teeth, frown with a fake ruffled brow. "Ready."
He made his way back to the zoo.

Boosts was tired of sitting and talking about daylight vs. moon light. Running off to scout alone seemed like a stupid idea, but she was just starting to feel that stupid. She wanted to get her drones (more importantly her bones) in motion.
@Nameless/Rafa "Oi, get me the name of the construction company."
She was going to take one more crack at finding info on the of the zoo construction project. She specifically wanted the names of the companies that primarily contracted with them.
Data Search + Browse(5)=2 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3106437/)
Nothing - a simple search and she got nothing. She wasn't diving into the Matrix anymore for info. Boosts got up and headed for the door.
"I can't stand being cooped up anymore. Gonna go do what I am good at and put some digital eyes on the prize. Here is my commcode. If you get the name of the dentist, I can get you the fake licenses you need.
On her way out she grabbed a bottle of cheapest vodka they had (I want the whole bottle) and went outside to Haruko, her scooter, (no way she was parking Faye in front of Ready's). As she is getting it started she'll shoot a text over Jake Ellis.
@ Jake "Hola hombre, how long/how much would it take/cost to whip up a couple fake licenses and AR tags? Nothing fancy. I'm looking for maybe two or three "employing" some omaes with a construction company and a set medical license/ARs for an exotic animal dentist. Let me know cost and time and I'll let you companies. If you can have them by early morning I'll sweeten the deal.
She drives off towards the zoo.

Okay Critter, find out where this dentists are working or at least how a their car and uniform look like. We are seven people, we will find you a fitting van, if we just need it for a few hours we can just steal it.You and two other drive the van through the east gate, DocUzi knocks out the camera guy with his voodoo, and the rest of use sneaks or swims inside, did I understand it correct so far?
Message to the guys who are at the Zoo:
You guys can also check out the northern edge of the zoo, see if we can use the river to get inside. Oni.

Rafa raced towards the zoo, the sound of his bike's engine howling in the night. He wanted to be what he considered low-profile and he reasoned that nothing's more suspicious than a gang-marked biker who isn't speeding.
Arriving at the location, he spotted a Knight Errant Patrol Cruiser parked near the construction equipment, keeping an eye on the equipment. They didn't really worry him -there were plenty of ways to deal with badges- but they might mess up the elaborate plans the others seemed to be making. Que chingados is taking them gallina anyway?
He took another lap around the zoo, noticed some places where the fence's electicity seemed to be down and parked his bike behind a high building directly north of the zoo. He climbed the building's exterior wall faster than most people walked. From his new vantage point he had a decent look at the park, his augmented vision further improved with thermal scans. Several animals, no surprise there. One guard patrolling, two camera's on the roof. Piece of cake.
His smartlink calculated the distance towards the building the tiger was supposed to be held in.
Shouldn't be difficult getting there with a zipline. He'd be above the camera's angles, could even easily take them out... Would the roof have any security installed? (0 hits) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3107034/) He didn't have a clue but guessed not. Noone ever figured roofs could be reached without first walking up to a building.
Message @ everyone who shared their commcode: "Some badges in a watching the construction equipment, some pretty heavy material there, company name's <insert name here>. I'm in the north, got a pretty good view up here and could be on top of the kitten's home in a heartbeat. You ladies almost done with your tea party and ready to do something or should I do all the work?"
-
@Rafa, @Boosts, @XXXXX
Got it, Knights-Errant on site. I knew the Johnson wasn't telling the whole truth.
(I'm assuming that myself, Doc's body, Najateh, and Critter are all still at the bar, if not I sent that out to the other errant runners too).
"With Knights on the premises, that makes daytime and nighttime a bit more of a challenge. If we can get them to leave, say on a bogus call or something, we won't have Knights to worry about but the sec team will probably be on edge. If we let them stay, our best bet is going to be subtle and slow by day or fast and quiet by night."
@(Same group as before)
Any word on those vets?
If we can get in subtle that's great, but if we can't I'd rather
not muck about all night and go straight into a hot plan.
-
Doc wakes with a yawn. "Okay, I got good news and I got... what the hell happened to everyone?"
<@Everyone> Doc texts his findings to those who remembered to share their commcodes.
-
@Rafa "I'm on my way there now. If you wait a minute, I'll be there to lend some drone support.
@Everyone "How are we planning around the construction crew and/or the cops?
-
Mierda, the pace these people move, that breeding program will have doubled the population by the time they get started.
He assembled his rifle while whistling a tune through his teeth and slammed in a clip of Stick and Shocks, which he'd bought especially for his new job. When he'd bought them he had finally understood why 'runners sometimes preferred to keep a low profile, the ammo had been ridiculously expensive.
He watched the guard through magnified vision, an AR crosshair formed over the guy's chest. He held his breath and adjusted his aim, the rectangle shrunk until it had formed a dot dead center over the guard's heart.
BANG, muerto.
Sucking through his teeth, Rafa lined up his next shot. Some kind of bovine-related animal. He centered where the heart would be. BANG, muerto.
He scanned the park for his next imaginary victim. A couple of minutes later, most animals that hadn't been put into their cages were dead in the ganger's mind. Hunting was fun. It sucked having to fake it, but at least it killed the time.
Comms: "What about the crew and cops? They're there, we're elsewhere.
I say I get on top of the roof, fuck up their cameras, then you... mobility-challenged people can come with a van pretending to come fix them when the spider calls for help. If you can jack into their comms of course, but I heard every 'runner group's got a techhead, no?
Doc, where's the spider's lair in the park? Maybe I can take him out after he's let you in."
-

"Right on," Critter said as she continued to rumage through the medical file in search for some external specialists and some trouble the tiger might have gone through, "Although we might keep one on the outside in a car or so to run interference with the getaway, especially if there's some cops right outside."
-
@everyone "My guy can get us a fake animal dentist license. We're talking bare bones by 9:30 tonight, something a little more in depth by early morning hours. 150¥ each for the skinny ones, 300¥ each for the meatier.
@Jake "Thanks, omae. As soon as I have the name of the dentist, I'll shoot it over to you. I'll bring by some real food next time I'm by your "office" as well. It'll be better than that plastic and soy you cram all the time. She sends him 50¥ for getting back to her so quickly.

Doc, where's the spider's lair in the park? Maybe I can take him out after he's let you in."
"That might work," Critter said as she followed the commlink conversation, "We just need tech IDs for that, or we can try to bluff our way through. Keep an eye out for any anomalies while we thinking people go over this. Also, can anybody knock the guards unconscious without making any noise? Either with a silencer or by hand?"
-
Oni smiles an evil grin. "If you say 'pritty please', I even can knock him down without break his neck.
His grin vanishs from his face. In my opinion, this fake license will inly cost us time and money. We should just steal a car and go there, there doesn't seems to be to many guards, so they will have better things to do than asking questions the whole night.
-
"I agree with Rafa's plan. Rafa I will meet you for a roof entry but need time to pick up my climbing gear. Get yourselves the licences to cover your end, electrical would be best"
He hadn't gotten far so returned home for his grapple gun, stealth rope, catalyst stick, gloves and climbing gear.
"We kill a circuit, you intercept the call, Doc zaps the spider he saw with some kind of mojo, we tranq the tiger and extract, knocking out guards if needed. I'll check their chatter once on site with Rafa to best advise Doc. Critter and co, you'll probably arrive near the zoo before me though so if you can get a line on their comms, go ahead. That sound wiz to you guys?"
-
<@Team> Wait-what now? Do you want the rest of us to head over there or am I doing this remote? I can be there in a jiff in the meat, but I'd appreciate a pick-up if we're doing this now.
-
"I don't really know how it works, that'd be up to you Doc."
-
We put you and our rigger here into Pig's van and drive to the zoo, I assume now.
-
(OOC Boosts left the bar after the Rafa and Nameless took off, she's actually arriving at the zoo now according to Crash_00)
Boosts parked her scooter, three blocks from where the street turned off towards the zoo. The heavy moisture in the air had made the ride an unpleasant one, leaving a sticky feeling on the back of her neck and knees, in her elbows and armpits . But the adrenaline was pumping good and hard now, so she almost savored the heightened discomfort . She grabbed her Pulsar, fitting the holster her belt, so that the grip was in the small of her back. She slung her pack containing some tools and a few carjacking odds and end over her shoulders, wearing it low to cover the taser. Finally, she sent her two Fly-Spys up into the air, telling them to stay high and watch over her while she walked towards her destination.
Walking past the construction work, Boosts headed into the trees on either side of the road leading up to the zoo. Creeping along so as not to make too much noise, she found a comfortable spot in the trees and hunkered down. Highlighting Tink's cage on the map, she sent one Fly-Spy towards it. Hovering over it and looking for guards. The other she'll remote control over to the Spider's booth. (OOC: Is she picking up any active/passive nodes or do I have to make a Detect Hidden Nodes test)
-
Okay, I will drive then too, making a little stop and get some stuff for plan C.
Oni take his bike and drive to the zoo, making some short stops to get some extra gasolin for his spare tank and some cleaning cloth from the next gas station. On his way out of the bar he also takes the empty bottles from the backroom and order another bottle of alcohol for the night. Just in case the team need some ditraction... like a burning construction side.
-
Satisfied with the plan and eager to have the Vory's nuyen, Pig walks out of the bar with a slight nod in Eddy's direction to check his truck.
"We're on our way now," he said into his commlink as he stepped out of the truck bed, AK-97 in hand. "We'll wait for Boosts' signal before we get too close. 10-15 blocks otherwise. Lets make this happen."
One glance at the AK-97 and Pig is ready to go.
{Stick n shock. Good.}
"One of you is going to have to ride in the back," and as soon as the truck was loaded they were off in the general direction of the Zoo.
-
PM @ Nameless: "Pick up a bottle of cheap but strong booze and a sixpack on the way here. Always good for something."
And bring them back 20 minutes ago. Hunting & beer go together so well.

Swinging by a booze shop was simple enough.

Boosts shakes her head in frustration at the lack of information she picks up. "Hijo de puta!," she thinks. "Come on chica, you've got to do better than this. Her bravado shaken, she hopes the active/passive nodes she can see will be enough to pull off the job. She's got to prove her worth.
-
"C'mon, Doc," Critter said to the mage when everybody started to leave, "you can drive with me if you want. I have some room in the truck."
She went outside and got into her car, a Toyota Hilux painted a drab olive green. On the outside the car looked normal except maybe for the winch at the front. With the mage she rode to the zoo, waiting a bit before it to drive in when the call came, but stay outside of the view of the guards and the knight errant cruiser until that time. She had put her commlink on, so she could stay in contact with the rest of the team.
"Critter and Doc in place," she said when they arrived.
-
Oni arrived next to Critters truck and parked his bike somewhere near the beginning of the service road for the zoo, making sure he wasn't seen by their cameras. He had his voice mask and his google on and take a brief look over the area and look for a good spot for an ambush.
It should be away from the construction side with the KE cops and without to many cameras from the zoo.
Looking for ambush spot(Perception): 3 hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3108802/)
Oni spoted a place but it wasn't perfect.
Repeat(-1): 6 hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3108803/)
If he found a good spot (GM: did he found one?), Oni marks the cameras on the zoo map and send it to the others.
In case we have to stop the real electricans, it would be good if we use your short circuit to shut down those cameras.
-
Waiting for the response from the others, Oni sends another short message:
Hey, why are we so sure that the camera man will call the electricans again and not for example the caretaker or so?
-
[Time frame: It's been almost three hours since (currently 9:50) the meet started (I'm assuming nameless got a cab at some point because walking to Puyallup and back is roughly a full day trip (approx 40 miles each way) and roughly a 45 min. drive). If anyone has any last minute things they want their character to have done (buy donuts, picked up extra gear, shoved bananas in tail pipes), feel free to let me know.
Is Oni looking for a place to get a shooting vantage from, or is he looking for a place to ambush hand to hand, if the later you're going to need to make an infiltration check to get to it. You have found the same building that Rafa did which can see a large portion of the park, and a fairly large tree that can see to the front gate. There is also the crane, you're fairly certain if you managed to get up there you could see everything. Then again, there is a police cruiser right underneath it.
Boosts found the communications node after only a few minutes of fiddling with her Commlink. It's obvious that they're system is fully running yet because they've hooked the spiders commlink/security cams up to a Stuffer Shack Signal Antenna. You don't find anything hidden so far. (Don't worry about the edge point)
I'll let Rafa buy hits to land the Zip line hook and tie it off. Rafa and Nameless (if he's going by zipline) will need to make an Agility + Climbing (2) test (you can buy hits at four dice/hit if you want) and an Agility + Infiltration test. The climbing hits will help (or hinder) your infiltration.
Did Boosts want to get the licenses from James? He's had time to make Rating 1s by this point.
What time are you guys wanting to actually start the show?

[Logic + Demolitions (2). Don't forget the -1 to Logic if you're defaulting.]
Oni manages to sneak into a nice dip in t he earth close to the main gate. You're crouched next to a sprinkler that's spraying fairly warm water and you're hoping it will help mask you on thermal.
-
Waiting for the response from the others, Oni sends another short message:
Hey, why are we so sure that the camera man will call the electricans again and not for example the caretaker or so?
It won't matter who he calls if Boosts can intercept the signal.
In fact, if he calls someone we haven't thought of, we can keep
him occupied on the call long enough to get in position, spoof a
work order to my commlink and proceed from there as if he had
called in a tech. We're pretty well relying on some bleeding clockwork
to keep this plan on the rails anyway.
Play it by ear at this point
I thought there was a gap in KE coverage around 2 or 2:30, we'd most likely be planning on going right before or during that.
OOC - can someone get me caught up as to who is where and in what vehicles? Lets make this happen, it's time to make some money.
-
Rafa will spot a brown haired human with wrap around AR glasses as he arrives. When he arrives he slides the beers over to Rafa to show it's him and strips down to the blur suit and gets geared up for the climb, asking Rafa for help with the safety lines and harness.
"In Position, Rafa and I should enter and kill the cameras before 2am so KE is gone before the 'electricians' arrive."
He gets out his radio signal scanner and turns it on.

Agility 6 + Climbing 5 + Assisted 2 + Feet 2 + Balance Aug 1 (16d6.hits(5)=4) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3109862/)
(FYI, Climbing's normally a Strength test instead of agility, but whatever.)
Rafa's stealth check:
Agility 6 + Infiltration 4 + Ninja 1 + Nethits 2 (13d6.hits(5)=6) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3109866/)
Not sure how you wanted the extra hits to help infiltration, I added net hits to the dicepool. Last two dice were 6 and 1, so if you wanted it another way, it's 5 hits instead of 6.
Can Rafa assist Nameless with climbing? (Helping with the gear, leading and showing how it's done, giving a few pointers over subvocal etc.)]
He looked at the equipment the nameless figure had brought and realized he'd almost forgotten that to most people, vertical surfaces were considered a barrier to be conquered with lots of gear and effort. To him they weren't much different from pavement.
"Sure, let me help you with that... You's got to tell me where to get that kinda outfit man, I'd kill for something like that.", he said while he prepared himself for the climb by simply removing his boots and tying them to his belt with the shoelaces.
To the nameless ghoul it was probably best not to think about the fact that in a few minutes he'd be hanging dozens of meters above the pavement on a piece of rope, having to rely on a person who just said that about his possessions.
-
Boosts chuckles when she notices the drek tech they are still using.
@Rafa/Nameless "I'm going to make sure you guys have a clear landing area.
With that she'll tell the Fly-Spy hovering over Tinks' cage to do a 20 meter circle around the building.
Sensor (0) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3109941/)
Boosts swears under her breath, annoyed that the Drone isn't seeing anything on its own. Taking out the bottle of vodka she took from Ready's she pours out some on the ground around and leaves the bottle open leaning against her. She hopes that should someone stumble across her while she's jumped in they'll simply mistake her for a drunk kid. With that she jumps into the drone near Tink's cage and does another looks again while doing the rounds.
Perception + Sensors (3) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3109943/)
(OOC: Any guards/drones/etc?)
Having seen what she seen she'll pull back into her body.
Finally she'll shoot Jake a message. @ Jake "Doesn't look like we'll be needing those vet licenses after all. How easy would it be to change the coding over to an AR tag for a Tech Company. She'll send him another 25 for being a pain in the ass.
-
"I already did kill for it."
He didn't seem to have just been sabotaged so he got ready to climb. He was pretty sure Rafa wouldn't wear it if he saw the underneath.
-
@Boosts: I'll have three for ya by midnight, that's all I can do. Just tell me where to send the paper boy with them and pay me in the morning.
At about fifteen past midnight a young orc staggers up to you and plops down beside you. Somewhere in the process of of passing out you wind up with a newspaper (and three shiny RFIDs folded inside) on your lap.
Scanning with your drone, you find that one guard seems to be stationed with the construction crew while the other two are patrolling on the south west and northwest sections of the zoo. You find the security drone with the tranq dartgun parked outside of the Spider's comm room, but it appears to be shutdown.
The human slides down the zipline and makes a rough, but nearly silent dismount onto the warehouse roof. A few seconds later, the ork is beside him without a sound.
[I know climbing is usually strength, but sliding down a zipline is a piece of cake. 90% of the trick is the dismount, especially if you're being quiet about it.]
-
"We're in, hows it looking Boosts?"
-
@ Everyone "Rafa/Nameless you're clear for the time being. I've spotted the three guards. We have one dealing with the construction crew, the other two are on the other side of the zoo, patrolling the parking lot and reptile area. Their dart shooting drone is off at the moment, so don't worry about needles in your asses. I also have the three light, generic RFID tags identifying us as electricians. Critter, Doc, Pig, Oni, which of us is rolling disguised as the crew and which of us are rolling in under the cover of darkness? I'm in the trees on the west side of the road to the zoo. I'll stay here until I've grabbed the call that goes out, then I'll come meet you guys. Where are you? If I can't grab the call, I'll stay here to help with the ambush. Sound good?
@ Jake Ellis "Met your guy, got the tags. Gracias, hombre, but next time could you find a delivery boy and little less drugged out?
Nervous about the next part of the plan (and her abilities to pull it off) Boosts kisses the Saint Frances of Rome and Saint Nicholas of Myra medals that hang around her neck.
-
@Everyone: I'm near the ambush spot so I will just wait until you fail and prepare to stop the real electricans. Are there any guards at the service gate? Pig or Critter, in case the talking fails are you guys good enough to silence a guard or two near that gate?
-
@Everyone, "I can put a mark down, it won't be quite silent though. If it comes down to me doing it, expect a brief B-R-R-R-A-P of stick n shocks coming from whichever weapon was handy at the time."
-
@Right now there are no guards near the gates proper. Let's see how Plan A goes before we start double-tapping anyone. Guys and guns, I'm telling you, guys and guns. Y'all ever heard of a taser?
-
"Seem to remember someone using that on me once. Nasty sting to those suckers, but didn't end well for that puta."
-
Bigmouth, and you ever heard a guy screaming when he got one of this darts to his balls? That will even wake up those stupid donut-eaters at the construction side. Men and Hands, I'm telling you, bare hands.
-
@Everyone "Yes, you guys are fire, hard drek. I'm sure you've got the pollas grandes to back up all the talk too. Rafa/Nameless are you going to short the circuit the cameras or am I going to walk off to find excitement somewhere else?
-
Logic 3 + Kit 2 + Hardware 1 (6d6.hits(5)=2) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3110858/)
Cleanly and made to lok accidental the cameras went down.
"While you guys were Macho Runner Bonding, I was killing their cameras. You're on Boosts."
If any of them screw up at least I still get a meal out of it.
-
After fumbling around under the seats of his GAZ for a moment, Pig pops back up and lays a stun baton across his lap.
"Scratch the B-R-A-A-A-P from my last message. Looks like old Betsy was still in the truck after all."
{We've had some good times Betsy, haven't we... memories of tazing rookies and such}
-
"Me and doc are in my car, ready to go in," Critter said over the comms, "not too many people should go in I guess. Three max and one car. boosts, I'll swing by to grab those IDs on the way in, okay?
She quickly lifted the back seat of her car where her smuggling compartment was. While she didn't do much smuggling, she found it easy to stock certain pieces of equipment, like a hunting rifle. While waiting on the ok to go to the zoo, she loaded two darts with a double dose of slab, so they were ready when she needed them. Normally one should be enough, but experience had thaught her that you couldn't be too careful and having to prepare a second shot while a two ton awakened rhino was charging towards you isn't a good idea, so she prepared an extra round. Her taser she had with her, while her sword stayed with the rifle for now. Besides her form-fitting body suit, she was only wearing an armoured vest and not her full camouflage gear, as the latter would be a little bit suspicious on a tech coming by to fix a camera.
-
[OCC: I am assuming that Critter's statement happened before the cameras went down.]
@Critter: "Sounds good. I would park and take Pig's van. I'll try to jump into their drone. Give you guys some more than eyes. Maybe put a needle in their ass. Also if I get the call, it's coming to you."
[OOC: After Nameless kills the camera]
Boosts closes her eyes, crosses herself and tries to detect any signals coming out of the antenna.

[OOC: Does she pick up an outgoing signal? I am not assuming that the Spider is reacting the way we think he will. If he does though, below are the rolls to capture the signal and send it to Critter. I am just getting the rolls out of the way to move the game along.]

"Okay, will do," Critter said, driving the pick-up truck over to where Pig was waiting. She took her sports rifle, her Predator IV and her sword and put it in the back beneath some other stuff except for the Predator, that could go in a normal holster as it wasn't that unusual this time of night to drive around armed. Her goggles and earbuds of course, as well as her respirator. She also put a medkit in the back, just in case, and she also had a small case with her lael shots in a pocket of her armoured vest.
-
Now that the cameras are offline, Oni drives offroad to the ambush spot and hidde himself (and his bike). [OOC: I assume the rest of the cameras on the service road are still online]
Stealth + Agility + AdeptPower + Bioware = 5 hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3109464/)
Let the others do the work, if they want, Oni thought to himself as he opened the bottle of liquid bread he brought with him from the bar. Tell me, when you guys need an ambush or something, I'm at the spot and waiting.
-
[The call comes straight through to Boosts without a problem.]
@Critter:"This is the Zoo Project.I need one of your men back out here PRONTO. We told you if this happened again we're going to look for a new security system contractor, you've got twenty minutes to get it fixed or I'm calling it in to my corporate. I'll have a guard meet you at the first check point on the service road. He doesn't even let you get a word in before he ends the call.
Boosts, Chrona, and Rafa all notice the zoo drone come online and start circling around the Isolation Cage Warehouse, and Boosts and Oni see a guard from the west side of the park head over toward the service road in a security golf cart.
-
Boosts can hear her pulse in her ears, the rushing thumpthumpthump blocking out all other noise. She loves it.
@Everyone "Start those engines, green light is go. Their drone is hot so Rafa and Nameless be careful. I'll try to do something to the drone's Thermo-sensors on it - buy you guys some time. Doc, if you're gonna cook up some mojo to the Spider now is the time. Also there is a guard heading toward the service road so anyone along the fences be careful.
Boosts's hands blur in the air in front of her as she manipulates AR icons, counting on her Ein and Swei to keep everything in signal range.
"C'mon, c'mon. Keep everyone off the radar."
When she spots the drone's node she'll try find the signal being sent from it.
Electronic Warfare + Scan (1) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3111634/)
"Drek, I'm better with the driving than I am with this computer stuff," she thinks to herself before standing up from the tree. She slips the bottle of vodka into the arms of Jake's snoozing Ork messenger and heads out of the trees. Just to be on the safe side she'll try to stick to as many shadows as possible, don't want to louse everything up by being spotted now.
Agility + Infiltration (1) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3111646/)
Boosts is not the most graceful as she moves from shadow to shadow, but she seems to get it done.
@Everyone "I found the signal but couldn't grab it, I'll try again after the handoff so stay frosty. Critter, Pig, and Doc, I'm heading towards you guys.
-
Doc gets in the vehicle and leans back in his seat as they drive off.
<@Team> Let me know if you guys want some mojo to help you out.

Will describe actions once number of services are known. If successful, Spirit of Man will be in the Astral waiting to be called.
-
Go time. As soon as Doc and Critter have piled into the fron of his GAZ, Pig takes off toward that first checkpoint.
"Service road, right?" he asked the others in the car.
Over the commlink he announces, "We should be there in 12, don't start the party without us."
-
[Sorry, haven't dealt a lot with conjuring. Spirit of Man = 2 hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3111809/), which if I understand right means you have two services.]

[Sorry, haven't dealt a lot with conjuring. Spirit of Man = 2 hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3111809/), which if I understand right means you have two services.]
Yep, 2 services (manifest, possess, inhabit, and astral form don't use up services) and some drain to resist. Generally a service counts as any extended action taken by the spirit (whether it uses no powers or all of the spirits powers to complete) of up to an 8 hour duration. When in doubt, the spirit can handle whatevering 1 target per level of force.
-
"Wait another 12?", Rafa whispered to his companion on the roof, "Good thing you brought booze, then... On second thought, let's see if we can find the kitty."
He walked silently to the north side of the roof and crawled over the edge, sticking to the wall like a gecko. He searched for the tiger's cage, listening for the nocturnal creature's sounds and looking for small barred windows of animal isolation cages.

[OOC: We only have three electrican ID's, so Oni will not go with Critter and Co. Also, is the guard driving on the service road or does he stops near the east gate?]
There comes the welcome party. Oni send the rest the positions of the guard in the golf card Just one guard in a golf card.
@ Critter, Pig,: Just in case you can't convince this guard to let you in with your car: Play along, but let the door of your car open. Shut down the cameras and I can drive the car to Tink's cage.

He followed Rafa letting him take the lead, he kept quiet in case he got a chance to hear the drone approach.

4 hits on the Drain test, no drain.
Let me know if and when you want the Spider to take a nap. Otherwise, I can keep a group of 6 or so Concealed with a -6 penalty to be perceived.
-
When they arrived at the service entry of the zoo, they spotted the guard waiting. Critter motioned for Pig to put the car so he would be at her side, while she lowered the window. She quickly flashed her ID they had picked up from Boosts, so he saw it but didn't really had the time to inspect it very closely.
"Good night," she said to the guard, We were called here to fix some cameras."
-
The light drizzle from before has picked up and turned into a steady downpour. As Rafa and his shadow slip down into the warehouse, the steady drumming on the
roof almost manages to drown out the sound of the drone, but you both hear it moments before it pauses at a nearby window. It hovers for a moment spotlighting
an area ten feet to your left, then hovers off, keeping its low patrol around the warehouse. You both relax slightly only to tense up again as you hear a guttural
roar echo through the warehouse. Sounds like Tink's is awake, and a bit on the cranky side. You realize that Tink's Cage is right where the drone spotlighted on its
pass by.
[If you guys want to do anything in the next ten minutes let me know]
12 minutes later
You pull up the service road to the first checkpoint to find a golf cart waiting on you. As you pull up next to it, a grumpy old orc looks over at you and gives you a gap
toothed smile. "Well aren't you a pretty little thing. What can Gripes do for you tonight."
Alright Critter, give me a Charisma + Con with a +3 modifier (+1 for the guard wanting cams up and +1 for having the RFID and him expecting you, and +1 for being
attracted to you even though he knows it won't go anywhere).
-
After the handoff, Boosts continues her walking away from the zoo, doing her best to appear like a normal person out for a stroll through Redmond at night.
She'll send the Spy-Fly that was over Tinks' cage to hover above the guard waiting to meet Critter and the rest of the "repair crew."
@Doc "Hey, now might be a good time to throw that mojo on the Spider - make him really need a pit stop.
After that she'll again try to capture the wireless signal coming from the zoo's drone.
Electronic Warfare + Sniffer (2) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3114608/)
"Merida," she curses under her breath. "I can't grab this thing. Ok, change of plans."
She shifts her attention back to the Fly-Spy hovering over the Spider's hut, trying to find his specific node again.
"O.k. Mr. Spider lets see if I can find things on your end.

Computer + Analyze (2) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3114623/)
[OOC: Boosts wants his Access ID and his alert status if possible. She should get those unless he is running Stealth.]
-
[Access ID: IISHERE8, Alert Status: None]
Judging from the route of the drone, it seems like he's set it to patrol the area that the disabled camera usually monitors. You'd doubt he's actually jumped in
currently.
-
<@Boosts> You got it.
<@Everyone> Spirit's away, off to convince the poor Spider he needs to sit on the throne.
Doc closes his eyes briefly and sends an image of what he saw earlier in his Astral recon. He sends the Spirit of Man to Influence the Spider to run immediately to the washroom and stay there as his stomach isn't feeling right.
Will the Spirit of Man need to Materialize? If so, he can use the second service to Conceal himself. If not, the second service is to follow the Spider to the washroom and stunbolt him till he's unconscious, hopefully while on the "throne".
-
Watching the drone pass he guessed Boost hadn't wrangled it yet. His head turned when the roar came.
"Tiger spotted, transmitting where it is to your mapsofts."
-
"Well aren't you a pretty little thing. What can Gripes do for you tonight."

"Let us in to fix the cameras," Critter said with a quick smile she didn't really felt on the inside, "That way you can get out of this fracking rain and I can get back home. My shift ended 5 minutes ago."
-
[The spirit, by my understanding, will need to manifest to affect the spider (since he's only
on the physical plane).]
The security guard gives Critter a wink and a smile before responding, "Just stay
behind me and try not to run me over."
-
{Great googly moogly. This guy has a job and I'm six months behind with the Vory?}
Pig drives casually, following Critter right through the checkpoint.
{I'm going to get some serious satisfaction out of ruining this Mickey Mouse company's reputation. Mickey-fragging-Mouse.}
@ Everyone
We're past the gate. Be sure to be out of sight when we get to the tiger cage.

When every run keeps this easy, he has to bring more beer next time, Oni thought to himself.
-
Wake me up, when something interesting happens. ... are you sure we are at the right adresse?
Boost was annoyed the moment she got her "teammate's" message. Always some chummer hoping to bust some heads when being quiet-like made life and reputations so much better.
@ Hey Oni, are you hoping something goes wrong? Maybe get a bit of fence cut so our boys have a way out or check in on the Knight, perhaps make it tough for him to call in backup should the drek hit the fan.
-
Doc knows that the spirit was successful in both concealing itself and influencing the Spider.
By this point, the Spider should be in the bathroom having a sever case of constipation (as far as he can tell)
-
Oni moves a few meters away from his post and takes a look at the construction side.
Looking for the KE cops: 5 hits (no edge) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3116066/)
[OOC: I assume that nothing has happend around the cops, otherwise I slightly edit this post later.]
@Boost: You have to admit, someone is paying 35k for this tiger and all we get is a 'Hallo welcome to the zoo, please follow me.'
from a tiny guard, the world usually isn't that nice?
By the way, the cops are still eating their donuts and doing their job, means stay out of our way.
[OOC: Crash: Can you give me more details destribtion of the construction side and the Knights there?]
-
"If the spiders down can someone drop this Tiger all ready? Hows that drone coming Boosts?"
-
"Doc, be prepared to take this guy out," Critter said to the mage while they were driving behind the golf cart, "a stunbolt or something like that should be enough I think. I'll give him a shot of lael and he'll be none the wiser. I'd rather not he sees the rifle."
Before we arrive at the tiger's cage, I quickly assence the guard. It would be just our luck to have one that looks like an idiot but is in fact cybered to hell and back again.

He waits for a signal to Stunbolt the Guard.
Force 9 Stunbolt at the Guard, he should more or less drop with just 1 net hit.
-
Boosts weighs her options as the drone's node dances in front of her. The wise thing to do would be to just the drone out of the way: the spider is no longer an issue, the guard will be down any moment, Critter has gun full of tranqs - no need to set off the Zoo's Matrix security if she didn't have to. No need, just putting one more stamp, one more piece of evidence into the run, but man, oh man, would it be fun. She's buzzing from all her previous successes of the evening, rubbing her fingers together like a flatvid treasure hunter.

"Be careful," Critter said over the comm to all crewmembers, "This guard has quite a bit of cyber in him. The others might as well."

Boosts threw her hands up in the air after crashing her way through the node's Firewall. She was fire, totally RC Pro. Then she noticed the Alert that had popped up. She chuckled thinking about the flashes and warning icons that were going off on the passed out Spider's comm.
"Let's go ahead and turn this off," she says, deactivating the alert. [OOC: I don't know if I need to roll anything for this] With she decides to go ahead and edit out records of there ever being an alert.

Maybe wait a bit so I can first see if the tiger is awakened, despite what the J said about it, I'd rather not take any chances."
Either was bad. Overdosing was logical, as the animal could die, but underdosing meant she would have to add a second dose and that could be too much. It was better to be careful in these matters.

-
As Oni watches the construction site, a second cruiser pulls in next to the first one. The windows roll down
and you can make out that the two units are talking to each other. Your heart begins to pound as you tense up.
After a few moments the newcomer hands across a box of donuts and coffee to the old car and they continue their
conversation. It takes a few moments, but you blood pressure slowly drops back into the normal range as you
realize they're just yakking at each other.
[The construction site has two cranes right next to the zoo fence that appear to be being
used to build some sort of billboard tower. Currently each crane has a tool crate lifted about sixty feet
in the air to further deter theft of the equipment. The Knight Errant Cruiser hasn't moved since you arrived
other than rolling down the window for the conversation.

Brake lights on the golf cart flare up in front of the tech team as the vehicle slows down to a crawl. Through the
steady rain and thrashing wiper blades you can make out that he's talking to someone. As you're deciding the next

Oni catches a glimpse of the third security guard hustling toward the security station, he appears to be talking
to someone over his commlink.

"We're stopped and I'm not sure but there might to be a problem," Critter said over the comms, "are idiot seems to be talking to someone. Maybe it's Oni's guard."
She checked again if her Predator was ready. She only had special ammo for her rifle, but if she needed her Predator the fecal matter had hit the oscilating unit anyways.

Oni shadows the guard, staying to the shadows as he hurried to keep the guard in sight. As the guard is about to
cross the bridge to head toward the Security Building and Isolation Cages, he looks over his shoulder toward Oni and
suddenly dives into the foliage near the river bank.
The Golf Cart suddenly pulls across the service road, and the tech team sees Gripes bail out on the opposite side
of the vehicle, and yells "Exit the vehicle with your hands up or I'll shoot," as he swings an old Predator over
the hood of the cart.

Boosts:
It takes a little bit to get the alert to go down, but you finally manage to smash through the drone's firewall and hit the switch. You head is still pulsing to the rhythm (-1 to rolls during first turn),
but you manage to take a quick glance around and realize that the alert was sent to three commcodes when it went off. You turn the drone's attention to the service road and you can make
out both vehicles, but you will have to get closer to manage to see the actual people.
Critter:

Taking the trees for extra cover he heads there quickly.
"I can drop the guard in 6 seconds. Try to hold off on blowing our cover all to hell. Hows it going Boosts?"

"Puta de madre." Rafa swore to the night around him. He'd been waiting too long for something so simple (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3121978/).
"Fine, the hard way don't work, let's try the easy way."
He crawled towards the barred window of the tiger's cage, tossed a grenade through it and continued towards the nearest door.
[OOC: Breathtaker gas grenade, Arsenal p83. 8 Stun damage, every point of damage deals a -1 wound modifier (instead of every 3 points). Don't know if you deal extra damage over time 'cuz the tiger will be trapped in the gas a bit longer... if it knocks it out cold, so much the better. Rafa's immune thanks to nanites.]
-
@Boosts: Damn spiders, my ass it out here, yours isn't. Get the damn drone over here now and quit acting like you make more than the rest of us or I'll call Trevors and report your ass again.
On the drones sensors, you can clearly see both Oni and the other security guard.
As to the question of what exactly can be seen in an image link, it really just depends on what you are running on it. I view an image link just like a monitor. If you're running a mapsoft and have Nameless's Comm hooked to it, then you can see exactly where he is to the thousandth of a meter. If you're just viewing him in in normal vision, maybe highlighted in AR then you'd have to guestimate the distance.
RAFA
As the grenade hits the floor of the cage, you hear a soft padding sound and the grenade is suddenly batted against the side of the cage. You see the tiger pounce at it again just in time to catch the first puff right in the face. It staggers for a moment and then somehow manages to let loose a roar even louder than the first and begins slamming itself against the cage walls, visibly denting the metal.
Oni

You think you can hear something just over the edge of the hollow and peer out looking for it, but you just see trees swaying in a light wind.
-
Nameless continues to glide through the trees toward the unsuspecting guard.
Gripes keeps his gun trained on Critter now that he can actually see a target, "Alright then, you just keep your hands where I can see them and tell your friends to get out also. There's a tinner car just off the zoo property that I can call in if you'd prefer they get involved, but I'd rather keep it simple."
-
Oni keeps low and continue to listen, (Perception: 5 hits) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3124346/) not sure if the guard saw him or not. At least not until the rest of the team officially start the punch-the-guard part of the plan. Maybe the guard will keep on waling if he doesn't see him again.
-
Pig continues to slouch in the truck, steadying his gun in case things go south.
Gripes keeps a bead on Critter while he mutters something into his commlink.
Rafa sprints to the nearest door and tries to force the door, it holds up so he lights the miniwelder back up (simple action next phase to finish opening it).
Oni hears a low voice on the wind, but can't quite make out what is being said. It sounds like it is just on the otherside of the small fence above your hollow.
Oni has one more pass then it will be initiative again. People can start rolling if they want.

IP1: Free Action, Call out the open door "Hold on bub, some of us aren't gymnasts." Simple action, pop open the driver side door (which is the one I assume is facing away from Gripes, more or less. Passenger door if I've got my images reversed.) Simple action, delay action the same way as the last round, ready to put a set of stick n shocks into Gripes.
IP2: Sort of depends on if Nameless has jumped Gripes at this point. I'll be stepping slowly out of the GAZ, keeping my AR-97 obscured by the truck if he hasn't gotten to him yet. Much more casually if he has.
The longer this takes in real life, the more it feels like one of those old West stare downs where the tension is atmospheric but the white hat and black hat really only watch each other for a couple seconds. More nervous/fear sweat for Orson.

Boosts: The drone closes in on Guard 2. You see guard two say something into his headset and it immediately pops up in your image link: Whatever's out here seems to have dissapeared. Critter was standing at the door of the van, ready to dive behind it as soon as Gripes was going to shoot. Her Predator was easily accessible, but she's rather not use it, as she hadn't loaded it with stun rounds and it would make quite a lot of noise. She was still hoping to get this done by talking, but so far it seemed a stalemate.

Alright Boosts, the drone has moved within short range of Guard 2.
As the drone hums its way closer to the Mouthy Guard, Boosts rolls her shoulders in their sockets. She had just started practicing with using onboard weapons on drones. She needs this shot to work. Taking aim with the drone's targeting program (Free Action) she squares in on the yellow/green/red mass that is the Mouthy Guard. She crosses herself, says a quick pray and gives the order to fire.
Gunnery 1 + Command 4 + Take Aim 1 = 3 hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3132986/)
[OOC: It should be like a surprise to, because he wasn't expecting to get shot in the back by his own drone. Right? So all those hits and whatnot go straight into awesomeness?]
-
Boosts fires at the second guard. For a second she can't tell if she hit or missed, but suddenly he falls limp along the bank of the river.
Rafa sees about twelve cages in the warehouse with a plethora of odd animals (Red Apes, cheetahs, two very large panthers, along with several others). There is some diagnostics machinery and a vet table in a corner.
There is also a small Tiger Truck (Pun Completely Unintentional (http://www.tigertruck.com/gas/champ/index.html)) with a caged bed sitting in the warehouse.
That ends initiative.
Rafa hears the Tiger continue to roar, getting more and more enraged until finally all movement stops. Shortly after a loud snoring echoes out of the cage.

Rafa heads towards the tiger's cage.
@Team: "I'm inside and the cat's asleep. There's even some transportation here. Anyone know the value of exotic animals on the market?"
"Here, kitty kitty kitty."
-
"Yes, I do," Critter said, "But we're here for the tiger, so let's get that out without taking anything else. We will probably get enough heat from getting the tiger, so let's not add to that."
While saying that, she grabbed her rifle and walked to the cage to have a look at the tiger herself.
"She's sleeping," Critter said after a short look, "strange, but it can help. Makes putting the slab in her easier when she doesn't move. Is the van ready?"
-
"You sure got here fast." Rafa said with a smirk when Critter showed up before he'd even had a chance to touch the tiger. "I mean, after the security was scouted and taken down and snowy here was knocked out.", the self-satisfied grin didn't leave his face.
@Team: "I know what we are here for, we got paid for it. I am here to make money. That means doing the trabajo I'm hired for but doesn't mean I can't take on small things on the side if they're worth it. A bunch of cred-in-a-cage just sittin' here with security already out ain't an oportunidad I'm planning to miss, cabron. I don't know what cop trids you watch but theft is theft, there's no "half thefts" 'cuz the chorro only emptied half of the vault."
-
Providing I'm not held up be Pig
He walked out of a shadow behind Critter, trying to keep out of the gas which he could see the shadows of on the astral, he'd been there sometime before Critter and thought Rafa hadn't noticed him. His tone was nicer than it was to Pig,
"Do it in your own time then Rafa. Don't drag us into your own thefts."
-
"Don't worry," Critter said, "You city guys can't recognise an awakened Critter if it stood in front of you and suddenly dissapeared. And yes, there are animals who can do that. And some of them can do a lot worse than that, take if from me. Now, let's get the kitty in the van and out of here."
-
"Critter you just described me, well done."
-
The gas is mostly dispersed by the time the rest of the team arrives. A nearby cage of cheetahs also got a full lungful of the gas, but most of the caged animals just look angry.
Just let me know how you're loading up the tiger. Is Critter giving it a dose of Slab?

"Ok, let's have a look before we load it up," she said, "If some of you can look around for a way to transport it to the van, I'll check to see if it is all right."
-
Critter The Tiger is healthy but asleep, and not awakened. You don't see anything in the immediate area thats magical (other than other PCs that are magically active).
Pig The guard has a Novatech Airware and a Predator 4 on him. He's wearing an Armored Vest embroidered with the zoo's logo and when checking his eyes, you notice he's wearing contacts with electronics in them. His keys are still hanging in the golf cart, and he doesn't have any restraints on him. If you're wanting to access his commlink, give me a Logic + Computer (2) check to register your image link without causing the commlink to reboot.
-
Rafa shrugged and turned his back on the guys who were dealing with the tiger. The stupid cat hadn't been any harder to knock out than anything else. Besides, if it was so special, powerful and dangerous, why the hell was it almost extinct? He looked at the Cheetah cage, an idea formed in his mind and a smile appeared on his face.
Cheetahs... Like tigers, only portable. Great!
He cracked his knuckles and walked towards the cage.
There was bound to be someone who wanted one of those as a pet or guarddog. Even if they couldn't be trained -he realized his knowledge on these animals wasn't really great- they were bound to bring a good crowd and large bets in some pitfights. And after they'd died, there'd be some people who believed there was power in genuine cheetah tails or paws and a cheetah head would really look nice next to all the other bling the higher-ups used to decorate their place.
Two of the cheetah's lay stunned on the ground, a third stood growling in a corner obviously annoyed by the gas but struggling to stay on its feet.
Rafa hung his rifle over his shoulder and opened the cage making sure his muscled body blocked the animal's exit.
"Sólo una pequeña mascota, gatito."

Oh come on, seriously?

4 net hits.
Once in I'm not doing anything fancy, just formatting the commlink. A burst write test on PART0 should nuke the entirety of physical storage... no permanent damage but also no way to recover the lost data.
Unless those contacts really look like they have their own ORU, those are no threat. The Ares IV on the other hand, that's going to need a smartgun system disabled and a clip ejected.
Logic + Armorer (9d6.hits(5)=4) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3136676/)
(Going to repeat that process with the other guard, the weapons part of it at least).

Orson will pull the keys out of the golf cart and leave it where it rests, keeping the keys, clips and Ares's to toss into an animal cage or something where a revived guard can't simply grab them and start firing.
{No restraints?? Seems a little odd, then again this is a Mickey Mouse firm}
"One of you guys wanna help me get these guys into a Tiger Ca-", Pig says as he walk through the now open (or at least unlocked) door to the warehouse just in time to walk in on Rafa and the Leopards.
Coughing slightly and covering his nose and mouth Pig chokes out, "Why do I even bother???", and goes looking for an aggressive animal cage to deposit the guards' trinkets into that doesn't include a Rafa.
-
PigYou delete all the files on the commlink, but you notice that its been sending a constant live stream from the commlink to another source (probably the security room). You can toss them in a cage full of panthers right inside the warehouse.

Well those files were going to have to be handled by Boosts anyway, unless they really want me to go walking into the security room, but with 0 karma spent I think that's a bad idea.
@Boosts: The guards' commlinks were set to stream the optics
and logs. Make sure they're out of the central system and that
the system hasn't been feeding them right back to corporate.
Edit: Cleaned up code box.

Critter was working with the tiger, checking if the animal was ok. As it wasn't the first animal she had tranqed, she was very quick. She first did an astral scan, followed by a scan with her medkit.

At his first opportunity, Doc will cast a Force 9 Stunbolt at the snarling animal out of panic.
-
All of Critter's tests tell her that the tiger is stressed and angry but otherwise a perfectly healthy specimen. It has a slight wheezing, but its already becoming lighter and is definitely a result of the chemical gas.
Alright, Critter and then Doc go (I let Rafa and the cat go first since that's where everything started).
-
Well, into the panther cage with the guards' toys.
While these guys cause a ruckus in the leopard cage, I'll take a quick look around for a supply cabinet or shelving to find rope, heavy tape, an extension cord, heavy duty leashes and animal restraints. Anything that could be used to improvise binding and tie these unconscious guards to something or together. Of course he'll abandon all that if it seems like KE is already on its way, but for the moment he's feeling like we're pretty much in control of this crime scene... all except for the orc looking to wrassle a leopard.
-
You can easily find some heavy duty muzzle restraints and duct tape.
-
"Levitate would be good, doc," Critter said when she suddenly heard the rucus in the next cage, "Just fucking great."
She went to the next cage, saw Rafa and the Cheetah. As she didn't want to hurt the creature, she tried to calm it and get it back down, using what she knew about great cats from her adventures in Africa. Cheetahs were some of the smaller of the big cats, so she was larger, which was a help. She did find it strange that there were multiple Cheetahs in one cage as they were solitary, unless it was a mother and her cubs.
She did keep her rifle close by just in case.

Critter gets the feeling that if the cat had just been territorial, she would have been able to get it to calm down, but with the added stress from the drugs it ignores your attempt to calm it. The cat rears back to pounce at Rafa again and... I'll let the Doc roll his Stunbolt here
-
Doc grits his teeth with the effort, unleashing the spell in a panic. In the back of his mind, the snarling of jungle cats brings the smell of tepid water and burning wood. It's enough of a distraction as his concentration slips, the mana burning in his etheric veins as it passes through.

Quickly beginning to worry about getting out of here unseen, he really wished they'd ignore Rafa.

The cat went unconscious halfway ifs jump towards him and bounced off against his muscled chest. Rafa laughed out loud, it sounded like the barking of a large dog. "Nice on, Doc! Wasn't really necessary but I'm glad someone here's got some sense in 'im! Now let's find a way to get these cats out of here."
He turned towards the cats, threw one over each shoulder and dragged the one with the nosebleed out of the cage by its tail.
-
Critter put herself in Rafa's path, keeping her rifle so she could have it ready in an instant.
"And what exactly do you think you're doing," she asked, "If you want those cats, at least have the decency to carry them all, and not drag them by their tail. You should have respect for the things you hunt. Doc, get the tiger. If he wants the cats, he can take them out on foot. Let's get moving."
She quickly assensed the wounded Cheetah, not only to get an idea about its state of health, but also to see if it was awekened.

Rafa stepped forward until his face was but a couple of inches from Critters. His mouth formed a grin, this time not the amused one he'd shown before but the one he'd learned on the streets. The type of grin of the type of person who knows that backing down from a challenge means losing everything for which you'd fought and bled to get. Losing a challenge, even if it meant a lot of hurt, was a lot better than turning back from one.
His voice was stone cold and red hot at the same time, it was obvious that he was struggling with himself not to become violent and that interrupting him would end that struggle quickly.
"Really? Now who the drek died and put you in charge, cabron? You want to know what I think I'm doing? I'm doing the job we're being paid for, without fucking it up like you're doing.
Do you know what you're doing? Huh? I don't think so. Or do you really want to claim that in the 2 seconds it apparently took you to examine snowy there, you scanned it for tags too? 'cuz that's what you should be doing instead of getting in my way. Scared of cats, scared of cops... let me tell you what you should be scared of."
He shrugged his shoulders and tensed his muscles, causing the cheetahs fell to the ground.
"If in my streets anyone gets in my way like you're doing, they're dead. I could crush your windpipe and then snap your neck like a twig. But let's say that I can't, because some higher-ups don't want bad blood between your people and mine. If you end up dead in some dumpster, the bosses will send their men to ask 'Who had beef with Critter?' and word on the street will be that Critter dissed Rafa in public, so Rafa had no choice but to kill him. But the bosses won't like that and come looking for Rafa.
So instead of just using you like a punching bag and then throwing you away like a used condom, me and some friends will come to visit the place you and your friends use to party and do business. We just toss some molotov's and burn you and your friends and any putas inside and finish whoever makes it out.
And you know what? Word on the street will be that someone took you and your friends out of business. And the higher-ups will ask 'Now who'd want to see them taken out of business?'. And the answer will be 'everyone who wants a larger cut' and that'll be it, 'cuz they earned it.
Comprende, amigo? You get that? You really should. Because that stuff's going on here too. You see, you grab just the tiger and leave. Now the big company and the cops ain't as good as finding criminals as crime bosses, but even they will ask 'Now who'd want to take that tiger?' and 'Who was close to the thing before and got cut off recently?'. And there's one answer: that stupid little corpse who hired us. And I can tell you right now that he won't last long on the grill and will spill the beans on all of us.
But if lots of cats go missing, the question will be 'Who'd want to steal a whole bunch of cats?'. And guess what, that worthless fur-loving midget ain't one of the answers."
He bent through his knees to pick up the stunned cats again, his muscles bulging as he lifted them.
"I get that you must be new to this breaking-the-law thing and scared drekless, so I'll be nice and understanding. But if you dis me like that a second time there won't ever be a third.
Now I've seen you're very good at letting people do their jobs. You sit chatting in a bar while I scout the place, hide in your car while the rest takes out security and then come in and drug a cat I've already knocked out cold. So why don't you keep doing what you're good at and let us finish this job."
@Team: "Boosts, where the drek are you? Think you can clear these cats of tags and get this truck started?"
-
"You're not doing just the job we were paid for," Critter said calmly, "because we're not paid to take those Cheetahs, only the tiger. Second, if you keep dragging that cheetah by it's tail like you were doing, it will die and would be worth nothing. Third, we're not in your streets. Four, you brought the job in danger, as you dropped a grenade with a substance into the tiger's cage without knowing if said tiger was allergic to it. We're not getting paid if the tiger is dead, so you put that in jeopardy. I knew what could harm the tiger because the time you said I wasted while in the bar I spend reading over the information Mr. J provided. Five, I've hunted things that are much worse then you, my boy. Awakened critters that would have you for a light snack without even stopping. And I've hunted these in environments you wouldn't survive two seconds in. Six, while in the bar I, together with some others, were making plans. You know, things you make to let an operation go smoothly. While your recon was useful, stopping some time to make a good plan is as well. And seven, although you are right about is that taking the Cheetahs will add some cover, you might discuss things with your team members before running of. Because right now the only thing I see is a maverick who can't be trusted. Also that's no reason to kill them while doing so. In that case you could have just dropped a real grenade in the cage. So just remember that there you're not the only tough guy in this crew and we'll get along just fine."
Critter took one step to the side, leaving only just enough room for him to pass. She kept her rifle so that she could shoot at any moment, even though it wasn't pointed fully him. the safety was also still off and as she remembered, the dart currently in the chamber still had the double dosis she had prepared in case the tiger needed two.

"You don't like me draggin' the cat by its tail? Then you take it. 'cuz that's the only way I'm going to be taking 3 cheetah's at a time. Counting and talking, 's all you seem to do. You'd be sitting and planning for hours and still end up doing the crap I came up with while waiting for the rest of you to get your thumbs out your asses and start working.
An allergic tiger, hah! You just keep worrying about dumb shit like that while the rest of us do the work in the real world. Not in my streets... you wouldn't last a minute there. Street's a much more dangerous place than your 'environments' will ever be. Predators lurking everywhere but they don't have fluffy furs and obvious markings. They look like everyone else and they'll take you out not 'cuz they're hungry or scared but just 'cuz it might be fun watching you bleed to death while they steal your shoes and commlink.
And haven't you been listening to a word I said. Covering our tracks and leads to the midget who hired us IS part of the job, unless you want to spend your money in jail or 6 feet under. No point in blowing the cats to pieces, they need to be gone from here. Only reason I give a crap if they're dead or alive is 'cuz alive they might fetch a better price and make less of a mess when moving them.
And put that stupid gun away, if I wanted you dead you wouldn't be holding it anymore. You've got some cohones stepping up to me, I respect that. But don't push it, cabron."
In his own way, Rafa was really making an effort to be professional.
Rafa stepped past Critter with the two Cheetahs over his shoulder, then turned sideways to see if he was taking the third.

"Sure," she said to Mr. Nameless while picking up the cat.
"Don't worry," she added to Doc, "I'll stay with them, both the Cheetah's and the tiger in the back. Despite what some people might think, I'm still the expert on animals in this group. Besides, the tiger should be out cold for a couple of hours at least, long enough for us to drop her of with Mr. J. I would have stayed with the tiger anyways to monitor."
'As if it's the first time I've brought in tigers," she muttered to herself as she put the cheetah with the others, "but no, ignore expert advice."
"Someone is going to put the cameras back on," she asked while taking a syringe with lael out of one of her many pockets on her vest, tapping out the bubbles and going to the downed guard who had seen them, "I'll quickly give mr. guard a little shot of forget-all and we can go as far as I'm concerned."
-
"Why put the camera's back on? You may not have noticed, but your cover has kind of been blown."
-
"Well, this one will not be able to give much in the way of evidence," Critter said as she gave the lael to Gripes, "he might have issues remembering he should be on duty at all."
-
"Yeah some Laes'll wipe their memory, Rafa. So they won't remember the encounter. If we turn the cameras on the Spider will take longer to realise anythings wrong and Gripes isn't just napping. We can be gone by then."

"Yo, wait up hombre. Let me climb back up, I'll keep watch from the building's roof. 'sides, my ride's parked there. You take the hook when I'm there, I'll pull the line back up."
Rafa removed his boots and tied them to his belt again. It didn't take him long to climb back towards the roof (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3146089/). He moved across the rope with the same ease an ape would, barely slowing down from his normal movement speed.

<@Team> "Alright, I'm not in the mood to get screwed by the Johnson with a cat fetish. I'm gonna do a quick recon of the place, anything you all want me to check out while I'm at it?"

"Just a second, Rafa," Kitten said from the back of the car, "I'll have a look."
Now the cats were all out, she quickly got on her commlink and called up a map of Seattle to see if she could find a high building with view on the rendez-vous spot.
-
Doc: The place seems clear. There is an ambulance out back with three people in it. You recognize the Johnson inside in the back, and their are two humans in the cab. The stuffer shack is long since abandoned and all you find are a couple squatters in the basement.
Critter: You find the abandoned building on GoogleRTSat quickly. From a quick scan, you figure the best vantage point would be an apartment complex two lots over. There is a fire-escape leading to the roof level and it's tall enough to look straight at the meet.
-
"Let's get this over with."
Stepping out of the truck when it stops he heads for the johnson

I'm assuming that anyone who wanted to take a vantage point did so.

Kitten kept monitoring the tiger and the three cheetahs in the back of the van. She also used blankets or something to cover the cheetahs, so Mr. J wouldn't see them even if he looked into the van. A last thing she did before arriving at the rendez-vous point was checking her weapons. She put regular bullets in her rifle and checked that her sword was correctly placed and easily accessible. She also checked her pistol, but that was a secondary weapon. Her shotgun had to wait, as it was in her truck.
-
Nameless: The Johnson seems at ease. No anxiety, no fear, just calm. You've only seen this kind of mood in the biz with people that are on drugs to keep their nerves down.
Rafa: You notice another man across the street on a roof with a rifle. He's wearing a paramedic uniform and seems to be watching the meet. He doesn't have as good of a view as you and doesn't seem to have noticed you.
The Johnson hands you seven credsticks and mutters under his breath, "There's 3k on each."
Just as you finish counting them, the van comes to a stop with the back facing the ambulances bay doors. Both the men in the ambulance get out, keeping their hands in the open, and come back to help load the tiger and strap it into place.
"Well seems to me you've done a great job at getting Tinks out of there. If you feel up to it, I got another job for you next month. It will be a bit more complicated but you know the location fairly well by now I'd bet," he whispers,he shifts his feet and gives you a smile before changing over to a booming shout as the ambulance revs to life, "but it seems we're wrapped up here so we better rush this poor man off to Renton First before his sorry ass kicks it."
-
"Good evening sand god speed."
After checking the validity of each credstick he disperses them around the group. "So that's 4k each overall, see yah around."
-
"Right. See you if I see you," Pig says with a wave as he turns back toward his truck. "You all know how to reach me if something comes up, but I got to go see a man about a thing."
And with that he hops back into his truck and drives back toward Auburn, to his hole in the wall backhouse apartment.

When the credchips were handed out, Critter turned to the group, including Rafa on the comm.
"What are we going to do with the Cheetahs before Rafa finds someone to sell them to," she asked, "who's going to keep them that time?"
-
"Why not just leave 'em in the back of the truck? Cats ain't that good with door handles... I think."
-
"Rafa unless there's a reason to stay up there come get your cred'"
-
Comm: "Just making sure that sniper's really gone. Pretty good view, could shoot people in 3 different Stuffer Shacks from up here."
A few moments later he left the roof and drove towards his colleagues while trying to reach Pablo on his comm.
-
Pablo gets back to you after a few minutes telling you, Meet me at the Cage House and we'll discuss trade
-
Rafa arrived on his bike, halted with screeching tires and accepted his part of the payment.
"Pablo's willing to talk about trading. Ain't no need for all of us going there, in fact if you don't know how to behave on that kind of turf it's probably best you don't. But we'll probably need to bring the cats along. I'll lead the way on my bike, just follow me."
"Unless you're willing to let me drive the truck.", he didn't sound like he was expecting that to happen.
-
I'm assuming that anyone wanting to come to meet Pablo has.
The vehicles come to a slow crunching stop on the graveled lot. A large warehouse stands beside five rows of storage units. Moments after your vehicles shut off, an old rusted van pulls up beside you and Pablo steps out, immediately joined by two of his soldiers.
"So, where're the cats at? I'll look them over and see what I have to trade in that range."
After a quick glance at the sleeping cheetahs.
"Alright, I can give you a thousand in trade for each of the good ones and five hundred for the busted up one. Normally I'd give you a lot more, but it was just on the scanner, trouble at the zoo. I'm guessin' I'm lookin' at the trouble right now. That means I got to keep 'em low and fed for a while before I can make my money back on them."

-
"Hah! The reception here's crap and the few that catch the news will pay to watch the talk of the day in action! Free publicity, hombre! And that third ain't busted up, not bad anyways. Just a nosebleed."
-
"They a more agressive subspecies, you know," Critter said when she came out of her truck, standing next to the door. She had her hat on, of course, and her sword on her back and pistol on her thigh. The shotgun was in the clamps build in the door. She also did a quick assensing of Pablo and activated her agility boost, just in case.
"I've seen guys like that fight before," she continued, "back in Africa when we disturbed a female with cubs. Luckily the point man had a helmet on so we could still identify him. And besides, the time you have to keep them out of sight should be more then enough time for the third one to recover. I can get you a list of what is needed to bring him back to full health. Why don't we say 5000 for all three?"
Her price was high, she knew, but she was sure they could meet somewhere in the middle.

"Alright, 4000 for the lot. You can take anything you want in trade out of the truck and I'll get the rest for you in certified."
He's got any light pistol, heavy pistol, or SMG with availability under 10. He also has:
Ares Alpha
PSG Enforcer
40 APDS Sniper Rifle Rounds
Riot Control Armor w/ Helmet
Everything is at book price.
-
Rafa shrugged, he would've been happy with the first offer too.
"Great! I'll be nice an' share with you Critter, you get a thousand for driving me here."
He picked up the rifle, shouldered the rifle and watched through its scope. When he looked up, he seemed happier than a kid with a new toy and cotton candy on a stick.
-
Critter checks if there is a silencer for her Ares predator. If there is, she takes that and the rest in cred. Otherwise, she takes all in cred.
-
"Keep the cred, I'm not letting this puppy leave my hands." Rafa said in Spanish as he wired over the rest of the money for the rifle and the bullets. The transaction complete, he nodded to Pablo.
"I'll come watch the fights, maybe place some bets. You know, I had some hand to... paw with that cat. They ain't so tough but damned they can be quick. Should be really entertaining."
He walked towards his bike, got on. Its engine started, growling in the night. He shouted to Critter in English, his Spanish accent was a thicker than it had been before. "You need an escort getting out of Chulos turf or think you can manage?"
He hadn't thought Critter would be satisfied with her part of the cut but she hadn't complained. She'd showed him respect on his his own turf. It had earned her some credit with him.
-
"Don't worry about me," Critter said, "I drive a truck that looks worthless and in case someone gets clever, I can defend myself."
In fact the pickup truck was in very good repair, although it didn't look the part, but that was intentional. Make it look a bit dirty and nobody would look twice at you. She nodded a last time at Rafe, but he seemed occupied with his new rifle. Just like a child in a candy store she tought as she drove of.
